As a retired kindergarten teacher I really liked the thought of using your birch tree frame in the classroom. Adding a ghost, witch and pumpkin shapes along with fairy lights to the frame would make a fun classroom “picture” for October. The children would enjoy coming up with other ideas for Christmas, Spring and other occasions.
I would definitely keep the Driftwood frame. While I love the one you chose and think it would be perfect in the kitchen with a special recipe I believe the Driftwood is so unique I would have it in my bedroom to remind me each morning of the true beauty of nature.
I can't believe I'm giving you a tip, but here it is...when doing a hot glue design, do it on a silicone mat. It will pop right off. Thanks for all you share. You are a treasure.
When I saw the crusty vent I knew which one was a keeper!!!! You had so many great ideas. I'm gonna have to watch again, share and find some frames 🍁🍁🍁
Thanks for posting Sherry you have given me several ideas to use old frames I have. Will be looking forward to every Tuesday morning now. Coffee and Sherry sounds like a plan.✌️🖖
I KNEW IT!!!
Lol...the vent was the oddest, and well I just knew...lol
Love these frames. Both my daughters have been decorating their homes in the boho style, and I think I'll make each of them the twine sunburst frame and give for Christmas. My girls prefer handmade gifts from me, that's awesome, but I sometimes find myself pushing the clock to get things done on time...lol
I still work full time for my Counties Health Department and let me tell ya, time is an essence. It's a good thing I enjoy making things soooo much...lol
I'm currently working on a mirror for my youngest daughter for her birthday this month (September 21st) she wanted something specific to go with her boho vibe. Luckily I found a beautiful round frame (had to be round..lol)at Hobby Lobby 90% off. It's coming along nicely so far. I love these videos you do on Tuesdays, and usually can watch before I have to head into work. Anyways Tfs....great video and frame diy's. I also, love the oval pumpkin frame, and might try that as well. Looks quick enough...lol
Well you take care now and see you next Tuesday. 👍👍👍👍👍😊💕
I would have kept the driftwood frame that morphed into it...I love that!!!!!
I absolutely LOVED the frame that you cut the corner off and glued the piece of drift wood to it and added the metal tape, then painted, distressed, added cinnamon?? who knew?? what an awesome piece of art!! that's the one I'd keep for sure!!!
My favorite was the very first one-The twigs but the little blackbird was what I love most!
But of course they all were as creative and beautiful as is everything you do!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE METAL RADIATOR COVER. FRAMING IT MADE IT ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.....
The way you did the sift wood on the frame was my favorite because no one has never ever come close to doing anything like that before. I need to keep my eyes and creative mind open when crafting.
My very first notable craft project I did was for my husband’s grandmother for her birthday after we got married. I bought a picture frame, (8X10), cross stitch hoop and tread, 1/4 yard burlap, acrylic paint brown and cream, paint brushes, glue, (I don’t think hot glue guns had been invented yet.), buttons different colors.
I cut the burlap to fit the somewhat bigger than the 8 X 10 frame. I found the middle of the burlap and began to sew on buttons in the same color with the center button being a brown color. The buttons in group colors were yellow, pink, orange, green leaves and stalks.
I painted the frame brown and went back over it with a dry brush of off white. Back then dry brushing/distressing was not heard of. That was 30 years ago.
Mammaw loved her gift. She wanted to know where I got it at. My husband told her that I may it, before I could. My husband even thought it was a very nice piece of work. When Mammaw and PawPaw passed my Mother-in-law gave me that piece of work back and she told me.
“Momma really treasured what you made her. No one had ever went out of their way to take their time and effort make her something so beautiful.” I was so emotional that day and now. I had married into to BEST family that anyone could have ever married in to. My mother-in-law and husband have been gone for 3 years and my father-in-law just passed this April. All died from Cardiac Issues. My husband was only 52. We had been married 26 years.
I am so glad I found your channel a few months ago. I love your crafting. It is unique and different every time.
I love picture frames. I purchased several about 6 months ago from the Salvation Army. I can’t wait to star decorating and doing whatever with them.
Loved them all but, have to agree the grate one was my favorite too. Your creative mine still amazes me.👍⭐️⭐️❤️
Where, oh where, does this endless creativity come from. Perhaps in a future video you could tell us more about your background and how you discovered this talent! Take care, Sherry! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Michelle! I discussed with my husband the idea of making a video where I answer questions that come up a lot, but he thought that would be boring! Maybe, I’ll do it, anyway!😜
@@CanterburyCottage ha!!! What do men know about these things????
