all can be simply explained by the well known fact that lions dont like to share their territory with other predators, but the cheetahs were in the heat

It`s normal lion behaviour to erase any other predator no matter if it`s leopard, hyena or cheetah. Especially male lions love to kill any form of competition without eating it.

I feel really bad for that female cheetah. 3 males basically R wording her and then she gets killed by a lion It's even more sad because cheetahs are very endangered so females that are in heat are very precious. But just like that a lion kills probably one of the few females in that region.
If you look at how male lions react when other lions are fighting in front of them it kinda makes sense. Male lions are always in the middle of some fighting, they always join fights when they see someone fighting in the pride. When the cheetahs were fighting in front of them it was basically an invitation to the males. Also one of the cheetahs was trying to intimidate a male lion, lions are always challenging, there was this video where two male lions enter a territory and a hyena clan challenges them and so they catch and kill one of the hyenas. It's just how lions are, and also there are crazy lions among lions like the hyena killer or Mr. T.
Yeah! Also do you know that the two nomadic lions documented in the footage are none other than the legendary Snyggve and Tryggve males who were sired by another legendary lions C Boy and Hildur. Sadly, both Snyggve and Tryggve are longer with us. They died in March, 2023. Snyggve was killed by a group of three males aka Saba Bora males which is actually a coalition of 7 males.
11:01 the lion holding the cheetah in its teeth while looking at the camera is so badass. The lion (probably the king of that terroritory) tracked this group of cheetahs for miles . The 3 males spent their whole time fighting with each other and trying to mate with the female, just for the Lion to end up killing her and reminding the others that its still his Territory.
None of those cats stand a chance against a Lion. If you never seen a Male Lion in person, then you don't realize the sheer size advantage they have. They are called Big Cats for a reason.
Lions are killing machines. No human stands a chance or smaller predator stands a chance. An alpha male Lion can take on a whole pack of Hyena's at the same time.
I was looking for documentary cat wars this 5 days ago and 3 days later National Geographic uploaded for me wow god really exists he was watching over me thank you lord Allah Swt 🤲🏽
Exactly!! That’s the moral of the story alright! The lions should all just stop being so mean, play around with butterflies, and learn how to eat weeds. When the hyenas come around to wear the lions down, then eat them and the lion cubs alive, they can take solace knowing that they are doing the right thing according to you and Walt Disney. Wait. Maybe the moral of the story should be that hyenas shouldn’t torment lions so that the lions don’t have to be so mean! But then what about polar bears, orcas, wolves, eagles, etc?? Do you think all of nature should change to suit what you think it should be?
I was looking for documentary cat wars this 5 days ago and 3 days later National Geographic uploaded for me wow god really exists he was watching over me thank you lord Allah Swt 🤲🏽
We're humans so we know the difference between a lion and a cheetah but does a lion know hey that's a cheetah he is no threat or does the lion say that's a competitor and he's not getting what I could be eating
I think it's more securing their reputation in that region. The big competitors of lions are the dogs. As in hyenas and african wild dogs Then you have the other competitors like leopards and cheetahs. All of these 5 animals are trying to be dominant in their region so they have the most water and food. The lions are just trying to assert their dominance and let it be known this is their turf
I think the lion was annoyed at the noise they were making. If I was the landlord of a building and 4 people were making a huge amount of noise and disturbing everything and everyone around them, I'd evict them. The gain from them giving me rent (the equivalent of free meals for the lions) was outweighed by just wanting QUIET for the others and myself.
The lion was already in motion with a built up in speed. He hit burst as soon as the cheetah was starting to take off. Although it was faster, it stood no chance. It underestimated the lion like lions do hyenas.
@mistyydagoat That is exactly what happened regardless if the cheetah was tired or injured. They can accelerate fast, but not that fast from that position. The cheetah was also young and stupid.
Although I long loved this documentary I’ve watched it in anticipation of Asiatic Lions reintroduced in Kuno where Cheetah are also introduced. I want to see Cat Wars 2: in Kuno with Tigers and Leopards involved.
For all those who are trying to sleep I wish you good night and soon find the love of your life and if you already have it, love each other very much😍🙏🏼❤❤
Y do everyone thinks Lions are the king of the jungle when it's never one what will make them if 1 on 1 with an ELEPHANT ..RINO..BUFFALO ...GERAFFTH....OR. HIPPO
This seems like a revenge story where the Lion wants to get rid of all members of the Cheetah clan that might have perhaps killed a lion cub or something. They are relentless in their pursuit of vengeance.
I haven't watched the full thing but at 0:50, that lion was going in for the kill. Lions claw at eachother just to wound eachother but when they bite, they're trying to kill.
Wait so what was the answer?? Still doesn’t make sense that they spent their time doing something of less importance. They wouldn’t have followed a hyena or leopard that far
Male Lions takes smaller sized big cats like Cheetos and Leos as a target practice to prepare themselves to battle and overthrow dominating male Lions in the pride.
The male cheetah didnt perceive an immediate threat on its life... He thought the lion was going to shooo it away like lions have done to him maybe dozens of time to steal a kill or move away frm territory... Hence loafing vs full speed sprint away...
I never realized how intense these animal fights could be. The struggle for survival is so real
Really? You don't think apex predators and their fights could be intense and only realizing that now?
You never realized
Duhhhh...u musta been,homeschooled,huney ! Smh. 🤦♀️ ❤❤❤
Props to that little cub that turned around to fight that lion even though it was doomed.

Watching that poor female cheetah, brutally killed by Lion really is sad.
I hated when two male lions brutally killing a poor female cheetah. This is animal criminal for what male lions are brutally capable of.
