Hey guys! I tried to include a good mix of deck building, combos, gameplay and general life in this one. However, I wasn’t really sure if I put too much ‘real life’ in with all of the birthday footage. Let me know how you feel about the balance and if you feel I should be making any creative changes :) I would also like to note that I’m going to attempt to stop combining multiple weeks of footage into individual videos in an attempt to make this series weekly again. I know I’ve said that before but sometimes these weeks just fit together so naturally and my film-maker brain says “make it one cohesive story!”… But really, the vlogs are supposed to be that anyway. So I’m also curious, would you happily trade 25-30 minute bi-weekly episodes for 13-15 minute weekly episodes? Let me know and as always, I hope you’re doing well. Stay safe and feeling healthy
Ruggles it’s totally fine if you don’t upload each week. As long as u upload a video, it’ll make my day just like it is rn lol. So far I’m enjoying your video! Keep it up!
No Ruggles, I want to thank you for doing all this for us and the community as a whole. Sharing amazing content as always and helping us relive our Yu-Gi-Oh spirit that we almost lost during the pandemic. Also that comment I had on your recap, that was really nice of you to reply. I'm now hosting my own little tournaments with my friends and helping them with their own decks. I've now found a new deck that I really love, Sharks. They recently got new support in Eternity Code and I just want to use them to their full strength. You should give them a try. Whatever you do onwards will always be worth watching. Thanks again Dude👍
I think we're all thinking this but I want to thank you. This weekly series has helped a lot with my sanity due to this pandemic. Keep up the good work and never forget that we appreciate you.
You honestly have made me enjoy yugioh more and found a new love for the game Ruggles. You have done so much without asking for anything in return. You're truly a great person. Thank you for everything. I'm so glad to hear you're having a great time coming back into yugioh! Honestly this community has been great for me too especially with my friends making yugioh these past few years one of the best things that could happen. I miss my locals a lot since I can't see any of my yugioh friends and playtest in person. Even though this year has thrown a couple curve balls its way finding the things that make you happy have to be the best things that can happen. Happy birthday man! Glad to hear you're turning 27! Me being 22 turning 23 in June makes me feel old especially during the quarantine. GOOD NEWS UPDATE!!! I found a new deck to play that has that interacting feel to it. I've been working and fixing up a Junk Doppel Deck for months now!
New video with a new deck, you love to see it! Ruggles you actually made me remember how fun building decks was and I started making "modern" version of decks I loved in the past and it's been really fun!
Happy Belated birthday, this is my favorite series in all of RUclips, it always makes me smile when I see the notification pop up for a new video, I always have a ruggles video playing while I’m playing yu gi oh! Keep up the good work, love the edits!

Once again another fantastic episode. A huge smile came across my face when your package was of a mayakashi engine. I had pulled the same cards out of my binder the night prior to you uploading. I love building competitive deck that still utilize fun cards to tech in that separate your build from the rest. Keep up the great work bud!
I have been thinking about the invoked engine in the eldlich deck and looks like I will be giving it a go seeing how well the deck has been doing, can't wait for next week, your videos always make an appearance at our locals and they have inspired so many players who quit to come back, it really is a great thing to see. Keep up the fantastic work and on behalf of all of the players at Grim Dice and team GY, Happy Birthday. All the best, Ash
Still waiting for that updated HERO list Ruggles also a blast to see your videos and that bright positivity of yours Can’t wait time see what you’ll do with Orcust! 🤩🙏🏼
Thanks man! I'm still not sure what direction I want to take heros but I am thinking about it :) As for Orcust... oh man, there are just so many alluring builds, we'll see what happens lol
Ruggles I joined about a year ago and I just want to say thank you for encapsulating how it feels to join the game and nowadays and learn all the new fun decks and wacky mechanics
Happy belated birthday! Awesome vid as always, the production value is through the roof! I'm still gonna push that you use your art to customize EDOpro just because I think it will improve the aesthetic of the videos even more. And to those of you who decide to dislike....who hurt you? XD
Throwing Dragoon into my Dark Magician deck. Sure, he's hilariously splashable into other/better decks, but I've been waiting for DM to get a crazy boss monster, and I can't wait to stomp my friends with em!
