    I need to move ASAP! I'm sitting in my neighborhood bar in NYC watching your video on my phone. My ONE glass of wine is $19. This is my second one so effectively I will spend more on 2 glasses of wine + tip, than you did on your date night. And I am STARVING!! Unbelievable....I'm afraid I may drink too much once I live there.

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  5 месяцев назад

      Haha yeah it’s not super fair to compare the price of wine here to NYC, but we hear ya. It’s a pretty sweet deal.

    Que maravilla de vídeo! Soy de Ourense, nací y vivo aquí. Vuestro vídeo me ha hecho recordar lo maravillosa que es esta ciudad. A veces damos las cosas por sentado, ya que nos acostumbramos y el ver la ilusión y entusiasmo que plasmáis en vuestro video, me ha hecho reconectar con esta ciudad. Me encanta ver como gente de otros países valora la suerte que tenemos de vivir aquí. Gracias!

    I'm a BIG tortilla fan. Your version is a tad too soft for me (the one with the cebolla caramelizada in O Frade), but I share your overall direction. You go towards the "Betanzos style". Great stuff!. BTW: Since U guys are usually looking for suggestions. Whenever you are finishing the Camino Francés. Chek this tortilla out: O Ceadoiro in Santa Irene. For me, possibly the best tortilla.

    • @DaysWeSpend

      Oh yeah. We’re all about that Betanzos style. Gooey and golden. We will absolutely check out that tortilla recommendation since we’re on the hunt for the perfect tortilla. Thanks so much and thanks for watching.

    It seems like Ourense is worth a visit on a future camino ⚜️ Sadly it won't be next time (in a month) since we're travelling further to Palermo the next morning from our arrival in Santiago.
    BTW Lainey, you really got that hair going 👌

    When I lived in A Coruna (2011-2012), tapa hopping prices were similar to Rei Do Xamon for tapas. The vino prices really haven't changed from what I seen.

    En el norte por lo general, si pides y pagas algo de comer aparte de la bebida, se le llama pincho, es ir de pinchos o raciones. Las tapas es otra cosa, por lo gral, no se pagan, van incluidas con la bebida. Lo digo pq ya he visto en mi ciudad gente q lo pide y no.

    • @ofuco9708

      En Galicia lo que te ponen gratuitamente con tu consumición, le llamamos pincho.
      Tapas, tapear, ir de tapeo es cuando tu pides, eliges y pagas lo que vas a comer con tu consumición. Además de ser porciones de mayor cantidad que los pinchos.

    Hi guys! Love your videos❤. Ideas for your vlogs: how did you guys decide to live in Galicia? Did you guys look at other cities? How many caminos do you walk a year? Are you planning to return to the US? How old are you? How long have you been together? How did Shawn’s family end up in Spain? Nosy people want to know …… I mean inquiring minds want to know😅. XOXO😊

      Thanks so much! Some of these questions are great for a future FAQ video, so we'll only answer a few now. :) Since we moved to Spain, we walk maybe 3 Caminos a year. We've looked at a few cities in Spain, but decided to try it here. Because we walked Caminos, we spent enough time in Galicia to know we love it.

      Thanks! Depending on the bar/restaurant, there are often options for cheese based plates or mushrooms. Some places cater more for vegetarian tastes. There are increasingly more vegetarians in Spain, so more and more places are offering veggie dishes.

    Hi, I have enjoyed many of your great, informative videos. I am wondering how you overcome the 2-step authentication process required by US banks and government agencies, in which a US phone number is needed? I understand that a local number in Spain is also required? Is there a low cost way of accomplishing this?

    • @DaysWeSpend

    How has your daily schedule been modified? Are you used to eating at 8:30pm (or later) and stores opening and closing and opening again throughout the day?

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  5 месяцев назад +4

      Great question. We have completely adapted to where it feels weird to eat before 8 or 9pm. And we barely notice the midday siesta break anymore. It just makes sense once you live here a while. I’m not saying it’s perfect and isn’t inconvenient sometimes, but it’s normal and we’ve adapted to that pace.

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  5 месяцев назад +1

      At these places we don’t tip unless we pay with cash and it’s more of a rounding. Tipping isn’t expected but obviously appreciated. In Spain it’s never more than a euro for pinchos like what we got, but no most people don’t tip here, at least in our experience.
