Come to think of it I don't get to hear Astarion's natural voice a lot in the game. He either speaks in high pitch when being snarky, or in a seductive way that's so phoney that it almost sounds like a performance. Later on in game when he starts becoming more genuine and less like a clown, he speaks in a calmer and more stable way but he still keeps it light so you don't get to hear his full vocal range. Now his chest voice gets tremendously amplified with this AI cover and I have just realized he has such a clear, mellifluous low voice that would make him a great singer. Would very much love to hear him covering the whole bg3 ost album. Lol

Nuh-uh, stuff like this is amazing, there is nothing not to support here. It opens so many cool possibilities, especially for the game community. But obviously, supporting Neil himself is also important.
@@Megawaps Neil hates this stuff. He has said he does not give any consent for his voice to be used without his permission. It is all kinds of wrong to steal someone's voice. Yes, this may seem harmless, but it's not. AI threatens the livelihood of voice actors. Not to mention some people use the AI voices to say very not okay things that are disgusting and alarming, which I believe happened to Amelia (the narrator). We should respect Neil's wishes by never supporting AI voice.

To add to that AI is also burning a huge amount of our planets resources. If you don't care about what I say based on facts, please do ask Neil what he likes about this usage of his voice.
Voice actors generally don't support ai, it's a risk to their livelihoods. It's nice to listen to and all but I doubt he'd be happy about this, especially since it's... Scarily accurate. (He actually addressed AI use of his voice recently and even said he's likely to sue. Don't do it, folks.)
