  • Máire Treasa Ní Dhubhghaill is joined in the House of Rugby studio by Lindsay Peat and Johne Murphy as they look back on the weekend’s Six Nations and Ireland’s defeat to England.
They look at the dying minutes of the game and Conor Murray’s decision to box-kick and whether it was the right or wrong decision.
They discuss England’s approach to the game, how they managed to score three tries and exploit the Irish defence.
And they look ahead to Ireland’s final game against Scotland as they look to wrap up the Six Nations title.
Plus, we hear from Rob Kearney and get his thoughts on the defeat.

This is why Ireland will not be able to beat SA in July. If you think England were applying pressure and physicality, its going to be doubled in the SA tests.

  • @niallcurran7894

Great analysis, thanks for the video. Hon the lads for the championship

  • @joewhelan5018

I have seen Limerick win games that maybe they didn't quite deserve to win . .that's what class teams do. Saying that Ireland didn't deserve to win is nonsense and Farrell has a big question to answer about the last 2 minutes

  • @kenrehill8775

Once again, ireland peaked way too early for the next RWC 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • @wot4922

Winning by 1 or 2 points seems to be the norm since the WC. This just shows that in games with top teams you can't predict a winner.

  • @richardjohnston3359

I think ireland had a better team at the WC with Johnny as captain any team would of found it hard against England Saturday when they play like that it reminded me off when England abouslouty destroyed NZ in the WC 2019 i it was sort off the same they just come to win and took the game with out giving the other team a chance they were just ruthless againt ireland and i think evan the irish players just looked shell shocked lol.

  • @peterware6115

You were outplayed - pure and simple, get over it and win the championship next week

  • @amandamurray2346

Nothing. The squad didn't play to their full potential. It's 1 game and we lost by 1 point. Move on. We've more to do. Let's talk about Italys win.

  • @user-xj5ks9yj8n

Fatigue? Dont these 6N teams all have a break every other weekend. ?

  • @skellator4848

Probably the best thing for Ireland ahead of the tour to visit the back to back champs. Saffers would have preferred over confident team with arrogant pundits. Now we just going to get arrogant pundits and a better team

  • @user-os1df1nm6j

Just how many points did ford lose 8

  • @neilmontgomery3470

Ireland were ambushed a bit. England gave no evidence that they were capable of that performance. Question can they do it two weeks in a row?

  • @SKILLAGEREAL

Conor Murray needs to be benched. He never looks in the game just always out of it and disconnected from the team.

  • @brianmurray6287

Rugby 1.0.1 when you are 2 points up with less than 2 minutes to go don't kick the ball back to a pumped up opposing team.

  • @chrispack3131

I think England prevented Ireland playing “their” game!

  • @BarryHawk

JVDF was excellent, bar Bundee the only Ireland performance.

  • @JohnSmith-wo2fz

It was a very brave performance from the England players. Really played above themselves. Just goes to show even poor teams can turn in a very emotional performance and surprise everyone. They'll be telling their grand-kids about the time they managed to beat Ireland by a single point. They should be very proud of themselves, it's a huge achievement for them.

  • @williem1710

England became Ireland on the day. Ireland couldn’t beat themselves at their own game. 😅