@@CanterburyCottage Q & A Videos are actually, what a lot of RUclipsrs are doing....and when you see the number of views...yup! Totally worth doing if you are getting a lot of questions...not boring at all!
@@CanterburyCottage A Q&A would never ever be boring to crafters. I would do it.
@@CanterburyCottage It won't be boring!!! I'd love it :)
I knew it! As soon as I saw it I kept that one in mind. Although, any of them would be keepers.
Every Tuesday is like a present when you post.
You truly are an inspiration and a trend setter. Thank you for opening the mind to the possibilities.
You Are The BEST! I can't wait until everybody finds you.
I looked forward to your videos every Tuesday. I'm obsessed with your creativity. It's so refreshing to see someone bring something new & different to RUclips.❤
I really really appreciate that, Jay-Jay! 🥰 Every week, I try to show different ideas that will inspire viewers to try new things.
A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ tutorial, as usual. My favorite is your favorite.
Sherry, I had to laugh to myself towards the end of your video when you thanked people for ‘still’ being there. I thought to myself still being here? I didn’t want the video to come to an end because you have so many great ideas. I too love the rusty vent but I also like the one with the plate because sometimes you want to get rid of dishes but you want to have the memory so it’s nice to keep one small plate and do that on the frame as you did. I loved all of them. Thank you once again for your creativity and inspiration.
You are so so sweet, Jackie! 🥰 This week’s video was, I think, my longest one, so I was worried that viewers would get bored. I’m so glad you enjoyed it-all the way through!😜 I love what you said about saving a saucer to remind us of a memory. So many memories of my mother and grandmother involve cooking and being in the kitchen.
Does anyone else wake up thinking oh its Tuesday! Sherry has a new video!! I love architectural sslvafe
What fabulous projects!
I am so freaking impressed by these ideas! I like crafty DIYs but don’t usually find budget ones that are actually attractive. Mind blown.
Oh my goodness why wouldn't we stay with you until the end of your videos!? Your creativity is the jump start I need to continue on with your ideas. Your videos make me realize not "I don't think I can" to "what if I do this?"
AMAZING AND THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
You have me fascinated from start to finish. The two tree pieces (the twigs and cobweb one and the birch trees) are so inventive. I love the one with a piece of tree inserted into the frame and metal tape on top. And the vent, yes! I have a couple of pieces of carved wood strip that I can use to go across frames; I looked at them yesterday and didn’t have any ideas for them. Beautiful ideas well explained.
Someone gives Sherry a suggestion and she really runs with it! What a test of imagination. I liked Project #1 the best.
Thank you, Tucker! 🥰 I really liked the branch art, but I just don’t know where to put it (or I would keep it, too)!
I love the oval frames. The pin cushion is my favourite.
The tree as part of the frame is incredible! Cinnamon for aging is genius!
Watching you create is my “treat” to start the day. Thanks for being so generous with your time and talent
You are so welcome, Barba!😊
I especially loved the vent cover and the ones with the mini crates as picture/trinket boxes. ♥️♥️♥️
I’m glad you liked these projects, Denise! 🥰 I thought attaching the DT crate to a frame was a different way to make use of that cute little box.
My favorite was the sunflower frame, but I liked all of them. I love your Tuesday Videos.
I am so amazed to see So many wonderful ideas using old frames! I have been agonizing over having to donate my many frames that have accumulated over the many years and seeing these ideas to recycle gives me hope and inspiration! So any of these creations would make wonderful custom holiday gifts…thank you for sharing!
What a great idea-upcycling your old frames into gifts! I actually kept the driftwood frame to give to my brother for Christmas. (I hope he doesn’t read my comments.😜)
Ah! Just the inspiration I needed! I have SO many frames of various sizes in my stash. Thank you for sharing your GENIUS ideas with us! 👍🏼💛🤗
I look forward to every Tuesday morning so much-get my coffee and bring up your latest. Then, I just dread it as you get closer and closer to the end!! I would have never thought of even one of those ideas, Sheri! Have several ‘sentimental’ saucers, so I guess that will be my favorite., although I like your ‘keeper’ a lot, I would never find a suitable vent cover! But, I‘ll be looking, of course. Thanks
You are so very sweet, Sarah! ❤️ I have found vent covers a few times at the Habitat Restore. I was able to remove the screws from the ones I purchased before, but this time they would not budge.
Haha I do the exact same thing every Tuesday am. Lol
WD-40 WORKS!!! Let it soak!!!
