Thunder bird or jawa 42?
Love the bike. My father had one in the fifties.. As a 6 year old I was his passenger. Am 70 now. Still remember it. Thanks for sharing.
I remebers my trips on 60 years with my father when I sit on ..tank. I was 4 year , now I have 63.
Bought a Jawa 250cc, used ($200), in 1964 & was my first bike at 18yrs old....Commuted between San Diego-Torrance, CA while in Navy Radioman A school (riding a bus sucked)....All my buddies laughed at me 'cuz it sounded like a popcorn popper, BUT, they all wanted to drive it around the pea patch....Funnnn scooter!!....Back in the olden days, never wore a helmet, etc....Always rode around in t-shirt, levis, tennies, no gloves and wore shades (not good--watery eyes)....After my Navy gig, rode a couple 350cc Hondas, until my bride ordered me to stop riding motorcycles (circa 1977---2 kids in diapers--didn't want me killed)...."Yes dear" (dang, I truly loved that woman)....18 yrs later, after 20 yrs together, she divorced me (not my idea) shortly after our son died (Cystic Fibrosis)....For my 50th birthday ( at that time, to maintain my sanity and start to assuage my grief, I bought my first Harley---am on my 5th right now---have driven all over the western U.S. on Harleys)....Have recently begun to research Jawas for nastalgia and fun.....Altho I still have a Harley, it would be fun, at some point in the near future (am 74, so it's gotta be "near future"), would love to buy a restored (or original) 60s Jawa to ride around my local SW FL "pea patch"....As much as I love Harleys, I truly miss that Jawa 250cc "popcorn popper" music...arrrr
Bartosz Gałązkiewicz Hi Bartosz, those were the days! Good luck, I hope one day you’ll find your Jawa!
@@sailnekkid Well, from what I understand it is pronounced "Java" so the new one will have to be an "espresso machine?"
@@sailnekkid A compelling tale good Sir. Same here with the divorce I didn't want. Good luck with your continuing motorcycle journey through life. Kind regards.
I wish those were available here in the US. Looks like a 1950s bike. Love it.
Its from 1929
My first ride on a motorcycle was on a 175cc JAWA over 60 years ago so I have a warm spot in my heart for the brand. This one seems like a very nice bike.
That must have been a CZ, not Jawa. They may have been the same factory but Jawa only produced 250 single and 350 twins.
This was an excellent review: 1) good footage, 2) well delivered by a pleasant and knowledgeable presenter. Thank you.
A lot of talk was made about this bike not being on par when you cross 100 on a speedometer. But as this review rightly puts it, the bike functions perfectly and satisfactorily well at all speeds. Having said that, it's also true that some bikes are made for a laid-back feel. The beauty of this bike is it's capable of doing both - rapidness and laidbackness!
This is what a bike review should be like. Good english, and choice of words. Great motorcycling terms. One is properly informed after this review. 200,000 Indian Rupees is US$ 2,817. Thanks and Regards. Trinidad & Tobago.
Amazing video, professional test, good English, wonderful bike: well done!
Unfortunately Classic models are not yet sold in Europe... :(
their delivery time in the local country is 6 months , imagine taking orders in EU, they will take ages to deliver there.
No nonsense review. I love it.
He did send it off a jump. Not sure most new owners will be going to do that!
@@philclarke7712 some of them willl definitely do. After all it's fun.
I love the look and when I ride a new type of Classic, I don't look or expect performance. Your review was very truthful and well in understanding of a true rider. Thankyou.
Ur so mature in ur reviews! Keep it up.
I don't know...he jumped it!
Sir you read my mind
Over the spoke Tubeless tyres
BS 6
Adjustable levers
All led headlights, taillights , indicators
Better instrumentation cluster would be excellent ♥️🔥
Thank you for no nonsense review 😇
Jawa has led taillights and indicators 😅
@@vishnuswaroopgopalakrishna9588 no bro only tail lights are LEDs 😊
I clicked on this video yesterday by accident. It turned out to be one of the best reviews I have ever seen. This Jawa classic isn't even sold here in Germany. I subscribed because you are just that informative.. Thanks.
I am super thrilled to have ridden this bike. It is an absolute pleasure to ride it. As I sit on the bike the POV takes me back in time and I get a hit of nostalgia. Turning on the engine delights me with a hearty sound and the acceleration that zips me ahead. I just can't find enough words to describe the feeling. You have to ride it to feel it.
I have a restored 1973 250 Californian--a beautiful bike that starts by the second kick every time. Parts are readily available on the internet. The new 300 looks amazing, I will buy one when they become available in the US.
Ok 👍🏼
Thank you all! But do let us know what else we can add to help you understand the bike better.
Distance covered by the headlight will be very helpful
Because touring bikes are mostly ridden in the highways
Amazing AV. Takes me back 30 years behind my dad on his Yezdi Classic (1983 model).
