In 2016 we got only 2 medals, 2020 we got 7, this time we r targeting 10+. Last year asian games we got 100+ medals. India is not a sports country right now. Though we have a huge population, many people still don't choose sports as their main career. But the trend is changing. And I'm not comparing India with any other countries. We have a long way to go. The good thing is we r not going backwards. And best wishes to Pakistani athletes as well. 🙏

There is an Olympic Federation and 34 sub federations under it drawing huge funds from the government. The question is: how do they rank their athletes? Is it benchmarked against any world records? Like here in Canada, the rule should be that athlete's score MUST be with in the score of 5 top athletes in that particular sport. Else it is not only wasting money but also attracting embarrassment at the international level.
Unfortunately Cricket is being destroyed by same set of people who destroyed other sports . Pakistan will be playing qualification round for world cup. That speaks deterioration of a sport which Pakistanis love fanatically.
You don't look out on a broader level. You can understand the situation by seeing how talent is ruined locally. The main reasons for this disaster are the lack of priority policy and the lack of motivation behind the involvement of bureaucracy in every system. At every Olympics, we see this spectacle, but the government does not pay attention.
