Nice job on the review, but the 2-point system only works for square and rectangular wood. It would not help with odd-shapes or re-using previously used material with space left over for small projects, it would be beyond inefficient to have to do 2-points calculations over and over. If 2-point is so accurate and better than cameras, why didn't they use this same system in the P2? Because it isn't, 2-point positioning every single cut is incredibly inefficient, they should of included a camera.
You are correct a camera would be better. But, the S1 is half the price of the P1. This would give the beginner a cheaper entry point for what seems like a full featured machine.
Skylar, I’ve been woodworking for many years now. I’ve learned from many woodworkers. I think you are one of the best teachers! I am seriously considering buying the xtool s1 based on your reviews and demonstrations. Thanks for the encouragement and thanks for your honest enthusiasm!
Awww, thank you Joe.
What software do you use to run the laser?
Thumbs up just for climbing that table 😂 when we want something done we make it happen ❤
Some time ago I wanted to make clean gutters happen, the ladder fell over with me on it, and I fractured my right elbow through the joint.
Looks like a very capable laser machine. Bery nice work.. thank you for sharing your awesome new laser. Everyone stay safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Would like to see how well it works using Lightburn to drive it
It works really well with Lightburn but there’s a couple of functions that do not work with Lyburn like the two point positioning and the engraving on curve surfaces
This was a really good video, thanks
I would have carefully cut the box away from the tool, or set the box on the ground and lifted it out.
Thought about that but didn’t want to damage the box just in case there was something wrong with the laser and needed to send it back
So what do we do with the railings?
Hi Skyler,
Love all your presentations. Would this be suitable for someone who knows nothing about lasers but wishes to start, that’s me.

Paul

Absolutely yes. In fact I never knew anything about lasers until a few months ago and I am not computer savvy at all

Thank you Skyler for your encouraging words. Likewise I know nothing about lasers and I am not at all computer savvy. I have a sculpfun half assembled but hate the idea of constructing an enclosure for it. I love the idea of the all in one enclosure and laser which I understand is safe.
Keep us newbie woodworkers inspired.
Regards,
Paul
cut the sides of the box down.
Hello again can you tell me the overall dimensions of this machine please?
