14:55 love your channel Gena! I’ve learned so much. My hair is thin. I never know if I’m over moisturizing, because I think my hair is dry and I color my gray. I’m in my 60’s and started my curly journey about 5 years ago. I appreciate your help and guidance!!
Oh my gosh my product collection is ridiculously large too! I’m constantly researching and buying new products to try, I almost never make it fully through the bottom of a bottle. Sales are my nemesis 😂
Struggling with fine, high porosity, low density curly hair is 100% legit Weather, water, shampoo & conditioners, hair products etc. . . My biggest issue is the right amount of moisture. . .it's either too much or not enough 🫤 Always appreciate your time in testing products out to share with us. Thank you, Gena!
As I've aged my hair is thinning in my crown. My hair is more wavy and I haven't found the right combination of products. I have good and bad hair days. I'm about ready to give up! Thanks for your expertise, Gena!
Hello! My biggest curly hair struggle is having less definition and lots more frizz on the top layers of my hair due to damage. Thanks for the informative videos!
My biggest struggle as a fine, low density wavy girl is that the top layer of my hair has more damage... but just like you said in the video, a lot of deep conditioners are way too heavy for my hair! Thank you for sharing these tips!
My biggest problem is finding products that don't make my hair stiff. If I don't use enough gel, then my curls don't last. Thank you, Gena, I always get a lot of helpful information from all your tips.
I appreciate how you break down the how's & why's of products. It's really helped me in selecting appropriate products overall. I think my biggest issue is finding the right balance of moisture & hydration.
My biggest issue is volume & definition. I have thin/fine, low density & high porosity hair. I'm still navigating what works & have good hair days & bad hair days. The struggle is real. I love ur recommendations!! 💗💖💙
My biggest curly hair struggle, is having multiple curl types that need different products to achieve a consistent style. I feel like every wash produces a different result.
Great video, Gena! My biggest struggle with my hair right now is keeping the hold especially on the upper layers of my hair. I have tried stronger gels and while it’s helped it doesn’t last all day.
I've been wanting to try Don't Despair Repair! My biggest challenge is the lack of time to do bond building treatments, pre-pooing, heat caps, or anything outside the shower. During COVID times, I had extra time on my hands to do all of these extra weekly steps, and my hair looked better as a result. Cutting out those steps yet still having juicy curls is a struggle.
I am just at the beginning process in learning how to manage my curls. I found your videos a couple of days ago. My biggest problems right now are one side is defined the other is not and dryness. I will be trying some of your techniques. Thank you so much for your suggestions.
My biggest problem is that my curls don’t seem to last no matter what I do. I have very soft hair and it start to frizz quickly. Since my hair is soft, I’m afraid to use conditioner. I only use a tiny amount to remove tangles. I also have a sensitive scalp and have found some products cause my scalp to itch. Thank you Gena for your channel and advice!!
My biggest struggle with my curly wavy right now is fridge when I diffuse! Air drying is fine but takes all day. The second I try to diffuse and poof. All curls turned to frizz. Love your videos!!
Hi Gena ❤ My biggest curly hair struggle is finding the right hair leave in and gel that doesn’t weigh down my hair. And keep my curls frizz free after a few days. Thank you 🙏🏼 for all you do. You are pretty awesome 👏🏻 😊
Your videos are so helpful. My hair has dramatically improved since following your advice. My biggest issue now is finding the right products for the changing season. It's a good time to find new products for a new routine. Your detailed description and explanations really help with that
To start thank you for such informative posts. I struggle with baby fine hair. My hair is healthy but I struggle with frizz. I do like the Curlsmith line as well as Verb.
Hi Gena! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. My biggest curl problem is probably volume that lasts on wash day. Once I SOTC the volume (especially at the roots) disappears pretty quickly. Another greatly helpful video, thank you!
My biggest struggles with my curls lately have been dry curls and losing curl definition after day 2. I know I definitely need a deep conditioner to help moisturize my hair better.
My biggest curly hair struggle is getting the cast out of my hair. I don't like the "wet" look, and when I scrunch out the cast I end up with frizzy hair. Thanks Gena for all your videos, love them!
Thank you, Gena, for all the helpful prodict recommendations and tips! My biggest struggle is getting my high density hair to last beyond 1 day and controlling frizz when refreshing.
Love your videos!! My biggest curly struggle is that the top of my hair is really curly but the underneath is mostly wavy and having low porosity hair makes the top look frizzy while the bottom is fine.
I'm pretty new to my wavy curly hair journey, and I love you and swavy curly Courtney, and follow you both!!! So much help in the experimenting and finding what works well for my healthy porosity, very dense hair! Fine, strawberry blonde, so I have a lot of hair! I love that you both talk about all options to help whatever type hair we have. I can't seem to do any little diffusing without having halo frizz. And I just got a fresh haircut yesterday. Thank you!!!
I don't think I've tried a protein mask or conditioner so i would kive to guve this a try! I need to replace my heat protector with Curl Smith. Im using Bumble and Bumble primer and i think that's making my hair more soft. Love your videos Gina!
My biggest issue is covering my scalp. I have super fine / thin hair and it’s always a struggle. Your videos have been helpful. Some days I struggle with volume so I have incorporated a lot of your suggestions. I also think doing protein treatments will help.
At 72, my hair is fine, thin and totally gray. I do color my hair to cover the gray. Trying to get volume and reduce frizz, especially on top, is always a battle.
