When I showed my Grandpa the video of the launch and the photos , I saw that 78+year old man almost in tears as if he had just seen someone being brought back from the dead, the gleaming look in his eyes , told the rest of its story itself, the story of how he sold his bike(his beloved black Jawa 250 A type) in order to build a house for his Family, needless to say the word Jawa is more than a name , it's an emotion, an emotion full of nostalgia and charisma.
Here after reading your comment, Told my father about Jawa and he was in nostalgia he told me how he had one in his younger days and how much he loved his Jawa. His curiosity brought him on RUclips and Now I have booked one although he can not ride it he just wants it. So yes Jawa does have strong emotional connection

Most of the comments are about cursing RE for its vibration who 90% are not an owner of it, yeah sometimes even I scold RE but I don’t curse, RE should really work towards reducing vibration and refine the engine and give necessary features, I accept it. And It’s all about how you treat about your machine either RE, JAWA, TVS, SUZUKI, HD or TRIUMP, rather than just looking at it as a machine treat the bike as a family member, like a brother, a friend or a lover (most probable option). I own a classic 350 and i bought it 2 years back, I purchased this machine with my earning as i had love to bullet for more than 10 years since i was in school. It was a dream comes true moment. I travel a lot in my bike, kind of wanderer may be… I love to ride bikes. I understand that my bike vibrates a lot, even after reviewing everything because I had the love to it. New buyer just want to go fast and if you think that 350 cc can do more and it is not the machine for you. I can cruise comfortably at the speed of 80kmph and I even go in 100kmph for long time wearing all the gloves with less vibration, because I maintained my bike very well, and it still looks as same as new. MAINTAIN YOUR BIKE WELL. FOR RE BIKES YOU NEED TO SPEND MORE MONEY FOR MAINTENANCE, It is not a triumph or Harley or an interceptor which is very costly compared to the price range and you want the same features to be in this machine. Who are you kidding! My Handsome Bike! He functions on Love, Care, Money and Petrol. He is not for the average commuters, he is not for the average traveler either. He requires special kind of rider, a passionate, and an enthusiastic heart. He can’t be left alone and thrown around. He is like a family member, like a brother. He has his own demands and needs and you have to make it your own priorities. Once you take care of him, the motorcycle has lot to offer. The single cylinder, long stroke, low revving high torque engine. Just like the unassuming looks, this motorcycle doesn’t pretend when it is moving along and you can feel the thump and you can feel the engine. There are two things, riding a normal motorcycle in a public road, filled with traffic, maneuvering from left to right, just to get to the destination. And it’s another, waking up early to find peaceful road, and riding low revving motorcycle at constant cruising speed. You don’t do that to go from A to B. He is my responsibility, and this motorcycle ride my soul!!! May be when time comes I will buy a new bike In future, may be Interceptor or Jawa but I will not sell this bike!
I do 110 kmph constantly all day long. Vibrations? I can't feel them, I've become habitual to them over the last 5 years. But others definitely can feel them. The bike is like a brother you say? Naah, the bike is more like an over demanding high maintenance girlfriend who always fights with you and irritates you. Not for average traveler? That's right, the average traveler deserves better. It's about how you treat your machine? I treat my machine better than I treat people, have spent thousands and many months fixing it. I love my bike, more than any living soul on this planet, but I don't shy away from admitting that it sucks in many areas. Keep riding, Peace out. - A 5 years old RE Thunderbird 350 owner, who doesn't like the model, but loves his bike more than anything.

