Thank you all for playing the ^DorkReactor! I'm happy to publish this first major update where I re-designed many aspects of the room. Most of the changes were on the visual side, but I also made some changes to the circuits to make the game more intuitive and more balanced.

Dork reactor has literally changed everything for me. It’s so good. It’s all I play on rec room now. Irl, I love reactors, Chernobyl and stuff like that and this in VR rec room?! Wow. I’ve been playing this since the first version and it’s gotten so much better. All the best.

Hi blue! You might remember me, I have some questions,
1. Just before the meltdown, there is a noise that sounds like a missile, what really is it?
2. Where do you get the sounds from?
3. When will you make it so you can go inside the cooler tower? I'm pretty curious
4. Will you make another room like this? I love ^DorkReactor and ^The-reactor, they are good and I mean it!
5. Could I be a part of dork squad? Will we have to do training?
6. I wanna make my own map like this, can you help me?
7. As the reactor is about to melt, (before the music plays) There's a sound, is that the blowout your talking about in the description?

So, let's start.
That sound you hear before the final explosion isn't a missile, I wanted to add some sound effect to add tension and give the right atmoshphere. If we want to give it a purpose we can pretend it's the sound of the pressure in the reactor reaching the breaking point. But it's not a missile.
I got most of my sound effects from youtube and another website called freesounds.com, I then edited them together with Audacity to make more complex sounds like explosions and refueling pod sfx. To record the sounds in rec room I then used a software called SoundPad.
Sadly you'll never be able to get inside the cooling tower, because inside of it there isn't really anything cool to see. And I would rather use the ink to add more interesting stuff to the rest of the room.
I probably won't make a room like that anytime soon, simply because I would rather work on different projects instead of always doing the same thing. But I will keep on doing rooms like the DorkReactor: little Sanbox rooms that you can explore and play however you want.
For DorkSquad, we are a builders group and we don't let many new people in. If you want to join you can, but you need to tell me that you are willing to learn how to build and you actually want to put in some effort.

Well finally anyways thanks I guess it's sad that you make such good rooms but your YT channel barely has popularity most famous rooms have famous content creators but you don't get enough respect for your work
