Love my Cane by Cane Masters. Had it now for a few years and have developed a level of confidence to where I carry it daily. Thank you

These are awesome techniques, Keith! Slowly but surely, with our own diligent practice, and learning these methods, you're turning all us cane enthusiasts into Miyamoto Musashi's of cane self-defense! Also, one thing that should be mentioned, and I have noticed over time, as a long-term martial artist (I'm 63 now, and started when I was 15), is that just the way you *carry* your cane with confidence projects a "You really don't want to mess with me" vibe that tends to keep the bad guys at bay.

Thank you for your comment and wise observation… yes, your demeanor, the way that you carry yourself and your cane, sends a strong message to a predator. They instinctively seek to spot weaknesses and exploit vulnerability. When the realize that you are not one of the sheep, they look elsewhere for a victim!

Ordered my Cane Masters cane! Q: when I was young I tried to hold off someone with a stick and all he did was load up, charge me, tackle me, pin my arms down and away he goes. How do you keep some big, maybe jacked up assailant, who just leaps at you and tackles you at bay when the guy is undeterred by some of these moves? Thanks! Love all of this!

Hey Keith, I really appreciate all the hard work and time you put into creating all your videos. They have been very instrumental in keeping me up to date with all your modern techniques and styles. Keith, I am still enjoying the beautiful cane I purchased from you several years back. It's about time I purchase another one. Take care my friend.

slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Mobility challenged people might want to train in another direction.

Hello Keith. I am a proud owner of two of your Cane Master canes (Self designed & Training) and I have a question about the above shown technique. My question is: I can understand why you might strike the perpetrator's weapon with your first cane strike... but, why would you would spin and strike the perpetrator's weapon a second time, rather that actually striking the perpetrator with the full force blow instead?

Hi there! Good question, spinning the cane before striking is for momentum. It also helps in giving more impact. However, it's still depends on your techniques and where you are comfortable with. You can email us at info@canemasters.com if you need anything.

I feel a bit uncomfortable about this technique. Turning back to your opponent even for a split second seems a bad idea.