@@melodybecker2309 or a bit of paint stripper if old paint is the problem
@@melodybecker2309 Thanks so much for the tip!
Wonderful, wonderful Cherry! I’m pregnant with our first child and since I’m over 40 years old it has not been easy. I haven’t slept properly for months. 😅
But when I found your account I got mesmerised! Your creativity, calm but focused energy and fantastic projects made me forget about my joint pain, morning sickness and stress (we are moving and renovating a house at the same time). You have been a fantastic companion during my lonely nights and I look forward to every video you post.
You are fantastic! And from the things you create I can tell there are years of practice, stocking of props and play of imagination. I’m so glad you decided to follow your dream! ❤️
How wonderful that you are expecting your first child! It was not an easy experience for me at 30 years old, so I can understand why you are having a hard time. I am so glad that I can help you in some small way. Thank you so much for watching and leaving me such a lovely comment! Sending prayers your way for an easy delivery and a healthy baby!
You made my day, my week, my month, and my year….with this one video. ❤️❤️❤️ I wish I had your mind. Thank you!
I loved all of your projects, but I really loved the pincushion! So simple, but it’s adorable!
I have that exact frame you made into a pumpkin, with the word autumn. I swear, you have the same taste as my mom. She would have loved your channel. She was really creative, like you. I believe that that frame came in a set of two, from home interior, maybe. I really love the bird pictures that came in those frames.
I love them all! I would have kept that adorable pincushion.
Girl- that broken branch frame was super creative and my favorite!
I am so glad you liked it, Jennifer! 🥰
I would have kept the pin cushion and the sunflower wreath. I guess that means I need to make these two projects. Thanks for a great collection of frame projects! 🌻🧡🌻
Thanks so much, Connie! Hope your projects turn out gorgeous! I think I’m keeping the pincushion, too-cuter than my current tomato cushion. 😜
@@CanterburyCottage Thank you for the inspiration. A tomato pin cushion is cuter than my magnet... but that little frame pin cushion is so classy sassy & my style chic. I have a very similar fabric just gotta find the frame 🙂 I'm sure I have something. I always look forward to your Tuesday morning show! Have a great rest of the week!
Thank you, for doing my suggestion. 😊❤️ I can’t wait to start the video. I see others who needed some ideas, too. I have frames coming out of my ears. I love the first one, with the branches.
Molly, thank you so much for the suggestion! I was happy to reduce my stash of frames a little in making this video!❤️
All great ideas, I especially like the cross bar frame and the old grate. Love your channel ❤️
Crusty vent cover would be a keeper fir me as well. Tuesday is my favorite day. ❤️
I hadn’t seen your channel before but I was blown away by your creativity! How many projects can you make from picture frames? I was completely blown away by the metal tape and cinnamon! Who’d have thought?!
Thank you so much, Jacqui! I’m so glad you decided to watch my channel. You also might like this video where I made several things using the parts from a broken chair: ruclips.net/video/TNbtj5wa4XI/видео.html
Tuesday got me feeling like Charlie in Willie Wonka waiting for the candy store to open. 🤦♀️I'm totally stealing several of these today, just sayin'. Thank you so much for sharing your awesomeness! 👍👌👏
....me too!...😉👍👍👍
Kimberly, you are always so so so sweet! Thank you so much for leaving me such kind comments! I am so happy to share some ideas with you. I think crafters are the nicest (and happiest) people!
Thank you I now have some really cute ideas for my stash. I have used one large frame and used commander strips to adhere it to the wall. Using very small nails and more commander strips I inserted crucifixes and crosses that belong to my parents and grandparents it also has my Rosary beads and my mother‘s Rosary beads. It’s in my bedroom and I see it everyday. It’s a lovely reminder of the people I still love and miss dearly.
My favorite has to be the birch trees on glass and plexiglass. Birch are my favorite trees. I enjoyed watching all of your unique ideas.
I loved them all but I'm leaning toward the hook with the small frames. These are some great ideas 💡.
Sherry, I correctly guessed you would keep the heating grate piece with the rusty-crusty patina. I enjoyed your creativity and imagination in each of these projects and I didn't want the video to end‼️So much so, that I watched it twice.😉🤪🤣💜
The trouble with these is they're all so cool and clever it's hard to pick just one!! What a truly creative, clever mind you have Sherry!!!!
Thank you, Margaret! I am so pleased that you liked today’s projects! 🥰
My favorite was the one you inserted the piece of wood to. They are all very inventive. You've given me an idea on how to use a piece of a rusty crusty can I've been saving. Have a blessed week.
