Which do you prefer, the crimson or the blacked out blade with the true copper color?
I like the both of the techniques. Both are very unique. I dont know too much bout knife making, but I am wondering what a higher grit sanding would look on the blade.
Blacked with copper colour for me fwiw.
However if the handle colours were reversed so the handle was predominantly red then the red stripe would suit better.
@@forevermorewinds1555 this was sanded with 1500-2000 between etches. You don’t get much higher.
@@Marcus_Shaw yeah, that might have been interesting. I’d have to go with G10 or something. I think the handle looks better in person though. It was lost quite a bit in pictures.
To be honest man, it’s a waste of time!! Lol 😂 the first few times it’s used, that color will come off immediately, it’s cool looking but after the coffee etch it looked AMAZING!! Then it seems like it kinda lost some of that after the “crimson tide” poisoned the copper Lol
The pattern on the blade is stunning. In fact the whole knife is amazing. The crimson process does bring something to the table, but the coffee/copper finish would get my vote on this occasion.
Yeah, I agree the copper with the black etch seems nicer. Thanks for watching
Agreed.
I both agree and disagree at the same time…
The crimson is awesome, and it's definitely a good thing to add to the mental "toolbox". That said, I do personally prefer the standard copper and blacked out edge in this case. 🔥 Thanks for the awesome content!
I agree completely. It’s a cool technique to know but I also prefer the black/copper. Thanks for watching
I normally love the copper and black look, but for this one? That red on the steel is HOT! And it's in my favorite knife design! Seriously impressive work.
Thanks for checking it out, Joshua!
Perfect piece of art

Thanks for checking it out, JP!
Very nice work again. This knife looks awesome beautiful
Thanks for checking it out!
Man just one piece of your making would make my entire life. I would adore it and pass it down to my children and they would pass it down to my grandchildren, it would be a family heirloom. The work you do is incredible. maybe one day when i finally have much disposable income i can get into the bladecraft and use your videos for guidance and inspiration
It's really not that expensive to get started. You can get into this for less than $500. Watch my Beginner Series playlist. 👍🏻
that knife looks badass. that knife was forged with the iron from a million people's blood. that thing has a legendary modifier.
Ha, thanks for checking it out!
So cool! Great job. Love that blade
Thanks for checking it out, Mike!

Beautiful
Thanks for checking it out!
Honestly I think that both are absolutely beautiful and that is one beautiful knife that anyone would love to own
Thanks for checking it out!
Beautiful work! Love the coffee copper look big time.
Thanks for checking it out!
I love when copper is incorporated into a knife, it's my favorite look on a blade. Red treatment is a nice added look for the right knife. I love it, well done!
Thanks for checking it out!
Every single time I watch you it makes me want to do this. Just the art of creating something like what you produce is incredible. Thanks for sharing as always. You keep amazing us every time.
You should try it! Thanks for watching
Bro that’s beautiful 🤩
Thanks for watching, Rajesh!
it´s wonderful!
Thanks for watching, Luis!
A well made tanto is a devastating puncturing implement. Accordingly, I like them with straight blades & generous hand guards.
Thanks for watching!
That knife is perfection, just like the rest of your work... I really like the forged carbon scales... it's nice to see something different from time to time.
Thanks for checking it out!
Another masterpiece by Tyrell Knifeworks
Thanks for checking it out!
this is absolutely extraordinary!!!! It is a work of art . That knife is really very beautiful. And that red tone looks incredible.
you are a true master all your knives are absolutely great.
Thanks for checking out this build, Sandro!
Amazing craftmanship. You make it look so easy. Coffee for me. I really enjoy your videos
I agree on the coffee over this process. I actually went and redid it with coffee for Blade show. 😉. Thanks for watching.
I like the red, very unique look.
Beautiful knife great work as always.
Thanks for taking a look, Scott!
Thank you so much for the metric conversions. Makes a lot more sense to me 😂 also love this knife. It’s bloody beautiful.
Thanks for taking a look!
Wow! That turned out awesome! As you stated the crimson looks amazing and matches the lines. I'm not sure that I would replace the copper look with this one.
I can definitely see adding it in on some projects though. Thanks again Dennis!
Thanks for checking it out, Stephen!
Juste Amazing it's my favorite!
Thanks for watching this build!
That my friend is one beautiful piece of cutting art!
Thanks for taking a look, Kenny!
wow thats cool! you make me wanna get back in the shop!
Thanks for checking it out, Michael!
Wow that red is striking! I really like it. It feels like a fresh take in the Damascus knife building scene
Thanks for checking it out!
Beautiful, Love the Damascus pattern. personally, I like the copper/coffee look. Great job!!!
Me too, Daniel. I prefer the coffee and copper. Thanks for watching
The crimson look is absolutely stunning.I’m going to try and do Copper in a build just for that purpose
Thanks for checking out the build!
I love both, the red is very different, but I think that the copper look at the end of the day is what people are really gonna be attracted to the most and I myself would prefer the copper over the red even though it’s really cool, I just think the copper looks more fitting to the Knife design overall. I’ve been collecting knives for many years and my collection consists of folders and fix blades but I’ve never actually had a custom fixed blade knife in my collection. Lately I have been thinking about having someone do a custom fix blade in Damascus considering all of my collection both fix blades and folders and I have no Damascus blades at all but I would really love to have a fixed blade in Damascus, I think that the process that goes into it is amazing and the end result is absolutely beautiful. I follow a few different RUclips channels that are specifically about forging Damascus billet and blades, and your channel is the first one that I started following/watching and I think your work is amazing and would love to DM with you and maybe have you do one for me very similar to this one if not the same one, but if you would reply to my comment and maybe we could work something up and have you do a custom fix blade for me and there is no rush but I would truly appreciate having one of your knives in my collection, so please let me know if that something that you can make happen. Thanks, Tyrell. 👌🙏✌🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Man, that is Hands down the coolest looking knife I've seen anyone make/post! The final product is just bad ass & the pattern, color and profile of it really adds to just how awesome it is
Thanks so much! I appreciate you checking it out!
@@TyrellKnifeworks no problem! One day I'd love to be privileged & fortunate enough to own/display one of your knives like that in my gun room/collection! I had to watch the video again just because its insane how cool it is, well made, intense the pattern & copper color ended up and just awesome it is/looks! Whoever ends up lucky enough to own that I hope they realize how lucky they are and amazing it is!
It Looks amayzing I love the look of the Damascus 😀
Thanks for watching this build!
Loved the Red effect-Crimson and Black are a great combination. Liked the coffee and copper look too tho. Both are equally impressive. Beautiful work.
Thanks for watching, Jonathan!
@@TyrellKnifeworks I never miss one of your videos...Love the Triple T info.
Love it
Thanks for watching!
Wow, that red is really striking. Of course the normal copper is pretty too.
Thanks for checking it out, Jesse!
This is the most beautiful knife I’ve ever seen! You had me at crimson copper
Thanks for checking it out!
Superb
Thanks for watching, Ejaz!
I just found your channel your work is amazing
Welcome to the channel! Thanks for watching!
Both versions look awesome to me
Thanks for watching this build!
That’s beautiful! I think the vibrant darks are more my speed; this is a killer build! I didn’t know baking copper would do that. Great video Dennis!
Yeah, it’s not that hard to get this but you need to do it after freshly sanding the blade it seems. Thanks for watching, Ben!
I'm in love with damascus with the original copper color, I'd crawl over broken glass to get my hands on that design in a chefs knife. Incredible videos.
Thanks for checking it out!
The crimson tint on the blade does steal the show however my favourite is the all black blade with the true copper colour. I just loved it.
I did end up refinishing this blade with the copper/black finish. Thanks for watching
@@TyrellKnifeworks oh wow that's awesome, I know you always make the right choices. And thank you for this awesome work of art.
I prefer the crimson. Very cool build.
Thanks for taking a look!
It's so great to see a full tang. I don't get smiths what will keep going for too tiny tangs. This one is amazing. The red really makes it look unique.
There are a lot of reasons for hidden tang knives. Any knife that typically requires a guard, for example. Done correctly, a hidden tang knife is plenty strong and would never break under use. Realize that just about every sword made is a hidden tang. 😉. Thanks for watching.
Oh WOW ❤I'm in love ❤️ that is dope 😮nice work very nice
Thanks for checking it out, Andres!
Thank you for putting the metric measurements into the video aswell! :)
I try to put in the conversions now. Thanks for watching!
@@TyrellKnifeworks trank you for your Videos! :)
THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL KNIFE I'VE EVER SEEN