My best friend his over tonight and we just got done playing some games. My heroes did amazing even though it's just a budget build. My friend used his generators and it was a great game. And I love seeing new content from you. You are one of my favorite yugituber
Hey man, happy belated birthday. 27 isnt too bad so it should treat you well lol. Thank you for all the time and effort you out into your content and bringing us your amazing videos. The way you inspire people and promote yugioh still to this day is incredible.
While trying to get back into this game i found your channel around episode 1 and i can say watching your videos helped a lot for me and my friends to get back into the game.
Honestly, this series and the channel on a whole inspired me to get back into the game. You are making some amazing content, that I find myself re-watching because it is a view into a really positive community and a great outlook on the game. Keep up the great work!
Man, that means a lot! Thanks for joining us and being a positive force here in the comments. You guys and interactions like this really make the hours of editing worth it :)
I dont even play yugi oh (I play magic) I just love the yugi oh content creators on youtube, and the quality of the videos. It's so interesting seeing other card games and how different they are
@@Ruggles117 honestly no there is nothing like what you guys do. There are no magic series where someone starts magic from scratch, from what I can find, there are mainly deck techs like bad boy gaming or merchant do, or there are just gameplay videos like command zone or muddsta. Those are great but I like the change of watching someone grow and learn about the game they love. And your amazing editing really helps.
I got into watching yugi oh content from revzcard's and nymphim's series about starting yugioh from scratch with seald product. I then discovered cimoooo and sammy who have amazing personalities and entertainment value. Then your videos got recommended to me and that's how I started watching you. Honestly I think magic creators could really learn from you guys!
Edit: Also happy birthday! Top tier editing as always. Some really cool matches, can safely say I was not expecting to see Nephthys show up again. Enjoyed the video a lot :) These videos helped inspire me to get myself and some of my friends back into Yugioh, albeit none of us are running particularly competitive decks. We do have variety through. Between us we've recently been building Frightfurs, Pendulum Magicians, Ancient Gears, Machina, and personally, I've been trying desperately to make a Vendread deck work, but the cards are hard to work with :')
Happy late birthday man, great to see you keeping your spirits high even during quarantine. Can't wait for next episode, hope those Mayakashi cards get put to good use (one of my favorite archetypes).

Sometimes I feel you're like Kaiba with every card available at your disposal LOL I don't think you should ever worry about putting too much 'real life' in your vids, it's one of the things that really adds that extra layer of depth to your videos. For me personally, being a fan of you and your videos, it's nice that not only do you share your love for the game through your videos, but that you also open up and share a bit of your personal life. It really helps people gravitate towards you as a person and build an interpersonal connection through a video, which isn't easy to do, but you do it very well! THAT MEGALITH NEPTHYS DECK LOOKS FIRE!!! Holyyy, I wanna try it out LOL, that's easily the most interesting list I've seen this format. Great stuff as per usual, can't wait for the next ep! :D
Happy birthday Ruggles, I am glad to see this series still going, and that you still enjoy the game! I hope that you continue to... Also, I have a fun challenge for you for one of these vlogs. When it comes out, make a deck out of three of the sacred beasts structure deck. You don't have to, just something to spice things up, you know?
Haha, oh man, I thought I had a long break after quitting in the 2009. With that said, the games still super fun. It can be a little different but decks like Eldlich play a lot like the older decks you're probably more familiar with. I also feel like a lot of the fun growing up came from the interactions with friends and that's also still a thing. I guess this is my long way of saying I'd recommend giving it a try. Having something to look forward to every Saturday has made me a lot happier in general :)
Ruggles Ah man!! I miss those Saturday tournaments. I miss the game. I tried getting my friends back into but they aren’t convinced yet. Now we are all married with kids. We won tournaments back then and it was such great memories but it seems the Meta now is such fast paced....
