I first saw The Chameleons UK with the original line-up with Dave Fielding (replaced by Steven) and the late John Levers (drums) on the highly anticipated US 1987 tour after it had been canclelled twice. The Mighty Lemondrops were the opening act, long broken up but check them out sometime, I think you'll dig them.
Just saw these guys at the Devil's Arse in Derbyshire in July. Incredible performance. Saw the The Mighty Lemondrops in the 80's too. A fun act to watch .

Does anyone know if the guitarist is the same fella whom played in Chameleons VOX a decade ago during the filmed American radio session - was it at Seattle ? i guess this guy looks much younger - it’s sad Dave couldn’t be reintegrated but that’s life & he’s doing a grand job …Thankyou for sharing ❤️from nr Bournemouth SW England 😁👍