I really enjoy your videos! I learn something new every time. Thank you 😊 My biggest struggle is staying power for my curls and refresh day. Refresh day is a crap shoot!
My biggest hair struggle is Florida weather! My hair goes poofy in our humidity so getting the right combination of stylers to match the weather on a given wash week that will help my style last a few days is always a fun experiment lol.
Thank you so much h for the giveaway! My biggest curly hair struggle is getting my volume to last! I have great volume Day 1-2 but by Day 3 there’s too much frizz not to wash it just fully wet down and restyle ❤
My biggest curly hair struggle is getting volume AND definition as someone with thin curly hair. Too much volume=frizz central but too much definition=flat hair. Alwaysssss trying to find the balance and the right products/techniques to help with that!
Thanks Gena ❤ my biggest struggles have been finding shampoos that don’t make my scalp itchy (Aveda Scalp line, AG Renew and Innersense Clarity are all great for my scalp), massive knots and tangles so I need lots of conditioner to detangle but conditioning products weigh my hair down so I’ve stopped using any kind of leave in or cream and that has helped. My underneath layers retain great definition and clumps but the top frizzes and fluffs up so quickly. The top layer of hair is much wavier and doesn’t retain structure as well as the underside. All your advice has helped me to have much more consistent results.
My biggest struggle is flat hair. I cannot seem to create volume on the top of my head. I have more wavy curly hair. Thank you for the comparison of these conditioners in your blog post.
Next day hair! I sleep on my sides so of course, the hair on my sides is always smashed even with a bonnet and I'm terrible at refreshing! Thanks for the video!!
Thank you for your videos, they are always helpful. I have fine, low porosity hair. Just moved to FL a couple months ago so I’m struggling with frizz in the humidity and also feel like my ends are getting damaged from the sun. I do struggle with finding a conditioner that doesn’t weigh down my hair especially if my ends might need more help than the rest of my hair. Thank you.
Very fine soft hair. A lot of frizz. Too much conditioner weighs the hair down. Trying to find lightweight products. I like using Bumble & Bumble, Ouidad and Inner sense.
My biggest curly hair frustration is finding the right products to get even curl definition. Protein does help so that's why I'd like to try this product.
This video is perfect for me. I have medium-high porosity 2b-3a hair but it's fine so my biggest struggle is to get enough moisture without weighing it down, especially right now because I'm recovering from heat damage from last winter.
Hello, Ms. Gena! My biggest problem with my hair is that it snaps off and falls out very easily. It seems like all I have to do is touch my hair and I break it-though it’s much better than it used to be, thank goodness 😅. Thank you for making content about styling low density hair; I didn’t know my hair could be fine, low density and still be pretty :)
OH MY! Your curls are more gorgeous as the years go on! My biggest challenge is that my gray hairs cause so much frizzy like looking strands that don't curl well. I'm not good at hand curling and my hair doesn't seem to hold the twirl. The curls are thin because my hair is thin on the sides. Aging has hurt my curls which is discouraging especially because I only found out what to do with curly hair 8 years ago. My hair is like yours only a 2/3 on left and 2 on right. I've found my hair does better with Curlsmith and I went crazy buying so many products to try. I do have the products you mentioned so I'm going to review again and do what you say. Thanks for your advice!
My biggest curl problem right now is making all my textures happy at the same time. Lol. Like you, I have coarse and fine strands with a big cowlick in the back.
I’m new to your channel. I have really enjoyed learning about curly hair products. I have naturally salt and pepper color hair. For years I have struggled with products causing my black hair to look greasy and my gray to look dry. This has been very encouraging for me as I always dreaded wash day. Thanks
Thanks for the video. Great info. I have always wanted to try this deep conditioner but it has Sweet Almond Oil which I can not use. My biggest struggle is the Autumn shedding this year. Hope you a great week.
My biggest hair concern is that I have thick hair but it gets over-moisturized very easily. I love trying lighter weight conditioners with proteins because they help my curls spring up
My biggest struggle is dealing with the rainy season here in already humid Houston, TX as we're going through the transition to what we consider "winter," here. It's humid and wet, and then it gets dry so I'm constantly checking the weather to try to figure out what products to use for the day.
So far I am REALLY having good luck with MIELLE. I didn't see those listed. Have you tried it? Its affordable and has made leaps and bounds with rehydrating and fixing my severely dry brittle damaged hair. Im prolly like a 3a or 3b.. not entirely sure i actually didnt even know i had curly hair until a few years ago. The MIELLE ive been using is actually for type 4 hair but my hair seems to be loving it and thriving. Fingers crossed this one stays consistent seasonally as well.
My biggest struggle is finding that balance between being too moisturizing and getting protein in. I use products that have protein but my hair still seems to be very soft. I stopped using Ouidad gel because I think it was too moisturizing and just tried the AG liquid lotion based on your reco. Today was first day, but I did have great results! It is still a bit soft, but still looks good. Thank you for all of your videos, I always get excited when I see a new one in my feed 😊
Love your videos!!! I'm a newbie..only learned my hair isn't straight a month ago so my struggle is pretty much anything, haha! Your videos are so insightful, so thank you!!!!
Love your content Gena! My biggest struggle is consistency and not having wonky curls after brush styling. Every day is a wave/curl adventure lol. I hope Briogeo makes a shampoo that smells like cake to match the conditioner! Thanks for sharing so much great advice with us each week, I look forward to your videos each weekend 😊

