- Bone is a great resource to find naturally in the bush or bring some with you on an adventure. Never overlook a pile of bones as a potential resource. Dry, brittle, naturally exposed bones are very weak and will break. Fresh bones are the best!

With no words this man brings about a wealth of knowledge and with even less he is able to express an art lesser known. What a guy, all the respect and love to your future endeavors sir!
Thanks so very much for watching and following the adventures. Sometimes the best thing in life is silence with a bit of craft on the side. Much respect and appreciation.
I respect the amount of time and effort you put into sharing this knowledge. It really makes me look at the forest around me in a different way
Awesome. That’s the goal. I appreciate you watching and following the journey.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks Donny major props to you and for your skills and patience with working with this technology, you are an inspiration to all of us.
I have the upmost respect for you sir. Thank you for showing ppl how to survive in case there is a major catastrophe. Love from one fee soul to another.
Thanks. Appreciate you watching and following the adventures. Much respect.
Dude I'm loving these longer videos! Your shorts are great but having more is a blessing!
Awesome. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it greatly.
Dude I used to go out in the woods and cut several trees, let them season for a few months and make bows. I’ve got a red oak stave sitting that’s over 7 years old. Watching these videos you’ve got me inspired to get back out practice this stuff. In fact, I’m going to attempt to make an entire set of tools that you use starting with a stone knife. Keep up the work man the old ways can’t be forgotten!
Love to hear it. Life is long and the ability to craft, create and inspire is endless. Much respect. Hope to cross paths in the bush.
Is your name a punisher reference, or happy accident?
@@17Liberty76 it’s referencing the punisher’s civvie name as I’m a big fan.
@@thegrayjedi5202 sweet. I thought so.
@@thegrayjedi5202 my avatar for my language learning app is the punisher skull 💀
I find so much joy watching his videos
Thanks. I appreciate you watching and sharing. Much respect.
And you just showed me a new and better way to make my leather things. I actually really needed this bit of information. It's gonna make my world a lot easier. Thnx
Appreciate directing me to the long form content boss 🙌 I strive to be this grounded. Free from all the material world, just a manly man with his best friend 🐶 much love
I find it really interesting watching how our ancestors made things so thanks for sharing. Best wishes from London UK.
Thanks for watching.
Well done, quick and to the point.
Thanks. Appreciate it greatly.
I like this comment. Gets the point across.👌
@@MagdalenaKatarzyna I see your point. 😁
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks point taken! Success 😄
I admire this guy, watching him makes me wanna drop everything and just go into the forest never to be seen again. Much respect sir!
Watching the Ads to support the channel. Love your content. Keep it up.
Wow! That works better than any needle I've ever had
This video is so relaxing
I love how you’re using the sandy dirt as additional heavy abrasive. Also that’s a kick ass little pouch.
2:12 this how i made a Borneo blowgun after making a basic one pure bushcarft style i used a hollow bone sharpened as the spear tip(kinda like a bayonet)using pitch glue and senue giving the classic spear blowgun from Borneo was a fun project and pretty convenient for hunting different size game
That’s awesome. Sounds great. Love to see it.
Thanks Donny
Make longer videos man about ancient people !!!! Your amazing bro
Great Video Dude, I’ve been studying up on your videos, I’m getting ready to attempt knapping for the first time, I collected some yellow chert material over the summer I’m gonna try out, doesn’t seem like the best material to work with but it’s what I got, been picking up arrowheads for 26 years here in North Georgia and I can’t get out and look right now because I’m broke down so I figured it would be a good time to start, thanks for sharing 👊🏹
Love what your doing, teaching people how to make stuff out of bone and stone is amazing. And, practical if your ever in a survival situation and need to make tools or whatever you need
Donny, whatever you do, you definitely give it your "awl"!
...I'll get my coat
Outstanding!!!
This is one of those channels where you're not sure why it doesn't have a million subs. I'm sure here soon that will change.
Your the first guy I've watched that uses grinding rocks
As always, your videos amaze me. Great work Donny! I gonna take a long shot here, would making bone arrow heads be a similar process?
Hey you ever thought about doing a detailed book this is so detailed and valuable today many people don't know this or would even attempt to try it godbless
Always impressive
Words cannot express how much respect I have for you. You are keeping the old ways alive. I am learning how to flint knap, what advice would you give me?
