- No joke, this video may have been out a day earlier if I didn't spend 3 hours the other night going over everyone's birthdays (also the fact many ages are incorrect on the Wiki) lol.
Saki's decision to be held back in school is one of those things that makes sense at the time, but turns out to be really stupid in hindsight.
Like, If she didn't repeat the year, she would have graduated and still have a level of superiority over every single school student in japan.

I myself love Saki already - she's got a great design, she's a new flavor of broken, and there's a lot of potential for shenanigans going forward - but my favorite part of the chapter was watching each new family head go briefly power-mad with the position before passing it up the chain.
I think that Kurumi only uses honorifics with people she respects, she calls karane and shizuka by senpai because she looks up to them. But saki hasn't done much to earn respect yet. Idk tho, I'm also just a white American who learned from anime
And imo, that's kind of a blushing face kurumis making. She might like sakis style
Well it's possible that Kurumi was going to say senpai it's just that she took too long to say it and Saki interupted her before she could finish
The facial expressions were on point this chapter.
So from what I can tell of the honorifics,
The first group just calls her "Senpai" to show their respect and honour her seniority as all those girls are either formal/polite or well-mannered
The second group consisting of 4 characters that come from professional backgrounds or in Yamame's case, being a parody of the village girl trope. These people use the "San" honorific to signify respect, akin to how a masseuse, a writer and a handmaiden do in normal life.
The final group who don't care about boundaries, honorifics, age gaps and are just ultimately too casual with everyone. Outside of specific people who prove why they earn their respect, this final gang will always ignore social standings to be as casual with everyone they meet.
7:20 - Yaku often doesn't know what's going on. But when she does she knows what to do.
8:30 - It's odd to me that Mai is included with the students at all. While she is younger, as noted, she's not a high school student so she's under no obligation to call Saki "senpai" in the first place.
Momiji's probably explained by being an oddball, she calls everyone "san". Like in the chapter where Rentarou kept drinking Kusuri's drugs and needed the girls to appeal the very specific niches, she calls *everyone* san while listing their chest sizes, even when she used another honorific, like with "Usa-chan-san", though that become a recurring bit for everyone.
I was all-in on Saki meeting Yaku, who I figured Saki would see was the most senpai senpai to every senpai, and was not disappointed when Yaku's mere presence made Saki a literal bootlicker. I also love the time-of-birth down to the second gag.

I have a feeling that the next couple of chapters is gonna be like, Rentaro family vs OOO family, gang vs gang like arc.

Can't help but notice that Saki doesn't immediately recognise the 2 teachers and the chairwoman, she wouldn't try to exert her dominance to the whole group if she knows them. You could argue that she doesn't know about Miss Naddy and Momoha-sensei cuz they don't teach her class, but she could've seen them from time-to-time or at least hear about them from the other students and faculty. I can't find an excuse for her not knowing about Hahari, since she held a emergency assembly just to announce that she's the school's new chairwoman.

I'm with you on both introduction chapters. They felt like they were missing something but I'm curious on who they decide to pair Saki up with. For some reason I think her and Yamame would go great together.
It's because she believes in the egalitarian motto of "X is a living thing too, aye", which is a good salve to Saki's obsession with hierarchy
My money's on Kurumi, since she normally observes the kouhai-senpai relationship (both as noted in the video and the first daily life chapter featuring her concern about being a good senpai herself) but if she refuses to do it with Saki, that's something that may merit addressing.
And in other 100GFs news, the cover for Volume 19 has been revealed and it has Tama and Eira on the cover. As Eira as is one of my favorites, it's nice to see her get more colored in artwork.

I think Saki's later chapters would focus on her being able to achieve something besides her age
