The current administration is patting itself on the back using rigged data and financial propaganda as the soft landing narrative precedes the likely next recession.
Yet more accurate data points to job participation levels still not near their pre 2020 covid levels.
Some interesting job data rigging points to consider:
- 10 out of the last 11 jobs reports revised lower
- 25% of jobs gains in 2023 were ultimately revised away
- Government jobs accounted for 25% of December 2023 job gains
- Part-time jobs UP 762,000, full-time jobs DOWN 1.5 million in December
- Full-time job gains are FLAT for 2023, while part-time is up sharply
- Rigged Inflation earnings are still -3% BELOW 2021 levels and likely worse as the fiat financial powers that be consistently underreport real inflation by a factor of 2 to 3 consistently

The data presented was very good, your example explains things well. Just like inflation. It was too high, well we will just change how we calculate it.
And don’t forget the quickly growing multiple job phenomena. My three kids can’t do it anymore with just one job…
Much of what Ms. Tyson said is accurate some of it I question. Several points of opinion: 1) I don’t believe China isn’t interested in becoming a global hegemon. 2) Ms. Tyson is a career bankster, and proud of her accomplishments as a bankster, why trust her now? I suppose I better buy her new book to find out. 3) My position is that there will be more war, not less. 4) Multicurrency Mercantilism is far from a guaranteed success, but I do understand the world’s desire not to be held captive by the U.S. dollar.

I always thought the difference between capitalism and mercantileism was that the system of Mercantilism viewed wealth accumulation for a given economy as coming at the expense of foreign economies, so barriers to foreign trade were put in place to protect the domestic economy. The idea was that if England bought Spanish wares, Spain was becoming enriched at the expense of England, so England should impose tariffs on Spanish wares to 'keep the wealth' in England.
Capitalism, on the contrary, embraced the idea that free trade was mutually beneficial to all parties. A rising tide lifts all boats; The wealthier Spain becomes, the better the quality of life in England becomes.
American people are suffering big time, prepare for the unthinkable

TBF a big driver of the BTFP usage is that banks can take a loan from the fed then turn around and park that same money in the repo facility and get a risk free return.

Banks would never fail if they would stop paying the people on the to of the payroll hundreds of millions of dollars to sit behind a desk and try to figure out how the government can bail them out. Stop the lending of money to people they know can't pay it back. There are so many car loans in default there aren't enough repo men to go get them all. House loans in default. Credit card debt and so on and so on.

China is buying gold but as an American, I see a need to buy silver because it’s money and way undervalued. It’s also a commodity which I think forms the foundation for the price. This duality of silver will cause a demand squeeze that will take silver above $100 an ounce and eventually settling above the $50 all time high, putting in a new floor. Where it goes from there is up to the world financial community. That’s my vision of silver in the next few years. Keep stacking!
