For meal planning I’ve done lots of different ways but the one I’m finding most useful at the moment is a 2 week rotation- on payday deciding on different meals for two weeks (in this I also do things like Mexican Mondays, pasta Fridays), and then repeating this twice a month. Found it saved me so much time and money :)
I do pretty much the same thing as the buckets :) I allocate an annual budget to each category though. There are some annual expenses that are usually in the spring and are well above the monthly average multiplied by the past months (like taxes, car insurance, etc.). It's the same for the grocery bucket because I buy in bulk (for 3-6 months) some shelf-stable items (flour, coffee, etc.). That way, I don't worry too much if I have to spend more in a certain month but of course I keep track of all.
Agree on everything. Also it helps a lot to cut on meat. At least once a week to do some veggie meals like lentil bolognaise or chickpea curry they're so filling, tasty and cost fraction of the meat version. You're doing great work Mia. Love your channel 🥰
this is really cool and i really appreciate not feeling the obtrusive "influencer" vibes, please never change, you are a real breath of fresh air
Thank you so much that's so kind!!
