Here is a live version when she sang at short notice, in a concert for Luciano Pavarotti who was in a fix because Caballe had suddenly cancelled.. To me her middle register is perfectly correct, and should you wish for less vibrato therein, the freedom of the vocal line would be eliminated causing all kinds of havoc in the top register.
