I used to visit Rishikesh some 30 years ago. The place was so quiet,tranquil and bounding with spiritual energy. Recent videos are shocking. Rishikesh is not a place for fun ,frolicking, and alcohol. It is unfortunate that government is encouraging this kind of tourist activity in the abode of God's.
According to Buddha being mindfulness of breathing (anapanasati) and concentration on loving-kindness (metta) help to calm and quiet the mind, leading to a heightened level of concentration and mental clarity. Which helps to achieve right concentration" (samma samadhi) As per what people say, in Rishikesh people automatically get metta(loving-kindness) Rishikesh looks favourable for the practice that Buddha mentioned And Rama meditated their, the place is quiet Their is connection
They are fed up with materalistic world and all kinds of minds tricks. As Indians we are attracted to materialistic world so we are settling in abroad and we love their culture because it's open and they love our culture because it has morals. Man and women is attracted to each other so opposite attracts. It's a cycle. They have lived enough of lustful life and are fed up of lust they realised there is nothing in this human sensory or mind can satisfy. They are in search of truth and which is the Creator of the humans.

Rishikesh is ruined by guys from Delhi , Haryana and Punjab who come for partying and often harass foreigner female travellers .
