Using staples to attach elements of the compression speaker enclosure is definitely a bad idea... Glued seams on top and bottom could help a bit. Bit this video is very good showing how sharp tools and well-dried wood can let the builder enjoy the work!

Nice build. I remember the late 80ies when i was a teenager, i always wanted to have those fostex speakers to build my own speakers but could not afford them. We had a diy speaker shop in town that had those full range drivers in a bass refles enclosure and they sounded amazing. Okay, they also had a version of the Klipschorn with fostex drivers which was a bit more impressive. ;)
Отличная работа! И отличные динамики. Жаль не рассказано подробно о кроссовере. Увидел только что там используются электролитические конденсаторы, что не очень хорошо сказывается на звуке. Попробуйте поменять их на пленочные.
расположив динамики поверх доски, перекрываешь вентиляционные окна динамика = душишь их слегка (а может и не слегка, смотря насколько перекрывает). Лучше динамики внутрь крепить, тогда и стенка работает как рупор, если фрезером выбрать фаску как надо.

When you have tools its superjoy to made things like this! Why you didnt made a "bed" for the speackers, at the end they could be in line with the flatness of the panel! Cool video! 🙂
Congratulations for a nice job. I love the dedication and attention to details. I only have one question in regards to your design. In my humble opinion, With all those woofers and perfect sealing, don’t you think you have to much air compressed with no way out? I believe you could achieve deeper and richer low ranges if could add a small wind tunnel/maze to release compressed air with the low range waves. Just a humble opinion.
Вам бы получше изучить вопрос, тогда не будет таких вопросов.У него получилась акустическая панель, где все динамики работают в одном объёме и сглаживают неравномерность АЧХ .Но я бы сделал наоборот - поставил бы среднечастотные, тогда появилась бы панорама звука,и уменьшились искажения в среднечастотном диапазоне,а нч динамик можно применить с датчиком движения подвеса, тогда объём можно уменьшить в 3 раза и искажения тоже.
Another cringe inducing solder job. Also all the rear facing etc etc, doesn't it sound muddled. In my house atleast it will bounce off everything and sound like a mess. So much so sometimes the caliberation mic's get confused. But very very good build of cabinet. And are the woofers/full rangers all sealed back ? If so, They dont care about cabinet volume or porting.

So I was watching someone build a speaker box and then I saw your video, you did way better than him and the music used in the video is also way better, even the sound quality is better
Дерево, особенно сосна не самый лучший материал для акустики. Фанера или MDF гораздо лучше поглощают вибрацию звука. Эти АС будут "подпевать". Да и НЧ динамики, направленные в угол комнаты крайне неудачный вариант, стоячие волны/резонансы обеспечены. А сама работа выполнена великолепно, просто загляденье!
Actually no... you will have smoother bass and better transient response with a sealed box. You might get MORE bass with ported, but it will have a resonance, and time delay, and faster roll-off below the port tuning... so no, not smoother bass. Plus, he's corner loading the low end, so we have NO idea how this design really sounds in the room. I'd like to hear it though!
Interesting indeed, but how practical perhaps is more important question. So presumably the speaker is to be in the middle of a room? Do I miss something with such a design....

Maybe you don't have a HIFI stereo system and you haven't heard a sound from this kind of system. We have small speakers similar to this one uses small speaker but they sound great.

このスピーカは、かなり音がキレイ！upしてくれて、あんがとー！
懐かしいです。
発表当時に作製しました。とても細かな音もしっかりと再生して、お気に入りでした。
これは、R-8？ですね、私もR-8a（中域→ｺｰﾗﾙ4A-71）を作ったことあります。一時期、長岡氏のﾘﾌｧﾚﾝｽｽﾋﾟｰｶｰであったと記憶しています。

長岡先生考案のマトリックス接続した3チャンネルステレオスピーカーシステムですね。
ウーハーユニットのエッジ交換から始まるのがイイですね。
この動画を見ているPCのスピーカーがFOSTEXなので、それらしく聴こえました。
マトリックス接続はアンプを選びますので注意が必要ですね。
マイナス接続が共用可能かの確認が、、、

FE106ΣもFW100も30年以上前のユニットですよね。よく大事に残されていたと思います。
昔、長岡さんのメインスピーカー（D7）の両脇のレコードラックの上にこのスピーカーが置いてあったのを思い出しました。
今改めて聞かせていただいて、FEはどう料理しても紙臭いなと再認識しました。
ESとかEΣは大分招集されていますが。

Hmm... those woofers are all 4ohms wired in parallel. That will be 1 ohm for the bass drivers. Hope your amp holds up.

BOSEのスピーカーがフロント1対リヤ9だったのに対してもう少しフロントを重視したいため、この設計になりましたね？
その頃東急ハンズでカットしてもらって制作したが、それとは違いますよ。

Why is there no port? Bass will reflect off of the corner wall, so a down firing port would allow smoother bass.
