pastor Kim, I pray that God uses you to reach out to many gospel artists who had been granted great singing talent from the Lord yet turned their back from Jesus. I hope God open more doors for you to operate in this kind of ministry and I do believe that Whitney Houston felt so lucky to have a friend like you who loves her dearly. May our Lord Jesus uses you more and more for His glory. Gbu pastor Kim. (a fans of Whitney from Indonesia)

She didn't say the whole verse but it actually says "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and Lean not unto your own understanding. Acknowledge him in all your ways, and He will direct your paths". Essentially she is saying that Whitney relied unto her own understanding and did not acknowledge God (meaning love Him more) before giving into the worldly things. Whitney was not a bad person, everyone that has ever crossed paths with her will agree with that. But just like any of us, every day God & the devil challenges us in our minds, in our decision making. For Whitney, God let her battle end. The world will never understand why He ended it the way He did, but ultimately she is in a much better place. People who die young are called home because God decided that they can now join him in afterlife. If you're still alive then God is just giving you a chance to show him that you deserve a place by His side in everlasting life.

You ve got to love yourself and respect yourself first and then love others, including God

I agree with somethings you said Kim however, it is easy to say what should have been done. When you say 'Acknowledge him so he can direct your paths," that is a very difficult thing for even the devout Christian to do on a daily basis and that includes you. Everything you do or have done isn't Godly. And how many people do you know love God more than themselves including you. What you should have said is she didn't love herself and couldn't find a way out of her torture because she relied only on what she was taught and told that prayer was the only thing she needed to win that battle and that wasn't true.
She needed treatment and therapy and to be left alone for money sake. She needed years of recovery because I feel there was something deep eating away at her. She was too responsible for everyone else so she had to keep bringing in the money and those people that she fed and clothed (like yourself) don't even have the decency to speak respectfully.

Yeah. Honestly, Kim Burrell(and so many others) can't even push away an extra plate of food. So I doubt she would've done any better had she been addicted to something that alters your brain chemistry as much as cocaine. Quiet as it's kept, the Bible lumps drunkeness and gluttony together as one in the same. She knew Whitney's struggle more than she realizes.