It can cruise comfortably 110 with little vibration because I used to it, top speed i reached 115. But it's not the machine to go in that speed. So criuse in 80/100.. its better !! Given bike for service today (36K kilometer), bill is 3K.. I'm happy to pay because I want him to keep happy as how i live. Cheers bro.. 👋👋 ride safe.. ride long.... @@arunarumugam1721 My top is 121 kmph on a flat road. Yes it's more comfortable at 80-90 kmph, but I am kind of a speed freak. One tip: RE service centers loot you, high pay and no work. It's better to find an outside expert mechanic whom you can trust. My bike hasn't been to an RE service center in about 3 years. But you gotta find a guy who's an expert and most importantly whom you can trust with your bike. Also, use Mobil semi synthetic oil, noticeable reduction in vibration. I can't even feel I'm at 110 till I look at the speedo. Initially the oil feels rough, but with some distance on it, it becomes smoother.
The new JAWA has stunning looks very appealing creates the urge of wanting it as biker, but was eagerly awaiting your video on its performance. I am convinced that JAWA is going capture the market for touring bikes and dent the Royal Enfiled sales. The careless attitude that Enfield show cased for many years towards it's consumers n classic owner regards the heavy vibration poor after sales services . If JAWA can provide good after sales services n make sure every dealer make every single Jawa n it's owners are given the deserved service n respect, then they will defeat Royal Enfield or capture huge chunk of its market. JAWA appearance is the best as of now ,in appearance they have defeated Royal Enfield, win it JAWA. PS: I own a classic 350 n planning to sell it at the earliest 👍
@flip inheck lol good Sir I am not against Enfield bikes but Enfield recently have vastly done away with heavy vibrations in the Himalayan ,they did it now when they got competition ,but when they had monopoly of market they never bothered to fix the vibration issue for many years despite knowing the solution. Let interpreter or what is it interceptor how they end with such a name lol whatever also be successful, so, I suppose you own the interceptor bike!!
@flip inheck JAWA has joined Mahindra new partners market research RND etc after all these they want to play it safely n get good foot hold in market with the 300cc, practically you have to get into market n be successful, it's the same for all new bike models entering the market Definitely in future they will come up with more powerful engine! I have gone to Goa from Bangalore n return on hero ssplendor bike which got a smooth low CC engine, so 300cc bike can definitely become a tourer bike but since both of us don't own a JAWA the new one 300cc let's not get judgemental In few months owners feedback will flood you tube n other social media then we will know the realistic pro n con of the new JAWA 300cc

N I am not their sales person lol JAWA is not paying me money for social media marketing lol I just shared my views based on this video by power drift! But, I own a classic 350 since 3 years n had gone through their lethargic n bossy attitude when they didn't have any competition in the Indian market.why for years they didn't bother to rectify the vibration issue the classic will rattle like a diesel ambassador above 80kms speed, they had the solution but did not take any action ! In last 2 years with new tourer bike models started coming,it hurt their market in India n the Himalayan in the first year at least was a super confirmed failure with a lot of technical flaws,they do RND n settle the problem. Good for Enfield now atleast they have realised never to underestimate or bully the consumers!
Awesome review Varun! I owned a Yezdi RoadKing 1996 model, manufactured by Ideal Jawa Ltd, Mysuru. Every time I took this bike out for a ride, it would turn a lot of heads. Once a gentleman driving Mercedes Benz S-Class, lowered his car window and gave me a thumbs up! He said "There's never been a bike like Jawa/Yezdi and never will be". Thanks to Mahindra for bringing the Jawa legacy back. Exciting times ahead :)

I believe that when you compare with Royal enfield, you compare with a legend. Jawa was there when Royal enfield was known as Enfield India. It was not like JAWA was sold more than RE. It was a bike which was owned by speed enthusiast. Royal Enfield has maintained the engine from past 60 years. This is not Jawa because the engine is 4 stroke which is not that of old Jawa. Royal enfiled has not changed much but changed the point ignition to electronic one. Added some safety in name of disc and ABS. The engine is also different as it has tappets rather than chain driven. So, those JAWA lovers, tomorrow if you get a Nokia with IOS...maybe it may function well but it can never be Nokia!

But this they want in 100,125, 150 cc bikes The new JAWAS are best, MAHINDRA sir, has exact know-how, what Indian customer's need. I'm 62 yrs age. This bike is only meant for those who r ready to pay ATTITUDE. Not for masses. Affordable bikes with same outer Design who for above 30 yrs age , with less power will be sold in millions. The affordable price is 60 -70,000. On road. No doubt this bike will make storm. THE KING ,IS ON THE ROAD TO RULE THE INDIAN TWO WHEELER INDUSTRY.
Jawa review Jawa black, after completing 2 weeks, nearly 1000 kms. Pros. - Everyone asking about the jawa. Is this jawa , is it fly and getting awestruck. And took a photo - smooth ride, super fast pickup, reasonable mileage - stylish black horse, chrome was astonishing - its a elite bike - smooth gears but sometimes it's get off slow in 3 or 2 gear. - powerful headlights - brakes ok, may be rear disc was too good, i got single disc only. - self starting was powerful, but no choke or kick-starts available Cons - very low ground clearance, always get stuck sounds from the main stand when you go with pillion rider in bumpy roads. - Not a off roader - very small seating, for both 6ft and 80kg guys can't sit comfortable - its a comfortable single seater bike and seats are not cushioning - its a cafe racer not a cruiser or grand tourer - shock absorbers are bumpy not smooth like RE classic - may be bike engine sound ok but really miss that old jawa or yezdi sound. May be jawa mechanics try to get it back like KTM Duke, it can roar, why not jawa? -

Old is Gold This classics are going to rock the Indian roads. We can't compare it with Royal Enfield .It has its own Royal charm. But jawa also has its own ancient era heritage.

