I forgot how young Andy is in this. He’s like 18 and it’s so weird seeing him without the full tattoo sleeves and everything else.
He was 15 in this. Guy started touring at 15. Insane.
Andy was born in '90 and this song came out in about '09 he was about 18 or 19. Still fucking insane he started singing at 15 though. Man is a God.

They made this song when they were like 17. It was Andy’s actual high school, Sandras actual car was used, and the house used in the video was also Sandras actual house (or it was one of theirs actual houses). This was like one of their very first songs they filmed and shit. I think it’s pretty dope and I love BVB and this song is one of my favoritesssss.
The house that was used was Sandra's girlfriend at the times house.
That is so impressive they were that good even back then. The production is pretty damn good too for being as old as it is.

"Knives and Pens" was really the song that finally gave BVB some recognition, I started listening to BVB in 2015 (sometime after their album release of BVB 4), and they have really developed musically. Andy actually said that with their first album, he had no idea how to write songs. He definitely got better at song writing over the years, lol. Also, this song he wrote about his experiences of being bullied during his childhood.

"Rebel Love Song" was my intro to this band - and I love the hell out of that whole album. They took what Motley Crue was doing in the 80's and refreshed it for today. Had tickets to see them open for In This Moment next month...postponed, unfortunately...hopefully it gets re-scheduled after the craziness dies down.

Musically knives and pens is more better. The solo is much better than perfect weapons. It’s just a pentatonic run. But knives and pens has string skipping. Well at least not the video version but the studio song

Black Veil Brides - Nobody's Hero. It was the first song I've ever heard of them. And The Legacy & Fallen Angels are my favourite songs.
The lead singer is like 18 or 19 at that time, his voice got better as he’s gotten older and sings mostly cleans now. Seen them live multiple times one of the best I’ve seen.

Never thought I would see BVB but glad you reacted to them. Never was a biiiiig fan of some of their lyrics and there's to much "Ooooh oooh oooh" in their songs for my taste, but they have excellent choruses, musicians, amazing riffs and solos and Andy Biersack has some solid vocals, mostly in their recent stuff.
I really recommend the songs Coffin, Faithless or Wretched And Divine to see how much they improved over the years

The riffs at the beginning of the Knives And Pens sounds the same. A7X created very iconic riffs in metalcore in their early days and I think you will love the old A7X songs.

Riffs are most of the time taken from other artists and remade. How completely different they are from the original depends on what the remaker thinks sounds good. Hence, the point of influence.