This bike is just a gorgeous old school piece of art, I like it very much, cheers from Hungary! 👍 😎
Who love jawa ...it dose not matter ...to him ...any negative...point...and ...who ride jawa ...they love jawa bro ...i have 1978 model yezdi ...bro
You should...consider...wearing...helmet...while riding...your Jawa...since...it obviously....helps to...avoid...brain...damage...bro
Had owned Jawa California. 350 cc with Velorix sidecar and rode it 7000 miles through Snow etc .. This one is nice hopefully in few yrs it will b 500 cc and update for foreign markets .
very good Narration
1 Woud like to buy a Jawa
The only review to focus on the rider triangle for people of different heights. It's probably the most important aspect but no one talks about it. Thanks 🙏
Very nice bike and review but I prefer my Jawa from 1966 250cc mono cylinder 2 stroke
excellent video, glad to see Jawa in and around..... my father used to ride old Jawa 250, cool memories, thank you!
I have had the pleasure of a quick ride on one of my friends Jawa and it looks good in the flesh and is easy to ride. I am impressed. My friend rode his from Slovakia to the Isle of Man going through Germany, Belgium ,France and Uk and he had no problem doing it over a few days covering about 400 km each day.
I owned it in the 90s but sold it in 2008 due to lack of spares. Still have fond memories especially exhaust sound..
perfect explanations with fine detailing sir!
Beautiful bike Beautiful video.. so refreshing.. i have seen this video before.. still sooo good .
Convinced me to get one.. Booking Jawa next month.
Absolutely awesome review! Made me to subscribe!
me too!
and he made me to buy a Jawa classic! :)
Exhalant review 👌👌👌❤💐
Great ground clearance and the design is simply stunning! A true classic
I love the classic JAWA and I really like this new iteration! If they come to Europe and at a reasonable price I think they will do well as Royal Enfield does not offer the 350 here and a lot of people, especially in Eastern Europe recognise the looks and the brand. Please JAWA consider this..
I remember these from the 50's right hand gear change from memory , made in the old Czechoslovakia.
Positives supersedes negatives by miles. Engine is better, riding dynamics are better so what do u want more. seat can easily be replaced no other negative to be considered as negative
Excellent video - cinematography is awesome, narration is on point and insightful. Well done, just got a new subscriber !
Sir your reviews(presentation)are really good fantastic 👌please donot change the way you present (I mean in the future). But need to say this channel is so underrated.
Superb review of JAWA motorcycle. Very technical and balanced.
Lovely, great looker, adequate performance for the category, perhaps needs a few refinements but welcome back Jawa !
Cinematography is superb 👍👍
Thank you, sir. Do subscribe to our channel.
Sure .good work 👍👍
@@chkartik4533 Cheers!
Beautiful bike Beautiful video.. so refreshing.. i have seen this video before.. still sooo good 👍🏼.
Convinced me to get one.. Booking Jawa next month. ❤
It looks very good, like the bikes from the 70's. I now the old original models. In India nobody knows the originals.
There has been a cult of Jawa in India since the 60s.
Very good review .first time on you tube. Flowing expression and honest tech information.
Regarding the last part: if we are to compare it with RE, I feel it still has good torque and that is the USP for this bike! And also the vibration less ride is always comfortable!!
I also felt it gets mighty heated up even just after half an hour's ride and also with pillion and centre stand fixed... The bike certainly brushes on to the speed bumps.. or while taking sharp turns... very low ground clearance
Very nice review 👌am planning to book one soon.
First time seeing ur video starting seen... itself subscribed.... !!!
Great review Vikrant! Are you doing one for the Interceptor or have I missed it earlier?
Aditya Dhavale We have one on the channel. The first for the channel in fact.
Best Review so far.......by far
Very well presented and comprehensive review. Definitely one of the better RUclips bike Regis channels.
Iam very happy because. JAWA ABI ZINDA HAI.
Excellent review Vikrant ... should add that the Jawa 300CL, with its lower gear ratio and lighter weight, is much more nimble and easier to handle in heavier traffic driving situations. Thanks again.
For me if the price is right its perfect as it is, simple and it looks just right. If its true about the seat, than its the only drawback but at the same time its the price you pay for a low seat but can also be sorted with better foam. I really wish they sell them in europe, there’s really a need in good competition for these kind of bikes.
Excellent review. Upto the point. Will wait for BS6 version
Having experienced the purchase of an Indian pattern petrol tank I would never consider buying one of their motorbikes. An original restored Jawa would make more sense to me. They were fine bikes apparently.
Simply love your review
Clean & crisp
Good review, I love retro style bikes. I own a RE 500 classic.
Thanks! Hope you are enjoying the Classic 500
Best reviewer ever.
This is an interesting bike. I like the look very much, even though I am too big for a bike of this size. I really enjoyed this review, however. Nice camera work, very informative, and extremely well presented. Great job!
Glad you like it! Don't forget to subscribe to our channel.