It's dissapoiting with 120km/hr top speed....My 2011 Bajaj Avenger 220 still tops @140km/hr.... BEST IN CLASS..Waiting for bigger Avenger.....value for money...Kudos to BAJAJ.
But my street 220 isn't crossing 130 have any ideas to increase to speed other than ducking in cause I have already done it and also have k and n filter installed
Its a speedo error I ride P220F bajaj says the top speed is 133 kph I was able to reach 128 being completely flat on it, but many people say their bike can reach 140 that is because there is a 10 km play given by the manufacturer as the speed increases so does the play in the Speedo's.
i'm excited just for the fact that the legend is reborn. How wonderful it will be to see them around on the streets again! I wouldn't bother 1 bit if it can't keep pace with bikes of its category.
Don’t use that freakin rear brakes at high speed. It was not meant for that. And you can expect only so much in a single cylinder engine when it comes to vibration. These are the things that is very reminiscent for these class of motorcycles. Still, let’s not get into a conclusion too soon but one thing for sure that this has fixed a lot of problems RE didn’t do it right. And I don’t think they can never do it in their bullet line up. It’s one f***d up design which surprising everyone liked and bought it. RE’s future is based off the interceptor and GT whereas if my guess is right, Jawa will replace the bullet segment.

Jawa is history on two wheels. It looks like a collector's motorcycle and deserves the love of one. Interesting review. A review on manoeuvrability at corners would have been appreciated as it's a low height motorcycle. Jawa should've added a rear disc and more on the meters and clocks and the lack of it questions its reliability for touring!

No manh.... Bike seems to b small n doesn't look big enough frm classic 350..... That thump is missing in this..... But it will sell good but both RE n JAWA will share 50% market..... But this in no way can go completely ahead of classic 350.....
RE 350 is getting a rear disc now thanks to bajaj hounding them for it, but that's a plus point for 350 now, I totally understand Indians love retro & classic but it doesn't mean they love drum brakes too, nostalgia is one thing safety is another.

Always had loved the reviews of pd, and have been following it for over 3 years now. Every video of pd gives me a new perspective, however the best I've watched till now was the Range Rover and Sandakpu trip, which infact is near my place. Last time I had a visit to a village in Sonada where I got to see the 1st gen Range Rover and was blown away, knowing its among the few in the world present today. And yeah you guys are awesome for what you've been providing to spirit of riders... Great work👍
I got irritated with my classic 350 Whenever i braked i should come to 1 'st or 2nd gare it has NO pickup i mean zero pickup in 1st 2nd 3rd gares verry heavy feeling. If i accelerate hardly weird noise from engine that it cant drag anymore. Frndship with RE is best. But expecting best from RE (350) it sucks.. I think for my use JAWA stands with me
5:30 and the Jawa top management says the rear drum brake setup provides the best braking performance 🤭 how dumb is that. Royal Enfield started offering is offering better braking with ABS. This is a classic battle now. RE vs Jawa. Something tells me Jawa maynot fare well in the long run 🤔

It's not what I was expecting. The bike looks pretty small and sound is not even close to what the legendary Jawa sounded back in the 80's but I am going to buy thits out of emotion for ma dad. N powerdrift..you guys never fail to impress..

I have gone to Goa from Bangalore n return on hero ssplendor bike which got a smooth low CC engine, so 300cc bike can definitely become a tourer bike but since both of us don't own a JAWA the new one 300cc let's not get judgemental

I am not going to talk any more on JAWA as I don't own the new JAWA recently launched in India! N I am not their sales person lol JAWA is not paying me money for social media marketing lol I just shared my views based on this video by power drift!
But, I own a classic 350 since 3 years n had gone through their lethargic n bossy attitude when they didn't have any competition in the Indian market.why for years they didn't bother to rectify the vibration issue the classic will rattle like a diesel ambassador above 80kms speed, they had the solution but did not take any action ! In last 2 years with new tourer bike models started coming,it hurt their market in India n the Himalayan in the first year at least was a super confirmed failure with a lot of technical flaws,they do RND n settle the problem.
Good for Enfield now atleast they have realised never to underestimate or bully the consumers!
Awesome review Varun! I owned a Yezdi RoadKing 1996 model, manufactured by Ideal Jawa Ltd, Mysuru. Every time I took this bike out for a ride, it would turn a lot of heads. Once a gentleman driving Mercedes Benz S-Class, lowered his car window and gave me a thumbs up! He said "There's never been a bike like Jawa/Yezdi and never will be". Thanks to Mahindra for bringing the Jawa legacy back. Exciting times ahead :)

