It's about Nature-Human relationship. Amy represents nature. When I think like this all lyrics settle down and it's so hard to hold back tears when you think about what human did to mother nature.

If we destroy this planet and nature will die, there will not be enough nourishment left for the population. So, malnatrition can cause all these things. And I think by "but look how the bruises show" can be interpreted as all the damage we already have caused to nature. "dont wanna have to bury you" refers to how humanity will die if we continue like this, even if mother earth doesn't really want to. Later on she says "haunting your own house, nothing to loose", I see this as natural catastrophes like hurricanes and floods that will increase due to climate change. Mother earth is "haunting" us, because we can't seem to change in oder to safe her, and therefore us.