Thanks man! I do intend to start streaming at some point this year. While I'm not entirely sure what that content will look like I'll probably have viewer games :)
This is probably the first time this has ever happened, but I JUST NOW discovered you through a smaller yugituber (named TCG Cardcast) and he was doing a hunger games simulation with a bunch of Yugioh you tubers in it, and you made it to like... top 3? And I was like “who is this ruggles dude?” I came by, checked ya out. God dang am I NOT disappointed, this artistic art style is soooooo enticing. I love these!~
Oh nice, have to love when things like that just work out :) Did you see Farfas new video where he talks about the old YGO commercials? Pretty hilarious stuff as always!
@@Ruggles117 Hey I just watched that video an hour ago, very funny indeed : ) but I was talking more about the old OCG commercials, especifically during the original series as I find very interesting to see how the game was advertise during that era in contrast to today. Not mention that the commercials for the TCG used footage from their OCG equivalents (I too was surprised that Invasion of Chaos had a TV commercial).
@@TheDZone24 Oh neat! I haven't checked out any of the OCG commercials so I appreciate that you brought this to my attention. I'll definitely have some fun with it :)
The new dragoon card that’s coming out I think is awesome and dark magicians already had some good synergy with red-eyes so I hope to make a pure version of the deck! Glad to hear as well you guys are still doing your local tournaments despite everything going on
Hi Rugs!!!!! Always happy to see your videos and as always you inspired me, thanks to you I build a Eldich deck and I would use it on a tournament soon and I really fun to use and HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🤲🤲🤲🎉🎉
hey ruggals keep up the good work my man always love watching your videos lol ive kinda been out of the recent game and stuck in goat format so these vids help keep me somewhat up to date.
Definitely agree with the Adelantado one-off, it gives the deck a more interesting vibe and a bit of personality, even. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but as a guy that always finds a way to put Utopia in his decks, I find your choice quite remarkable :) Edit: Happy birthday!
Dude! Much appreciated! I was actually just watching and really enjoying your video with Jesse earlier today. You make those Generators look really good ;)
Haha, yeah, they're pretty neat! I tested a build with them last Saturday and while I don't think they're the most competitive they are certainly a lot of fun :)
@@Ruggles117 I was tryna to figure out how to play them with my current Zombie control build, but they heavily revolve around their own archetype. Interesting stuff! Haha
OMG ALSO HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY!!!! Sucks it couldn’t be celebrated as much as I’m sure you and your family/friends wanted but I hope it was still a good day for you overall!
Haha, thanks, Aidon! Initially we intended to do a big Halo 3 LAN at the shop but with everything going on that wasn't going to happen :P With that said, my girlfriend Maija and I had a great relaxed day and in the end I was really happy :)

Yugioh was such an amazing childhood. I been debating on coming back but haven’t played since Yata days....
Do it, now during quarantine you got the time to relearn all the stuff ;)
Happy belated birthday! Honestly love the video and must admit... Kinda jealous when you whipedout that Savage lol. Hope you had a blast!
Happy belated birthday bro, really loving the series. Always looking forward to a new episode and your positivity 😁👊
Glad to see I’m not the only one pumped about dragoon! Planning on using it in my dark magician deck!
You just a fun dude to hang out with, wish we will be able play on a platform.
Thank you for your positivity
Thanks man! I do intend to start streaming at some point this year. While I'm not entirely sure what that content will look like I'll probably have viewer games :)
I just found this channel and the editing is so good, I love it!
I love these!~
Haha, that's awesome! I think I know the video you're talking about. Was I on a team with Triff and did we kind of accidentally ended ourselves? LOL
Ruggles No I think you were on a Team with Nyhmnim, I think it’s cuz you guys have similar content
I binge watched your whole series and have been waiting for you to make another this past week and it’s finally here😭
Really going to try to make these weekly again for you guys :)
Happy birthday mate wish this channel will grow more larger
Happy belated birthday. Definitely need to try out eldlich for myself. Looking forward to the next one man!
