Sir what's difference between Ethernet and profinet ?
With ethernet we connect our computers and office equipments
Profinet is built on ethernet for industrial controllers, is much faster and more bandwidth
we use IP addresses in both
Major difference in the layer being used in OSI model
We use OSI model to differentiate it

@@RanaMuhammadAwais but sir there are 2 protocol in siemens Tia portal software, profinet & Ethernet.
So which one shall I use to communicate plc HMI & drive ?
We use same ethernet cable to connect plc to other plc and drives
We call it Profinet

Siemens only provide trial versions
Some people try ekb installer which I believe is a crack, you can use it on your own risk
I highly encourage to get a license if possible :)