Thanks for doing this giveaway. I would say my biggest struggle is thinning hair because of hormones and now most products weigh down my curls.
My biggest problem is my hair is thinning in the back top area and I have to try to cover areas so they don’t show. My curls look very similar to yours and I have low density hair even though it used to be super thick when I was younger. I have been watching your channel for many years and I always learn so much!
As always you coming through with the much needed info and products! I have always struggled to find a good hair mask thanks for this! My biggest struggle as of lately is keeping my volume to last past day 2 😔 my curl definition is there but it just falls flat
Yay!! So my hair is low density and mostly fine. Lately, I've only been doing shampoo, conditioner, and ouidad gel. Sometimes my hair gets a little dry every couple of months. But if I add just a pinch too much, it weighs down my hair. I have been experimenting with some products and the Briogeo deep conditioner is one of the few that is great with my hair... but I have to find a shampoo I want to pair it with. Another struggle, well not so much, is finding products that smell strong. lol I love smelly stuff.
My biggest concern right now is trying to use a conditioner for moisture, and when I rinse, my wet hair feels like straw, not silky like seaweed. I've tried Maui Moisture (pink) and Curl Talk. I appreciate your education and this video is very timely!
Gena, you always have good tips/suggestions with all different types of hair, which I appreciate. Thank you for taking the time and sharing. All right! Now for the give way answer for the Limited Edition Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Mask, Vanilla Birthday Cake scented. I am already a subscriber (Check). My biggest curly hair struggle is finding the best way to reduce frizz and a dull look to my styles, mostly the dull look. I believe you have a video for both which I may need to go back to review.
My biggest curly hair struggle is always refresh days. I’m better at it than I used to be, but by day three or four it’s always in a ponytail, clip or bun. I use a satin pillowcase, but I’ve yet to make the jump to a buff or bonnet which I know will probably help.
My hair struggle is dryness I don't know when to use moisture or protein. I could benefit from the mask it has both and I bet it smells good enough to eat. I won't be eating it but my hair will be.
Great video! I struggle with a straight crown wavy mids and curly ends. I tend to twist my curls to style them but that's hard on my hair. I have very fine hair but with medium to high density so It's unruly and gets tons of fairy knots. I struggle with my curls just falling out whether it's too weighed down and moisturized or it's just too soft and turns barely wavy. Protein really helps but the non oil one sounds interesting too.
Since I li e in a humid area humidity is biggest problem let I have been trying different deep conditioners to see what works. Also since I’m pregnant my curl pattern has change a little bit.
I only recently started embracing my curly hair (and I'm in my early 60s) about 3 months ago, but I have been REALLY struggling for the past couple of weeks. Frizz, stringy curls after diffusing, weak curl cast, over moisturized, under moisturized-I can't find that happy medium. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong lately but I do appreciate all your advice and product comparisons. I hope to be able to book a curl coaching session early next year because this gal really needs help! 🙄
My biggest curly hair struggle is impulse buying.
Me too !! So overwhelming lol
OMG...I'm a product junkie. I try to hold off and tell myself "I don't need it" but you know... lol

