sending the scvs in late was actually brilliant. if they show up early they just die for almost nothing, but when their isn't much firepower left the scv threaten to surround them forcing them to retreat.
I used this proxy marauder build (I do it worse & out of order, but it still hits with 4 marauders just before 3 mins most of the time) to win a 6-round tournament in game, and it's also gotten me some good MMR gains when I roll Terran (I play as Random most of the time). My Terran used to be my weakest link, but this cheese, 3-rax reaper & now I have that tank build to modify for my own slowness & use, should be able to climb pretty well with it.
With that secret proxy location, couldn't you hold a unit in the gap (ie. like protos wall) after mining to prevent the other player from discovering it due to auto routing?