¡Gracias por echar un vistazo!
I love the Coffee/ Copper look myself. Either way looks good but your craftsmanship out shines the most!!
Thanks, Keith! I prefer the coffee and copper too.
I like the red - its a very distinctive contrast against the black and silver tones.
Thanks for checking out this build!
That is a beautiful knife, I like the look of the red copper.
Thanks for watching, Riley!
I prefer the blacked out and copper one. Beautiful knife.
Yup, me too. Thanks for watching!
Another work of art. Between the copper and the reddening, I think it really depends on the handle and how well they match.
I actually redid this one back to copper/black. It sold pretty quickly. 😉. Thanks for watching.
I prefer the red, very nice work my man
Thanks for checking it out!
Wicked sweet looking with the red. I love how the red liner matches the shade of red that the copper came out to be. The handle scales look great, one thing i would've done was to use red hardware aswell. Any rate it looks awesome either way.
Unfortunately those gulso bolts only come in black and stainless. Thanks for watching.
That's a great looking knife dude, your work is always awesome! I can't imagine the copper would stay red over time with this process. I'd go regular ol' coffee etch on this one.
Thanks for sharing Dakota Wilson's process. He makes some incredible knives. Some of his knives are like looking at a magic eye picture 😛. It's always refreshing to see people creating something unique.
I prefer that dark with the copper color myself but I wanted to try this. Thanks for watching, David!
oh damn i love the red! i like the copper color too but with this one the red looks very epic. i love it
Thanks for checking out this build, Denise!
I dig the forged carbon scales
Come sempre un ottimo lavoro🎉buona pasqua
Grazie per aver guardato!
100% keep the red, it looks awesome with the red contrast in the blade.
Thanks for checking out this build, Willard!
Sencillamente fabuloso

Thanks for checking it out, Andy!
Red looks bad ass 🔥🔥
Thanks for taking a look, Clark!
Love the red, honestly! It's not something you see every day. ❤
Thanks for checking it out, Brian!
Absolutely beautiful knife. I do think coffee and natural copper color looks best but the red does look good.
I’m with you, Jeremy. I prefer the copper color as well. Thanks for checking it out.
the crimson is pretty neat, but i feel copper is the way to go. either way, its a lovely blade as always. i appreciate your experimentation and sharing the results.
I’m with you, Chris. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful blade . Defo look better with the copper.. 👍
Yeah I agree, Scott. Thanks for watching
The red is different but in a good way.....do I love your copper knives? Yes!!!! Do I love this for the difference? ABSOLUTELY!!!! The red style displayed with a matching style copper in a desk top glass case, a dream come true for me!!!! Well done as always!
Thanks for checking it out!
Awesome Dennis, the red is nice but I like the copper better.
Yea I have to agree. Thanks for watching, Henry.
Man Denis, stunning! I even like the Crimson stripe!
Thanks for checking it out, Brady!