Sincere review 😊😊. Jawa should modify the seat , visibly pathetic it is, for the money you pay the seat should be more thicker & cushioned with better quality material.
Halogen bulbs are any day better than LEDs. Also it doesnt disturb the vision of on coming traffic as much as the LEDs
I'm a proud owner of a Jawa Classic.
Me ye bike compulsory khridugi.
EMI pe😔.
Ak do bar try kiya, civil score or hum log gavh se h, ye bol k mujko or mere papa showroom se (shayedh English me beizaat kar k nikal diye, thank-you bol k) thank-you bol diye.

Beautiful presentation.... Clean n clear talk. No nonsense talking. Keep it like this only.... Will see ur next few videos n will think about subscribe..
i like the jawa charm this was the best look
Linda parabéns ,é um sonho de moto . que Deus continue abençoando vocês 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
Royal Enfield is good looking bike, but the Jawa looks even better which is rich on the details.
Great review and Looks like the original, recall they made great scramblers. . When are they coming to North America?
Best reviewer at present.
I am enjoying your reviews.
Good photography videography.... good scenery and composition also. Thanks for the very good video
Great presentation..detailed review.moreover great sound...
Had a original 350 and loved it !
If u have shown both of u setting on bike would give idea of how comfertable or not the bike with pillion
Nice review. Love the look. And no one else has a Jawa that I know of. I think I'd customise the seat with extra padding giving it the height proportion of the old 2-stroke 350 Oilmaster twin. It's a real beauty.
The bike looks good but the most wonderful specification of jawa was the exhaust sound but sadly the old exhaust note of jawa is missing in the new one.
Very well made video, reviewer knows what's he talking about.
Very honest review till date, Thanks.
Glad it was helpful! Don't forget to subscribe to our channel.

Very sensibly recited all descriptions and information.
a round of applause for the cameraman aso.
They've _nailed_ the vintage look! I really look forward to seeing this brand develop over the upcoming years. Will they smooth over the rough edges, to make a more comfortable and convenient bike? Will they sell enough locally so it makes sense to expand oversees, like R.E. has? (In North America we would need at least a bit more power, a comfortable seat, and the frame geometry for us taller, big-@∫∫ed folk!)
Really amazing video quality...really unique way of capturing shots.. so awesome
Thanks a ton
Great points, great review! Well done!
Proud owner of Jawa classic ABS 😀

@@vishalpareek2968 go for it bro.. it has a feel good factor in it
What is the exact onroad price bro
Que pena que não vem pro Brasil. Meu pai era apaixonado por essas motos 😓😭♥️♥️
It's pronounced like Yawa, JA-neček and WA-nderer.
In India they say W for V and V for W. e.g JAVA like the country [JAH-VAA], not JAWA [JOW-WAA]
@@jibjab351 It's a Czech word.
Shut up Sirbian shit. it is JAWA.. and it is not Czech word. There is JAWA islands in Pasific ocean..
To bad they don't export to America. Nice classic look.
Great review but the lack of grey LCD instruments is to be taken seriously, or not. Fact is in 1978 LCD watches were very cutting edge. When I see a motorcycle dash in 2019-sorry 2020 with a grey LCD instrument console I cannot help thinking it's very naff ((not modern at all) cars have moved on from grey LCD but personally riding a motorcycle is very different from driving a car.
We think the next generation should get a better cluster there.
Nicely Described Sir...THX
Opportunity lost to begin with a 500 to seriously compete with RE. Traditionally, Jawa was a 2-stroke with the biggest being 350cc twin, for memory, with similar power to the British 500 singles of the 50s.
May I know where the video was shot? So calm and serene.
Well-cushioned seats reduce rider fatigue.
Led bulbs are simple, right? Seats are a bit more costly, however I'm sure craftspeople in Indian can re-cushion under the seat...
Clean and classic review
Prateek looks like 7feet giant if you're 5'9" 😁
bravo 👍 ciao from Serbia
Love Jawa motorcycles
Great review but no way would I swap my 500 Bullet for one of these Jawa's.
Make a 650cc model and I'll buy one!
Why such a small motor??
@@Transphoenixbiker like many motorcycles of this type 650cc was the size of that age.
Triumphs, BSAs, Kawasakis W650 were all 650s at tbe start.
A (relatively) low power motorcycle is fun to ride and easy to maintain.
650cc ain't that small!
Hi what’s your suggestion when it comes to colour option ! Maroon or Black ! ?
Kribha Damo White. :-) that’s the one I like.
Hi Vikrant ! I’ve bought Marron and waiting to receive may be in next week I’ll have that machine in my hands. Can you also please suggest me a good and sturdy helmet brand and model for regular riding...
Kribha Damo HJC has some really nice ones. Model, I feel, you should decide based on what design you prefer. But, between open face and full face, I’d say full face.
There is something not covincing style wise; the top of the headlight, the front fender, the saddle (maybe something mor XS650 would have done better), the black radiator (chrome again probably better). My opinion though.
