    so you use the curvature or displacement map at various intensities to add additional detail to the base color?

      yes, and use dots brushes or any sprinkle brushes for dynamic placement

    Hey dude, do you have a reason for the Texture sets for Teeth, Eyes Etc being seperate?

      depends on your requirement, if a video game or a movie require to zoom in on the area of the eyes, you need separated texture set, because of texel density.
      the more texel a model has more detail it produced.