I have multiple struggles: keeping my curls hydrated, getting curls to last more than 1 day, and and doing a refresh that isn't crazy frizzy
Mine is the same way!!
Me too!
My biggest struggle is consistent results. What works one day does not work the next, even when I do the exact same steps.
My biggest struggle as a fine, low density wavy girl is that the top layer of my hair has more damage... but just like you said in the video, a lot of deep conditioners are way too heavy for my hair! Thank you for sharing these tips!

Try Innersense I create curl memory! Super firm hold (like start with 1-2 pumps) but lightweight and bouncy still when you use a reasonable amoun5
I appreciate how you break down the how's & why's of products. It's really helped me in selecting appropriate products overall. I think my biggest issue is finding the right balance of moisture & hydration.

Thanks for the info! My biggest struggle is styling my bangs/front area.
I really appreciate the way you break down and simplify hair masks. It’s complicated enough having to manage curly hair on a daily basis! 😊
I really struggle with this issue. I think I tend to use too much product. Thanks for the tips!
Great video, Gena! My biggest struggle with my hair right now is keeping the hold especially on the upper layers of my hair. I have tried stronger gels and while it’s helped it doesn’t last all day.
Me too!
I love anything with high protein and alternate with seriously moisturizing 💞

My biggest struggle with my curly wavy right now is fridge when I diffuse! Air drying is fine but takes all day. The second I try to diffuse and poof. All curls turned to frizz.

Curl smith I used them when I clarify my hair
I’ve learned so much from you! I’d say my struggle that continues is dryness after not washing for a few days (especially the ends).
My biggest struggles with my curls lately have been dry curls and losing curl definition after day 2. I know I definitely need a deep conditioner to help moisturize my hair better.

My biggest struggle is flat hair. I cannot seem to create volume on the top of my head. I have more wavy curly hair. Thank you for the comparison of these conditioners in your blog post.
My biggest curly hair struggle is SECTIONING and finger coiling. Ugh, so much time and effort. I impulse buy, too! 🤣Thanks Gena!
Me too!! I swear I have watched so many sectioning and finger coiling videos and I say I can do it I can do it and then I’m just there struggling lol
My biggest challenge is balancing moisture and hold, especially as we go into the dryer months.
My main struggle is lack of curl clumps. Thanks for all you do!

I used to use mayonnaise as a deep conditioner when I was young in my 20’s. It worked really well.
My biggest curly hair frustration is finding the right products to get even curl definition. Protein does help so that's why I'd like to try this product.
Thank you for this video. I have very fine hair and my hair usually looks stringy. Hoping one of these works!
This video is perfect for me. I have medium-high porosity 2b-3a hair but it's fine so my biggest struggle is to get enough moisture without weighing it down, especially right now because I'm recovering from heat damage from last winter.
Silver curly low density.
I use CS ouidad .
Love try Dove or Briogeo

I struggle with dry curls. Love your channel ❤❤❤
My biggest struggle is knowing what to do with it and get it the way I want it to look and having the time. Just started to use products.
My biggest struggle is keeping the volume in my hair. The volume gel by inner sense has been the best so far.
My biggest curl problem right now is making all my textures happy at the same time. Lol. Like you, I have coarse and fine strands with a big cowlick in the back.
I’m new to your channel. I have really enjoyed learning about curly hair products. I have naturally salt and pepper color hair. Thank you for another informative video! I appreciate any and all curly advice. ❤
I am addicted to buying and trying new products. So ofcourse I want to try the briogio birthday mask!! Love a protein mask!! Great video!
Thanks for the video. Great info. I have always wanted to try this deep conditioner but it has Sweet Almond Oil which I can not use. My biggest struggle is the Autumn shedding this year. Hope you a great week.

I struggle with getting crown volume. I'm getting better at covering my cowlicks though! Thanks for your informative videos ❤
I am new on my wavy hair journey, and figuring out how to refresh day 2 hair.
Frizz and definition! Love your info and this is a great give away! XOXO
As always you coming through with the much needed info and products! I have always struggled to find a good hair mask thanks for this!

Volume!!! Hence the protein!
My hair struggle is dryness I don't know when to use moisture or protein. I could benefit from the mask it has both and I bet it smells good enough to eat. I won't be eating it but my hair will be.
Have a wonderful week!
My biggest curly hair struggle is frizz. Oh, the frizz! Wet frizz, dry frizz, day 1, day 3 doesn't matter, it's always frizzy! But I love the curls!
I have wavy/curly, high porosity, very low density hair😢. My struggles are mainly volume and curl retention. Thanks for the giveaway ❤
Right now my curly hair struggle is finding the right product combo for high humidity
Stumbled across your channel and I'm getting a lot from it!
Since I li e in a humid area humidity is biggest problem let I have been trying different deep conditioners to see what works. Also since I’m pregnant my curl pattern has change a little bit.
A curly hair struggle for me is making appropriate adjustments based on seasonal changes.
Happy I found your channel! Game changer😊