I believe that when you compare with Royal enfield, you compare with a legend. Jawa was there when Royal enfield was known as Enfield India. It was not like JAWA was sold more than RE. It was a bike which was owned by speed enthusiast. Royal Enfield has maintained the engine from past 60 years. This is not Jawa because the engine is 4 stroke which is not that of old Jawa. Royal enfiled has not changed much but changed the point ignition to electronic one. Added some safety in name of disc and ABS. The engine is also different as it has tappets rather than chain driven. So, those JAWA lovers, tomorrow if you get a Nokia with IOS...maybe it may function well but it can never be Nokia!

Jawa black, after completing 2 weeks, nearly 1000 kms.
Pros.
- Everyone asking about the jawa. Is this jawa , is it fly and getting awestruck. And took a photo
- smooth ride, super fast pickup, reasonable mileage
- stylish black horse, chrome was astonishing
- its a elite bike
- smooth gears but sometimes it's get off slow in 3 or 2 gear.
- powerful headlights
- brakes ok, may be rear disc was too good, i got single disc only.
- self starting was powerful, but no choke or kick-starts available
Cons
- very low ground clearance, always get stuck sounds from the main stand when you go with pillion rider in bumpy roads.
- Not a off roader
- very small seating, for both 6ft and 80kg guys can't sit comfortable
- its a comfortable single seater bike and seats are not cushioning
- its a cafe racer not a cruiser or grand tourer
- shock absorbers are bumpy not smooth like RE classic
- may be bike engine sound ok but really miss that old jawa or yezdi sound. May be jawa mechanics try to get it back like KTM Duke, it can roar, why not jawa?

Its a speedo error I ride P220F bajaj says the top speed is 133 kph I was able to reach 128 being completely flat on it, but many people say their bike can reach 140 that is because there is a 10 km play given by the manufacturer as the speed increases so does the play in the Speedo's.
I'm sure refinement will be way better than RE 😁

Chrome fuel tank looks fab it has even added to the look.
Don’t use that freakin rear brakes at high speed. It was not meant for that. And you can expect only so much in a single cylinder engine when it comes to vibration. These are the things that is very reminiscent for these class of motorcycles. Still, let’s not get into a conclusion too soon but one thing for sure that this has fixed a lot of problems RE didn’t do it right. And I don’t think they can never do it in their bullet line up. It’s one f***d up design which surprising everyone liked and bought it. RE’s future is based off the interceptor and GT whereas if my guess is right, Jawa will replace the bullet segment.
Aravind Rajasekaran Jawa has hit the bullseye in several areas. As for the sales, we will have to wait and watch!

Jawa is history on two wheels. It looks like a collector's motorcycle and deserves the love of one. Interesting review. A review on manoeuvrability at corners would have been appreciated as it's a low height motorcycle. Jawa should've added a rear disc and more on the meters and clocks and the lack of it questions its reliability for touring!

No manh.... Bike seems to b small n doesn't look big enough frm classic 350..... That thump is missing in this..... But it will sell good but both RE n JAWA will share 50% market..... But this in no way can go completely ahead of classic 350.....
Jawa never had that "thump" in the first place, neither in old times nor now.
RE 350 is getting a rear disc now thanks to bajaj hounding them for it, but that's a plus point for 350 now, I totally understand Indians love retro & classic but it doesn't mean they love drum brakes too, nostalgia is one thing safety is another.
It's good for short riders .... Bike weighs lesser than Enfield too...

Always had loved the reviews of pd, and have been following it for over 3 years now. Every video of pd gives me a new perspective, however the best I've watched till now was the Range Rover and Sandakpu trip, which infact is near my place. Last time I had a visit to a village in Sonada where I got to see the 1st gen Range Rover and was blown away, knowing its among the few in the world present today. And yeah you guys are awesome for what you've been providing to spirit of riders... Great work👍

I got irritated with my classic 350
Whenever i braked i should come to 1 'st or 2nd gare it has NO pickup i mean zero pickup in 1st 2nd 3rd gares verry heavy feeling. If i accelerate hardly weird noise from engine that it cant drag anymore. Frndship with RE is best. But expecting best from RE (350) it sucks.. I think for my use JAWA stands with me

It's not what I was expecting. The bike looks pretty small and sound is not even close to what the legendary Jawa sounded back in the 80's but I am going to buy thits out of emotion for ma dad.
