The cog system is pretty amazing, even if rough around the edges. Think there should be transmission plates to get from the partial rotation of the water wheel with each marble to either a half rotation or a full one for anything behind it.

The cobra rolls on real life roller coasters make me gray out almost all the time. They are really cool and intense elements

Good idea. There are some speed-dependent tiles by Ravensburger already. The PRO Splitter does what you suggest.
