I got my first paying pressure washer customer! I also had to start thinking about other options when the rental pressure washer broke yet again.

You shouldn't be using this kind of pressure washer for driveways, there are round-shaped pressure washers on wheels, made for driveways. It'd go 10 times faster and avoid splashing all over the place.

For stone inlay driveways you should use a nossle cover/hood so you dont get all the sand from between the stones.

Impressive work! This type of work will keep building. People will come back in the future if you do a good job. You can also incentivise return customers by getting them on a contract. Like one-off is £200 but if you sign up for a repeat maintenance clean every 6 months for example I'll do it for £150. Like how people book cleaners and painters.
Make sure you also keep track of all your customers and keep notes on them, like location, property size, how long it took you to clean etc. Over time you'll build up a database that you can just keep rotating through.
Also explore referral offers. You can incentivise referrals and repeat business by doing a £25 off your clean for every referral you send me + £25 off the price for the person you refer.
I suspect you'll be running out of time quickly, so don't underestimate the value of time-saving investments. Like a cover over the nozzle of the pressure washer so you don't cover the whole area in gunk which you then spend an hour cleaning up.
    Love seeing the hustle!

You should absolutely have had everything you needed before starting jobs like this. Spare fuel, possibly a van, shovels, right nozzles, bin bags, brush etc. prices should be per square feet of driveway + potentially cost of fuel needed + cost of water if your using your own water tank + cost of any other equipment and resources you need for the job. Keep going!

Me and a friend decided to start a pressure washing company, it took around a month to really get going, but now we are making around $150-$200 an hour each, and we have about 2-3 jobs a week, it’s starting to be enough work to be full time gigs for us. My tip would be this, it’s gonna start slowly, but if you keep advertising for about a month you’ll begin to see the fruits of your labor, and after around two months you’ll begin to really see the potential

You work so hard, but you need an idea that pays you well with minimum cost/mental-physical energy outlay. So, Uber Eats is not it…
If gamble on pressure washer pays off it’s an asset. Is making money, not spending it (minus fuel), once recouped cost. One job could make this a good investment.
Is there something online you can do with no real expenses but can sell for a reasonable cost in addition?
I still think of you under the previous RUclips name.

I think if it was me, I would just be honest and say I have just started up, so misjudged the situation and had unexpected costs. Here is a picture of a drive I just done for x, feel free to ask for a testimonial. You earned that lead.
You got four free days, do some minor discount for her because of your error. But, not too cheap. You’re still learning atm…
Can only say no…. If no, lessons learned.

You are paying for the work space with your business money, shouldn't you be paying for it with the RUclips money? Seems a bit unfair to not count any of the RUclips income BUT count some of the costs? Maybe more realistic to remove the work space you rent from the outgoings? Or add in SOME of the RUclips money to cover that cost?

    • @hennnnerz
      @hennnnerz 3 месяца назад

Anyone else doing this wouldn't be renting a work space for their side hustle.

This would be tricky, because he won't know how much he'll get from RUclips month to month. Then he'd only get that money each month. His current median monthly RUclips income is 162.50. According to social blade.

It's cheating if you can just go massively in debt to get the resources you need to then make money off of those investments. Also I like how he said using a car in the beginning because it was cheating (?), but now he's using a car to transport his pressure washer lol.
