I just wanna say thank, Nat
Geo are the best.
It`s normal lion behaviour to erase any other predator no matter if it`s leopard, hyena or cheetah. Especially male lions love to kill any form of competition without eating it.
Later on they observed the Cheetahs are a threat to their young. So they have become Prey.
@@amymccormick5360 In nature, nothing happens without a reason. Harsh reality...
a leopard ore a hyena are tougher than cheetahs
It seems that the bloodline battle for the female cheetah has put the animals in a strange situation over and above the basic instinct of survival
Yet, what's not talked about is how often adult lions are intimidated by hyenas. Trust me, I didn't wana believe it either, and I'd often get very frustrated watching them run from hyenas. Rather, it be a male in his prime or a whole pride. If the hyenas have the courage and numbers, the lions OFTEN yield, run, or even climb trees in fear of hyenas... sometimes giving only little fight. But the thing about hyenas is that if they even sense fear or lack of courage within a lion when they come up against them, their own courage builds, and they will pursue the lion(s). Hyenas feed off of weakness and fear... lion or not.
Look at the lion's muscles when he walks up amazing 💪👑
All the carnivores kill the young of others. Even the wild dogs get in on it and receive it.
Ik this is nature but this is absolutely so sad
I was looking for documentary cat wars this 5 days ago and 3 days later National Geographic uploaded for me wow god really exists he was watching over me thank you lord Allah Swt 🤲🏽
@@daviroza4700 thats really a weak way of strengthening your faith in something.
Lol eat ur chicn nuggets
Why isn't the Cheetahs 🐆 running away at full Speed?

same thing I was thinking
But in the video they are saying it looks like he might have been injured
The male cheetah killed was clearly injured, watch the footage you can see he couldn't move his back legs like normal.
Watching that poor female cheetah, brutally killed by Lion really is sad.
Moral of this story; don’t be like a beast, don’t be like a lion. The males killing the Cubs breaks my heart, what a vicious cycle
A 46 minute discussion over a 46 second attack. Reminds me of the "reaction videos" when someone hears your favorite 3 minute song for the first time and describes their reaction to it over 20 excruciating minutes.
Wasn't expecting to get genuinely upset, albeit mildly, on behalf of the female cheetah. She was literally just minding her own business...
It's nature.
it's nature
I know it’s nature and I don’t have to like it but I accept it. I’m looking forward to the new Earth when all animals and humans live in harmony.

@@dimitriemarcello2421😂
Ik this is nature and there’s really not nothing you can do about it, but this is why I do not like lions because they go after cheetah who are my favorite big cat, in addition, to snow leopards and pumas.
Amazing incident ..very rare ...nice video..credits to makers of this .. !
The cheetah lickin & stickin is hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂 14:25
Replying the same shot and scene multiple times is so annoying and redundant
Does anyone love African animals like me? I also love relaxing music
Haven't seen this documentary since 2006 when I was in high-school 😅 Very happy to see it again.
Yeah! Also do you know that the two nomadic lions documented in the footage are none other than the legendary Snyggve and Tryggve males who were sired by another legendary lions C Boy and Hildur. Sadly, both Snyggve and Tryggve are longer with us. They died in March, 2023. Snyggve was killed by a group of three males aka Saba Bora males which is actually a coalition of 7 males.
Great footage and thanks for sharing without editing!!

