    It would be nice if you can do a video with best savings accounts that have mobile apps,like the main banks. These accounts don’t have apps and even if they are fscs protected, they are not practical. For £30-£50 interest extra a year i would stick to a bank that has a good app

    You should have the best at each minimum payment. The ones that need £10k or £25k minimum are pretty insane for us mere peasants. Would be good to have a table split into minimum balances £1-100, 100-1000, 1000-5000, 5000-10000 and 10000+

    How long does Zopa or Chip ISA/Savings accounts take for withdrawals to hit your nominated account?
    Zopa say often less than 10mins but can be 2 hours whereas Chip says up to 2 hours. Is Zopa actually quicker than Chip?

    I have regular savers with First Direct and Nationwide (7% and 8%) I plan to open a Chip ISA next month and start a new First Direct regular saver when the current one matures and closes. Is this the best option.

    Just wait until the NS&I one year 6.2% matures in the autumn, the market will be flooded with cash and rates drop further.

    It's a shame My Community Bank stopped their 5.17% Easy Access a few days ago.
    Hey Andy, I don't suppose you could make a video talking about 5 year fixes, and if they're worth it, considering everything going on? Sure they might beat interest rates in the future, but also you're powerless to do anything if inflation goes higher etc.

  • @ptalex1

    my lifetime ISA with moneybox is still at 4.25% is it only if u open a new one? doesnt seem right to be punished for being loyal. cud i open a new one next tax year and transfer my current one over to it?

    • @sara9saysyo
      @sara9saysyo 5 месяцев назад

      It's not the LISA with a 5% rate, only their regular savings account (which doesn't give you the 25% gov bonus) but to get the 5% rate instead of 4% you must have another eligible product.
      Definitely not worth withdrawing from your LISA for.
      If you're maxing your LISA and are looking for a second savings account there are higher rates available anyway. Both Co Op and First Direct offer 7% (there is a cap on how much ou can put in monthly though, and FD it's effort to change the monthly amount once you set it up)
      Nationwide was also offering 8% but I think they've lowered this now

    • @davidbutlin8271
      @davidbutlin8271 5 месяцев назад

      @@sara9saysyo you misunderstand the moneybox lifetime isa has gone up to 4.4% but only for a new one. im asking can i open that next tax year then move my money from my other lifetime isa which is at 4.25%

      Me either. Maybe they are fscs protected but i guess their apps or customer service are bad so i would stay away from them. Use the main banks even if is a lower interest at least you have a good banking mobile app.

    I’ve got £3k in chase with 4.1%, would it be worth putting it elsewhere? My first direct regular saver is due to finish and I’ll have £6.6k to put in a savings next month, which is the best, have no interest in touching this money till next year.. I’ve currently opened more regular savers for the next 12 months, co-op etc

    • @sara9saysyo
      @sara9saysyo 5 месяцев назад

      Once you wait til your FD matures you're able to re open the same savings account with the 7% rate again with the max £300. Obviously you can't put the whole 6k in there though.
      Depending on what you're saving for you could open a LISA before the tax year changes and take advantage of the 1k from the gov (if you're buying a house within their criteria or saving for retirement and have no plans to touch the money)

    Hi,
    Do you have any videos that would be good for someone who has just sold their house and needs to put money away for a few years?
    We Just sold the house. No intentions of buying in this market. The wife and I have just opened a S&S ISA (20k each) and will do another 20k each after April 6th. I am on top rate tax bracket and she isn’t earning. We need to put the rest of the money in to some sort of savings account. Need about 50k accessible and the rest can sit for 1-2 years.
    Any advice much appreciated and if you do private calls, we may be interested in a chat also.
    Cheers