I was talking with my brother about old Yu-Gi-Oh commercials when I saw the notification. Great Episode as always : )
Another classic Ryan. Good stuff brother. I'm always down for more content, even if it's a bit shorter, if the quality remains the same :D
Thanks for the support, David! Regardless of the length the quality should just get better and better ;)
Finally a new episode and it's a great company when u build a deck and hear Ruggles talking about ygo
I finally got my ruggles shirt in the mail today! Horray! Love it!
Oh man, I love to hear it! Mine is holding up very nicely so you should be pretty happy with it long term :)
The new dragoon card that’s coming out I think is awesome and dark magicians already had some good synergy with red-eyes so I hope to make a pure version of the deck! Glad to hear as well you guys are still doing your local tournaments despite everything going on
Ruggles is one of the most wholesome guys out there. Keep it up man, every day with a video from you is a good day for me
I always look forward to your videos bro! BLESS UP! 🙏🏽💯
Happy birthday 🥳
Hi Rugs!!!!! Always happy to see your videos and as always you inspired me, thanks to you I build a Eldich deck and I would use it on a tournament soon and I really fun to use and HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🤲🤲🤲🎉🎉
Its so cool that your videos are both fun and competetive
Thanks man! I do work pretty hard to find that balance :)
I'm planning on crying when Dragoon drops, unless I pull it, then I'll abuse it 😂
Haha, I feel like a lot of people feel that way
It's a promo I believe so super accessible
If it's a promo then that makes me feel better, though I did buy about 6 2019 tins and not one nibiru, I'm glad I pulled dark ruler no more now though
Another fantastic video as always! Love this series sm! Keep up your amazing work, and happy belated! 🎉🎊
Some really nice b roll! Super high quality content
hey ruggals keep up the good work my man always love watching your videos lol ive kinda been out of the recent game and stuck in goat format so these vids help keep me somewhat up to date.
Love the videos man keep it up you'll be at a mil in no time
I'm a yugioh player from Italy and I love this videos
Thanks man, I hope you're being extra safe and feeling alright over there
Happy belated birthday! Hope being 27 brings more fun times to come.
Definitely agree with the Adelantado one-off, it gives the deck a more interesting vibe and a bit of personality, even. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but as a guy that always finds a way to put Utopia in his decks, I find your choice quite remarkable :)
Edit: Happy birthday!
AMAZING CONTENT AS ALWAYS RUGGLES. ME AND THE BOYS ON STREAM SAY HI AND THAT WE LOVE YOUR POSITIVITY AND ATTITUDE!
Dude! Much appreciated! I was actually just watching and really enjoying your video with Jesse earlier today. You make those Generators look really good ;)
Mayakashi's? Interesting tech choices haha. Great stuff, Ruggles! Always intrigued with your adventure!
Haha
Leaving a comment because I love the content and want to raise Ruggles CPM!!
You guys and things like this make a big difference! Thanks, Justin!
Ruggles glad to hear it turned out well!!!! Best wishes for the year to come and can’t wait to see what else you’ll bring to the yugioh community!!!
I clicked faster than how fast malicious bane arrived from the mail!
(Oh wait, that’s not that hard to beat 😭😂)
Bane be the slowest moving piece of cardboard of all time 😂
Ruggles That's a fact! (Btw I DM'd you on Insta!)
Congrats 🎊 happy birthday 🎂🎈🎁, Those edits have Always been amazing, but in this video they were clean
Many thanks man! It was a pretty great day, especially considering it was spent inside :)
You make amazing content, keep it up
You inspire me to get back to yugioh too👍
Wonderful once again ruggles!!! Can we see some Rokket, dragon link play?!!
