Great flight. I have one myself still boxed up and I was scratch building a balsa/ ply one from Keith Sparks plans A-10 using motion rc freewing fans and parts. About 50% finished. John from Hayden Idaho
Beautiful flight 😁👏🏽I'm about to maiden my second one this coming weekend with AS3X+ as well...😁 Thumbs-up for your video 👍🏾 Have a great rest of your night 🌙 Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 👍🏾👍🏾🌵🌵😁🇵🇷 Like #12
Great flying Brent. I've flown both and I prefer the Freewing. Big, smooth, sounds perfect. I just feel like I can mimic the full scale better with it. Awesome flight for sure!
Awesome flight! I have been throwing around the idea to buy one and make it FPV. I just didn't like the short flight times of EDF but after watching this video, six minutes would be good! I'm sold!! I'm going to pull the trigger now!
@@hechtspeed So, as I said this video inspired me and I bought the A10. Started to put it together and saw the power boards where it seems you placed your batteries. Did you move those servo boards to get the batteries to sit further back? Also, did you have to trim the canopy to get the batteries to stack? Where did you end up making the CG? If I remember right some were saying 10mm further back then suggested. Making it FPV with the B.A.G. and trying to decide how to install the air unit now. I will be using SMC 6000 MaH 80c batteries. Keep on flying! Just watched your T38 fly!!!!
@@ChrisFeige yeah i moved the board back. Havnt measred exactly but the cg is close to 4". Didnt have to cut anything to stack the batts. Hope that helps
To make this bird a sweetheart to land, buy the upgrade straight leg mains, cut 5 mm off the spring in the nose gear, and add the 3d printed nozzles that add a little upward thrust. This plane should come from the factory like this but I guess they like selling replacement parts and planes when they get destroyed in bouncy landings. Those changes completely change this plane!
@@hechtspeed I purchased mine about a year ago and it's the so called Special edition which uses a different EDF and even has thrust reverse which I've never used. My maiden went perfect. A few days later my second landing was a disaster when the thing started bouncing and of course giving full throttle to try and save it with the stock thrust line drove it into the ground. Lucked out that the only major damage was the front fuselage and had it repaired and flying again a few days later including all the mods I had already been warned about before I ever flew it. She's a pussycat now! One of these days I'll get around to putting the decals back on this thing. ruclips.net/video/r7mAK6qlaUY/видео.htmlsi=2adHYcymL4ov9jHe

Yep. But i use 7000s in all of my stuff. Flying fpv i want as long of a flight as i can get. 10 min flights are my norm for fpv. I dont mind the weight

Fantastic, I have flown mine on DJI fpv it's a blast!
Actually I used my L39 fpv canopy on her it sort of fits! 😂
Very cool! Yeah should be a awesome platform for fpv formation flying :)
Nice! Who doesn't like some BRRRRT at the field!!

@@tennriverluver3534 already did thosr mods minus the nozzles
@@hechtspeed The nozzles will save your bacon in an emergency go around.
@@hechtspeed They are on thingiverse. They also look more scale.
