    i wouldnt dive below 55m on 21% air, without a bail-out cyl (or twinset) and without a 50% nitrox stage to switch to! - how many of the fatalities here are single cylinder 21% diving beyond the MOD for air and without the experience or training?!

    Chuckjagermeister: Sure, I agree with you but still find it very interesting how does the specific place/dive site influences a human psyche. Blue Hole has its very specific "vibes".

    I'm a MSDT PADI Instructor with deep as 1 of my 15 specialties, diving since 1991. I would not do this dive without massive tech training and plenty build up dives PLUS a very very experienced dive buddy, hang tanks, emerg procedures, etc. 1 tank and on air plus inexperience is just asking to be killed. Really sad that so many have needlessly been killed. My thoughts go to all those Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters and relatives in mourning.

    nate4818 #5 I had my 1st accident in the Blue Hole of Dahab in 2005, when I was already qualified tech diver (ER and adv.tmx) I was desperate about that dive (and I have donehundreds of dives in the BH,on one tank, on tri mix, with doubles and 2 deco stages and Extended range dives, The last one was very simple: an Extended Range dive 60 m, air and 50% Nitrox as a deco gas.

    Mathiasphoenix: Hi there! No, no, you always know what way is up. It's just the way your bubbles go. And they always go up. Besides the Blue Hole is not an overhead environment.I have been down to 118 m in the Blue Hole, that's so beautiful down there.

    #9 I had no choice and here Bang! I equlized perfectly felt great and decided to go through the arch. I thought I would be able to find them on the other side, when I was awimming through the arch I knew exactly that this is not the "end" but only a beginning of the disaster, how did I know that? I don't know "how" I know what kind of informstion (vibes) I received from very unfriendly BH on that day.I knew I am going to survive but I also knew I am going to experince a disaster.

    nate4818#2 If a diver thinks of lets say Blue Hole and gets scared shitless, I can understand that. But what about an animal, what makes it to run away (and in the right direction??) from a nutural disaster? What suddenly causes an animal to feel fear?

  • @elenakonstantinou8566
    @elenakonstantinou8566  16 лет назад

    nate4818:You see i was studying all those accidents very attentively within a few years, all those who died there had either "bad feelings" or something went wrong on that day that should have stopped them. There were those who stopped and those who ignored their "felings" and didn't stop (RIP) The ignorant denying the feelings or vibes would end up at either the bottom of Blue Hole or any other unpleasant situation they would really like to avoid.

    nate4818 #7 As soon as I realized I left my reel and smb in the club, I knew exactly that :I am going to need it during the dive" I didn't know how this will manifest, but I knew I would regret that I didn't go back and collect the smb from the club. I had my other 2 buddies, they had their smbs, so what could happen with me?

  • @elenakonstantinou8566
    @elenakonstantinou8566  16 лет назад

    #12 So my dear nate4818, If I am completely honest with you I must admit that I shouldn't have done that dive, I knew I shouldn't but I wanted it badly. Did you hear the story of Yuri Lipski?

  • @elenakonstantinou8566
    @elenakonstantinou8566  16 лет назад

    #6 ..So I had 2 buddies. I was pretty nervous in the morning had a bad argue with my boyfriend and was not in my best dive mood,on the way from a dive shop to Blue Hole I relized I left my SMB and a reel in the dive club, but it was getting darker and I wanted it very much and I was going to get it NOW (heaven or hell) I knew something wrong was going to happen, but I though f*** the smb, there are of us all will be fine!

    Wasnt there a guy who was able to dive and go through the arch with no fins, no air and no wet suit? How can he do that and the rest with all the equipment die?

  • @elenakonstantinou8566
    @elenakonstantinou8566  16 лет назад

    #10 Well... and then it happened... I missed the crack on the outer side of the reef, you know...the one you have to cross in order to come back to the easy entrence bridge. As a result I was blown away from a coral rift and proceeded drifting farther away from the dive site. Few minutes later I ended up in the desert, my friends couldn't see me

    nate4818: and one more thing: remember tsunami disaster in Thailand? How many people died? And how many animals died? Regarding the animals: there was 1 cat (locked in the house) and one elephant (tied to a tree) the rest of the animals left the place BEFORE the disaster stroke. Now tell me please, what made those animals to leave the place where they were supposed to die? An "escapinf tsunami tech training"? Or did they check the weather on I-net?