Lions vs Cheetah 🐆 that's no competition 🐾
19:22 the poor Cubs
This episode i already watched in 2014😢❤❤
They are the most beautiful healthy lions I have seen gorgeous ❤❤
Witness a tense confrontation as the animals unleash their fury on their predators.
Stunning visuals and sound, thank you for sharing!
I rmr this episode as a kid, the skull crunch is still crazy
The lion in the water surrounded by all the hyenas was one of the great Mapogos
Love it. Decades of footage. Did someone forget what male lions do ? Any predator in his territory is the enemy. Male lions don't F around
Awesome documentary
This is what happens when you put all of your stats into speed. You break like a twig. Dang nature, you scary.
Didn’t you see that cheetah stepped up to that lion. One of the cheetahs stomp the yard so of course the lion is going to take it as a challenge.
I must say. A very good video and I am just as shocked by the behavior.
The lion in the water surrounded by all the hyenas was one of the great Mapogos, I believe it was dreadlocks
I have seen this footage some 30 years ago from a drama documentary called Untamed Africa. I can never forget this scene.
The lion was already in motion with a built up in speed. He hit burst as soon as the cheetah was starting to take off. Although it was faster, it stood no chance. It underestimated the lion like lions do hyenas.
If you look at how male lions react when other lions are fighting in front of them it kinda makes sense. Male lions are always in the middle of some fighting, they always join fights when they see someone fighting in the pride. When the cheetahs were fighting in front of them it was basically an invitation to the males.
Also one of the cheetahs was trying to intimidate a male lion, lions are always challenging, there was this video where two male lions enter a territory and a hyena clan challenges them and so they catch and kill one of the hyenas. It's just how lions are, and also there are crazy lions among lions like the hyena killer or Mr. T.
I will never forget the look on the guy with the glasses face that saw that lion attack for the first time on camera.
Hard to watch - all animal lives are so difficult 😢
majestic
It was a surprise attack.......poor Cheetah 🥱
19:40 _Not only that, the Cubs would grow up to kill the new king_
First clip 2 Lions Attacking Injured cheetah I saw it 7 Years ago .......
Plz play Castle Defense Online!
It's really fun
Less predators means more food.
OHHHH YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAH
oh wow
1:41 wow😍🦁
You play the same clip over and over again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How does a cheetah get caught by anything
The cheetah was old. Any young cheetah would be able to out run any lion with ease.
So sad
🦁 vs 🐆.
Awh so cute
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think the lion was annoyed at the noise they were making. If I was the landlord of a building and 4 people were making a huge amount of noise and disturbing everything and everyone around them, I'd evict them. The gain from them giving me rent (the equivalent of free meals for the lions) was outweighed by just wanting QUIET for the others and myself.
😂😂
nice
Cheetahs probably killed their cubs.
To be certain all men understand weeping and nashing of teeth.
This video i watched 3 years ago
Wait so what was the answer?? Still doesn’t make sense that they spent their time doing something of less importance. They wouldn’t have followed a hyena or leopard that far
That is sad about the cubs
I heard his neck snap 45:32 sheesh
Beutiful..
Well that was an awkward hug….
Its a behavior in lions...they are jealousy of anything that brings competition. Elimination becomes the only option. In fact, lions kills cubs they did not sire; they frown upon step fathering. How about competition from other predators?
How did the DNA code generate so many different creatures ???
That cheetah gotta be hurt cuz no way a male lion can catch up
Femme fatale!
i still try to understand why the cheetah fails to outrun the lion during the attack..is it cz its in panic mode or ....
I thought cheetahs are faster?
Did you watch the video The cheetah was injured
I feel really bad for that female cheetah. 3 males basically R wording her and then she gets killed by a lion
It's even more sad because cheetahs are very endangered so females that are in heat are very precious. But just like that a lion kills probably one of the few females in that region.
The Lions killing cubs that are not theirs are cruel
They're lions.
nature is harsh and unfair. let's be thankful we're not lions
Selfish. They want to mate. They don't care about anything beyond themselves. Primitive male behaviour.
Acts 17:24 KJV - God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Amen
This is a rehash of an old video 👎☹
Q lindo país, Dios bendiga Israel ❤
How did a lion catch a cheetah?
😂
Nose hairs. Please, before you film up n close.😮😮😮😮
Lion over
I thought cheetah ran 100 miles an hour
ok
My conclusion is he was just having a bad day!!🤣🤣🤣
Oooooh noooooo!!!!! 😔🙏🙏🙏😔😔😔🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
We're humans so we know the difference between a lion and a cheetah but does a lion know hey that's a cheetah he is no threat or does the lion say that's a competitor and he's not getting what I could be eating
I think it's more securing their reputation in that region. The big competitors of lions are the dogs. As in hyenas and african wild dogs
Then you have the other competitors like leopards and cheetahs. All of these 5 animals are trying to be dominant in their region so they have the most water and food. The lions are just trying to assert their dominance and let it be known this is their turf
It's the lion's territory. Cheetahs have to go. It's a food thing.
i hate that lions just kill for the fun of it.. even their own kind. they are clearly not interested in searching for food.... it is very sad...
Personally, I think cheetahs don’t deserve to be killed or bullied by any predators, including humans.
❤🎉

But too bad lions don’t live in “jungles” it’s more like a prairie
@@Christopher-og3kl they do live in a jungle
@@shangrilaladedaThe Indian lions might. African ones live on the plains of the Masai Mara. And the Khalihari. I've been to Kenya. The habitat is grasslands with the occasional tree. The lower level of rains mean the vegetation can't keep up with the elephants eating habits. And giraffes. If those animals were fewer the trees would have a chance to flourish.
@@redelfshotthefood8213 well the landscape changed the nature did have time to flourish before people ruined most of nature
Human serial killers lion serial killer
I thought the Cheetahs are critically endangered ?? Why would you just watch the Cat be killed ?? The lion isn’t even eating the kill.
If you can see this video very old first off. Second this is a normal encounter with wild animals. Its apart of the normal everyday eco system. Very rarely will camera men jump in and disturb wildlife.
It's okay I guess- they are all AI
It's a documentary. They're documenting. If they interfere with it they don't get the understanding of what is a natural occurrence. They won't have documented what they're trying to document. Meaning they will have failed their objective.
Never interrupt nature, it does what it should
Number one law of the parks is you do not interfere with nature
this video doesnt show that cheetahs are the fastest animals. clearly lions run faster
Because it was injured
Cheetah is a stupid name for a Gepard (in German is Cheetah a Cosename for chimpanzee)
I'm sorry. I don't understand. I'm thinking cheetah is Swahili for the particular cat. You know. A local name.

I don't care who u r this is just cruel!!
Welcome to nature, where animals eat one another. Be glad the dinosaurs got smaller and evolved into birds when the food got scarce... Or the few humans around would still be living in caves. Hiding from Dinos.
Why show this brutality? People already know what lions are capable of and we don't need to see it just so you can increase your ratings!
Why show the brutality? So we can understand how the animals fit together in the web of life. We know far too little. We need to understand to prevent too many extinctions. We don't want to go the way of the Mayans.
