@@yankyruss7246 :: you're absolutely right. They didn't give the deputy sheriff a hard time and set the tone for the interaction. This is how most situations go. Not every call you roll on does it require six police officers to take some guy down that's on PCP. Maybe once a week or well actually at LAPD it's kind of common. 40 years and now retired I don't miss that part. This Deputy did a fine job of being a peacemaker. He gave them that little break they needed to catch the breath and head on down the road. Yes, he could have written quite a few citations. He chose not to.
The cop could have added to their troubles and made a deal about the broken wind shield, but he took the high road and did the right and decent thing. The man has a heart.
I have to disagree with you but that car with the windshield bashed in is not safe to drive. I agree the cop was nice about everything though.

@Steve Turowski no. Because for a situation for something like that, they need to break a law to get in trouble for it first. When the judge asked the officer "what law did they break 8n order to be stopped, he won't have a reason and it won't hold up in court

I got a ticket, years ago for having a small crack in my windshield - 3 to 4 inch crack - on the passenger side. I can’t believe they let her drive that car. 😡
She was gonna drive it to get scrapped.
Different areas have different laws regarding windshield damage.. that really is excessive though.. where i live cracks are fine

It wasn’t an issue when driving, but she had to pay a good bit to get it replaced so she could get her car passed. I have NO idea how they got off bc that is seriously dangerous
The cop probably saw that they had a lot of tough luck in the past weeks and decided not to give them a ticket while they didn't even have a roof over their head

It’s officer discretion really. It’s weird Greene county won’t barely do anything but if you go into the suburb of Nixa they will pull you over for a microscopic crack. Greene county is usually pretty good. Springfield has some of the most lazy cops you will ever meet. I mean their almost as bad as country rural area cops.
I don't usually take cars to the crusher, but when I do I give them the "Derby Look"

Love LivePD!!! Love the busts and action but also clips like this to remind that police really try to keep the peace and not cuff up if possible. Defenses naturally go up when officer approaches your vehicle but taking a breath, maintain respect and things will be better for you (legally). Kudos!!!
Good for the cop to have the empathy to allow them both to talk it out. Good for the couple to know to stop and not drive upset. Overall handled really well.

You keep getting pulled over because your in a nice neighborhood and your car looks like you were just involved in a hit and run accident, busted windshield, blown out back window, all the windows in the car down yelling and screaming at each other.
I've watched ace ventura pet detective numerous times and I learned from that movie you don't need to see out of the windshield.

The condition of her car is more alarming than anything else. That probably wouldn't be legal in some states. A&E really needs to step up their game, ever since they started uploading one video a day their content has been horrible for live pd, I'm about to stop watching these.