Also I follow your TikTok, and in your next one, can you make a jaw bone club or tomahawk?
Would you add a hole near the tip to push thread through? Or would it weaken the tip too much?
No need. The tip of the awl can push the lacing through. A bone needle is your next best option.
Ay! Donny
That's some awesome work
Please make more videos for a long time, it's satisfying to watch you do this stuff
Will do. Appreciate you watching and hanging around. Thanks.
Matthew McConaughey: "Awl right, awl right, awl right!"

@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks the pleasure is ours. Thanks for what you do
All the best from Apache land New Mexico and please give your dog a hug for me .
Awesome. Thanks. Much respect. Appreciate you watching.
Nice little forager’s pouch you made there 😘
Thanks. I secretly make things for my girlfriend on these videos. She doesn’t know, but I am amassing a huge collection of stuff for her and my sons.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks damn, she sounds like the luckiest girl EVER!!! Living the dream 😊
Just found you're channel, I'm a primitive survivalist in CO.
Good work
Wow I just found this channel and I love the content i don't know if you've made one before a comprehensive videos on how to make stone knives and where to get the tools or make the tools needed to do it would be awesome
I could honestly watch this guy do random stuff for hours and not blink
Could you twist the bone, gripping the ends, to shatter it? That'd be like a greenstick fracture and they are more splintery. More long slender pieces to work with.
Pretty cool👍
Thanks for watching. Appreciate it.
Wow there was a coyote that walked right by Donny while he was sewing and he didn’t even care. What a legend
I would love to know more about your dog, sir. Looks like an interesting one. What kind of does a Paleo man have?
I am new to your channel after seeing you on tiktok. I had to find you here. I was wondering, have you shown how to tan the leather down in a primitive fashion? If not, could you please do a video showing the methods?
Are the bones dried special? Boiled first? Or just water cleaned and left to dry? They don't look cracked like usual with bones. What animal are they from?
Wonder where this was filmed-it’s a beautiful area.
Good tool. 👍👍
Thanks for watching.
You should make something out of obsidian if you can, I heard it's very sharp
The bone looks fresh. Can you use bones bleached white
Wow my gad 👌👌
I want to know more about how you live. I remember you mentioning you do have a place for when you got your kids, but what brought you here?
Nice, you should make an atlatl and dart.
Soon. Real soon.
Hi Donnie, interesting video. What breed is your dog ?
He is a mutt…husky and pit bull.
Heyoo! Greetings from Wisconsin! Love your videos, so informative and well made! Quick question, since I'm watching and listening to scraping and kinda zoning out...
I have a monster pimple under my nostril. Totally not kidding and yes, I've been touching my face with my greasy fingers but I'm done now!
Do you have any tricks to helping keep acne at bay or even specific pimple treatments that you've used?
I would love any help you can offer. Thanks in advance! ~linz
Haha. No worries. Not the first time I’ve been asked that. Oatmeal placed on the skin in a small wet pack will dry and draw out toxins. It helps.
your sewing kit 😄
Do you ever have the need to waterproof anything and if so how do you go about it?
Tallow or beeswax
I use everything from pine resin, gum tree sap, rendered fats, waxes and combinations of them all. Thanks for watching.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks awesome, I never knew rendered fats would work as well. By the way it’s a stunning place where you do your videos, I’ve spent time in the states, but I’d love to get out into some more of the wilder more natural areas.
Can you use raw bone? Or does it need to be dried or baked?
Is the pouch you made referred to as a bundle?
Not sure. Yeah…we can call it that.
Very cool.
Fun fact, chimpanzees are in the first level of the stone age. They use a "hammer and anvil" to crack nuts. One flat thick rock as the anvil, and a smaller round one. They even share tools so everyone gets to learn. And eat.
Other animals use tools besides monkeys
@@thomasjcorson7502 never said they didn't. Darwins finches to name one. Dolphins and lemurs get high. Lol
Maybe a razor short video?
Primitive razor for shaving
So much respect for your skills and zeal to be with nature. Love your videos. Wish my one like and subscription could give you 100 more sir.
I know it should be all authentic and stuff but is bone meal not really bad for your lungs or am I mistaken
I have to ask what do you use for glue?
Hi
Is that your dog in the background?
Awlsome 🤙🦴
“Can you make a bone shank?”
…yeah.