I love when I get an idea for how to use something I have been saving for awhile! (I took that small black bird off of a birdhouse several years ago, and while I was making the branch art, I thought, “I can use that black bird!”) Hope you have a blessed week, too!
Sherry, you never cease to amaze me!!! You are so creative!!! These picture frame projects turned out great!!! I think my favorite one is #9, the barnwood shelf. I just love the way you styled it!!! I keep hoping that if I watch enough of your videos, some of your creativity will float through cyberspace into me!!! :) Jeanne/PA
I would have kept the same. I think it was gorgeous. Great job Sherry as usual. Have a wonderful week. Can’t wait to see what you have planned for next week.
Thank you, Renita! I’m so glad you enjoyed today’s video. Hope you have a wonderful week, too. I have a surprise for next week!😉
I would have chosen the frame where you cut off the corner and placed the driftwood and metal ribbon. Loved the look of that one. Of course all were very neat.
All very creative and unique. My favourite is the hook with the hanging pictures. I have 3 tiny botanical pics I found at a charity shop, keep meaning to put them on a piece of wood, so might pinch that one.
God have giving you the most gifted ideas ever! So glad you share them with us! Thanks, I loved them all!!
Sherry-there were so many unique craft ideas here. all I can say is “WOW” !!! thank you so much for sharing!🪟
Hello Sherri. I love, love your channel. I bought a elgin clock and took all components out. I thought I saw you do a diy with one, but, I can't seem to find the video.. can u help me?
Hi Sherry. I've been watching you for months now quietly but I just had to chime in to thank you and also the viewer who requested this video. I've also acquired a bunch of frames recently and I also recently started selling at a local booth so these unique ideas come at a perfect time for me. I do enjoy all your videos. Hugs and blessings ❤
Thank you, Maria! I’m so glad you got some ideas for using your frames!😊
I love olds frames ! Yours projects inspire me! Wonderful! Thanks 😍
I thought you would have kept the bird and tree project but I would have had trouble deciding as they all were pretty terrific!
Hi mam good to see u again, your every piece of work is great but i like1,6, 10& 15 project most. Love u mam.
Thank you thank you so much for creating all these projects!! I’ve been cleaning out my mothers garage and she has a bunch of old picture frames and a lot I didn’t want to get rid of now you just inspired me to make some art with them. Little tip on making designs with hot glue, put it on parchment paper it comes right off when cooled. Thanks again I would love to see more of your ideas ❤️❤️❤️
I can’t believe how original and cute your ideas for using frames are! I laughed when I saw this title and thought it would be ideas I would never use. But I loved every one of them and am now planning a wall in my entryway using my many thrifted frames!
I love ALL of these projects. I absolutely love the vent cover, too.
What is it about chippy, rusty paint that is so appealing?!❤️
I knew you’d keep the vent cover. These are all so great. Just love all the ideas you are sharing. Thanks so much for doing this.
The vent cover is so amazing! And the bed frame one! I adore rusty old metal! But seriously all of these projects are beautiful! And so different from what everyone else does! Creativity on a whole new level!
I loved them all! But my favorite is the small frames on cabinet door. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us!
Loved all of your ideas! My favorite is the oval wreath.
How imaginative this episode is. I loved every project. My favorite was the very first black frame with twigs , wire, birds! I knew that vent cover had your name on it. Have a great week Shari! Blessings to you!
I love all of them! You've gave me some great ideas! Thank you for sharing!
The basket on the frame is adorable too.
The radiator in the frame, I love. I think thats the one you're keeping
I just love the creative way your mind works. Thank you so much for so many great springboard ideas! 🧡
I am so glad I can give you some ideas to try, Colleen! Crafting is so much fun!
These frames are very cool! I will recreate a lot of them, especially the pin cushion and the plate. You are awesome and so inspiring! Your creativity is a true talent 💕
You are so very kind, Terry! I’m so glad you liked today’s projects! Thanks so much for watching and leaving me such a sweet comment!🥰
I am from North Africa and I look forward to every Tuesday to watch your wonderful art. Thank you so much. We love you.
I I recently made three 12x12 blackboards for for my three young grandsons using picture frames and I also had some shadow picture frames putting nice paper at the back and screwed six little hooks for putting your keys on. Didn’t take long to do all of them.l love your ideas and look forward to forward to making some of your ideas! I am in bed with a a horrible cold, the weather is wet and cold but that’s England for you! And on my iPad going through your videos of crafting, that puts a smile on my face! 🤒😷🤧🥴😵💫😮💨
Loved this video. Can't wait to try some of these! Suggestion for the future: Like you did this one with picture frames, perhaps ways to repurpose vintage dishes (plates, teacups, etc.)
