It amazes me how people jump on the bandwagon when someone does a video on a guitar or laptop computer or cell phone or BBQ grill. Everyone starts downing the bullet squires and some say yeah I took all the junk out and put new pick ups and pots, switches. Why buy a squire and spend 400 hundred or more dollars on it and start bragging. It is what it is and for someone learning or someone wants to get a guitar that they can afford just to go back to their youth day's and pretend again like a lot of us done when we got our first guitar and some like me still have one of my guitars from the 60's and it still a good guitar slim hollow body electric with vibrato and all original nothing changed but strings it's a 1966 Guild my daddy bought it for himself because he played live on the radio in the 50's but he wanted to see if I would pick it up and I did joined a band in 68 and played until 1972 made one record which done OK in Europe but not at all here at home as usual the Americans wanted British and the British wanted American. But I hadn't really played in all most 50 years. So buy the guitar you want and let everyone enjoy whatever guitar they want and can afford.

And the satin finish the guitar literally feels good in your hand.

That’s a PRIMO candidate for modding. Go to say though, that’s one of the more janky looking control cavities I’ve seen in a good while on a fresh out of the factory guitar. Some of those solder joints looked a bit sketchy. But nothing a little tinkering can’t address. Modding can be a LOT of fun. And if it weren’t for Squires being an affordable test-bed option to learn and work on, I likely would never have had the nerve to give it a try. Now… I’m more than a little bit hooked.
To be completely honest, I hadn’t noticed that Squire had a HB ‘Esquire’ out. I’m thinking I may need to give one a try!
    Enjoy, Landon! 👍🏼

Hi bud, I have this guitar, what bridge replacement do you recommend if I want to make it string thru body. I know nothing about string spacing. Thanks

Think this will be a good budget jonny greenwood tele plus if you just change the bridge to the red lace sensor pickups? With the shredmaster pedal
Edit: Also have a fender champion 40 which has seen better days but still rocking on

That guitar's begging to get sticker'd up. They even left out the neck pickup so there's more room for stickers!

i can’t wait to mod my esquire and put a tele bridge in the neck… ? the guitar sounds great, i just fundamentally have a problem with the concept of a one pickup guitar. is the bridge pickup literally in the same place as a conventional tele?

Hi, what did you think of the humbucker. mine seems weak in the bass and mids area... do you think its worth swapping it out or is it mostly the guitar that makes it sound not so clear in the bass mids area- Thanks

sounded fine in my environment. Definitely try a different pickup if you don't like the stock PU

Wow this one's name is a mouthful. I would swap that HB for a Seymour Duncan JB ASAP. You can also make a guitar out of a set of strings, a piece of 2 by 4 and some screws. But it doesn't like as good as a tele...

Only miss for me on this is the lack of a 3 way switch… Squier did just release a paranormal series deluxe esquire today that I am strongly considering as it has the esquire wiring. Only thing is the price is around $429 which is more then double this one. Hmm decisions decisions

24” scale length. 1 1/2 inches shorter than a Stratocaster. 3/4 of an inch shorter than a Gibson Les Paul. Guaranteed to be a BIG hit.

I am tempted to buy one... and equip it with a white Seymour Duncan Invader... add a coilsplit feature... maybe a Killswitch button just for good measure to fill the void on the control plate... but my wife would probably murder me in my sleep over it, do it for me Landon, be the man I can't be...