    #8 I was not scared at all, when we started to fall into the well and nearly reached the Arch Bingo!My ears,, I couldn't equalized so had to hover at 45-47 m in from of the Arch #8 while my dive buddies were waiting for me, I signaled to them, "I have a problem with my ear, I am going up and you go through and up". They said: OK and disappeared inside the arch. I was ready to go up since my ears were screwed..

    Because on a free dive you don't breath.
    That's the problem. When you go that deep the air is poisonous - unless you use trimix.

    @elenakonstantinou8566  16 лет назад

    #11 (they were looking for SMB which I didn't have but they didn't see me. I won't tell you how badly I harmed myself and how terribly scared I was and how I nearly panikced and stranging myself on my back up reg. necklace.That's boring. But that was the last time when I stopped to listen to "inner voice": "go and collect you smb,numpty".

  • @earlgrey2130
    @earlgrey2130 13 лет назад +1

    Honestly.. a bit to esoteric for my taste. Its not a mysterious energy or some portal that is dangerous there. It is a lack of education and/or appropriate equipment and respect for the dive.
    At least thats my opinion.

  • @elenakonstantinou8566
    @elenakonstantinou8566  16 лет назад

    nate4818: #4 So are animals more smart than people? You tel me what was that? How did they feel the disaster is impending and why didthey leave the place without thinking "what IF it all just "seems" ad "feels like" but in fact is bullshit?" The animals do not have a free will, they follow the instincts. People have a free will to CHOOSE between following their insincts or following their rational mind.

  • @elenakonstantinou8566
    @elenakonstantinou8566  16 лет назад

    nate4818:#5 Human's challenge is to unite the two halves of the consciousness into One. It means that if you're inexperienced and you're not sure about a deep dive and your instincts tell you to run away but your mind is telling you that it's just a superstition what half you'd listen to?

  • @elenakonstantinou8566
    @elenakonstantinou8566  16 лет назад

    Sorry I forgot to tell you what that arguement was all about. It was about that dive. Obviously I was stressed that's why I left my smb, on the way to the dive site I knew that I shouldn't do it. Another example: there are 3 dive sites around the world that I DON'T like to dive for no obvious reasons. Beautiful sites, there is nothing wrong with them (seemingly) but I prefer to stay away from them.

  • @nate4818
    @nate4818 16 лет назад

    Um... overseasmedia. I am a PADI Dive Master and have been all over the world. What you call VIBES is called fear. Training tells you that if you are not comfortable about the dive do not due it. When you do a deep dive this is even more relevant. However I have done tones of sketchy dives that I was unsure of but have done them and at the end I came out a different person. Not do to "vibes" but because I faced my fears nothing more. So once again it is 4:20 and smoke one for me lady.

  • @rationalmuscle
    @rationalmuscle 14 лет назад +1

    Oh brother... "a door with energy..." Why do otherwise intelligent people have to spiritualize a perfectly natural experience? Even the best divers fall into traps on this dive, much like the Andrea Doria. Plus, breathing mixed air with deep blue hues around you and alien-like terrain can mess with your mind. Nothing woo-woo about it.

  • @NathanMoulds
    @NathanMoulds 9 лет назад

    A lot more than 2 animals died in the tsunami Elena. Only two domestic animals were recorded. It's pure rubbish that the animals left in advance through 'vibes'.
    There was no warning and a seismic event under the ocean hundreds of miles away did not 'transmit' information in advance of the large wave of water.
    Humans have pattern recognition and sometimes subconsciously recognise that something is awry of course, but Nate is right... there are no 'vibes' and the animal story about the animals and the tsunami is not even closely related nor even validated. I suspect tens of thousands of animals died that day.

    You are correct in your thoughts that you should not have done the dive. Still I see no indication of VIBES. You had a bad day with your boyfriend, you forgot equipment that you needed, your ears would not clear, you lost sight of your buddies got into trouble and freaked. That was not VIBES that is a bad day. That "inner voice" you heard was a compination of common sence and good training nothing more.

    nate4818: Well you see you really can't "pick the right vibes". First of all I'm not "bro" I'm a "sis"! (Lol!) You can't deny the "feelings" just because they are "irrational", a human being is an intellectual animal and has got 2 sides: rational and intuitive (based on instincts) these 2 parts make ONE nature of a human being.