Beautiful projects, dear Sherry (this time, I hope, I wrote your name correctly). I enjoyed, watching your video while I equally enjoyed my Greek mocca.
So, my favorites are the birch trees and the last needle pillow but also the first frames with the wood (trees) and the tiny bird. Well, actually, I like them ALL. Thought, you kept those - and yes, that rusty frame had something as well. You kbow what? I would probably keep them all :D
Thank you for sharing. I wish you another inspiring and positive week. Watching your videos makes me just smile. I love your esprit and creativity.
Sherry! I love the sunflower wreath. Adorable. 🌻
I love these old frame ideas, but would have a hard time giving up any of them, this was a real hit!!!
I am in love with your creations!! ❤️ You have such original ideas and get lots of inspiration from your videos. I mostly make things for the house or gifts for friends and family but hopefully one day can stop getting so attached to my creations and sell them. 🤣 Big hugs to you lady and thank you for what you share with all of us!! 🥰🥰
I am so happy that I can share some ideas with you, Tara! You’ll have to start making two of everything-one to sell and one to keep!🥰
@@CanterburyCottage Good idea! Thank you I’ll try that 🥰
My wife and I love your videos. You’re our favorite DIY artist!!!
My favorite was the standing frame with the hanging plant♥️ I also loved the one with in little dollar tree crate.
Thank you for sharing absolutely fantastic video today I'm sure it'll help us all to use the frames lying around in different ways years after years. Very creative ideas. God bless n have a great n safe day
Those are some awesome ideas! I figured the vent cover was the one you would keep. Good choice!
Love the pin cushion and the frame with the wood attached to it thanks for sharing
Umm... I would have kept them all. I really loved the reuse of the vent piece! I have a little frame and do a bit of sewing as well so I have to make the pin cushion. I will wrap some dried rosemary in the middle of the cushion to sharpen my pins plus it smells amazing. Have the best week!
I can’t believe how your creative mind sees possibilities in odd objects. I pride myself on DIY creations, but you are truly amazing. So much fun to see what you have up your sleeve each week!
Thank you so much, Susan! That is high praise coming from another DIYer!🥰
Another amazing amazing DYI projects🤗❤️🤗👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Chicks rocking power tools! I love it! You're an amazing inspiration to all of us!
The pin cushion . Loved it..small AND cute.
Seeing with your eyes is a gift and skill! Blessed and safe days!
The picture frame with the plaid fabric is my favorite. I've been looking for a way to memorialize my husband. He liked plaid.
So sorry for your loss, Laurie! I like the idea of plaid fabric and a pocket of some sort to hold some mementos.
I liked the hook with the small frames the best, I think, but they're all just so original and charming! Thank you!
Hi Sherry Rosie from Wisconsin I love watch ing every Tuesday when my daughter gets on the bus I'm watching Canterbury Cottage I couldn't choose any of them they are all great I love them all.
Love them all but REALLY LOVE that driftwood frame!!!! You are super creative and talented. Thank you for sharing!
Since I like boxes and containers, I chose the wood box that you attached to the frame and painted green. All your ideas were good. Can you take us on a tour of your shop sometime?
I have shown my booth once--in a video called "Styling Secrets for a Successful Booth." Maybe, after I decorate for Christmas, I will show it again. Thanks for the suggestion!
I can't decide but WOW I have a habit of buying 2nd hand frames.... Thankyou for sharing all the wonderful things you did... getting my frames out tonight ✨✨✨✨✨
I guessed right! I knew you’d keep the grate 😊
My favorite was the sunflower!
You’ve got my taste figured out! Thanks for commenting, sweet friend!
OH! I thought for sure it was the frame with the driftwood! LOVE IT! ALL clever ideas!
I always love all the crafts, but I think the vent cover wins on this one!
The pin cushion was awesome. But I loved the vent cover too
Good morning Sherrie! I hit the like button so fast. Just brewrd my coffee and now I am going to watch you. I'm time when it's done I look forward to telling you my favorites! I'll be back! I am here and I would have chosen the rusty grate. I love rust and love old architectural salvage. It turned out Gorgeous!
Each time she showed a finished project my 6 year old boy goes, "Whoa, that's pretty!"
