No doubt Harald is a good guy. However he has probably made more than $1000 in RUclips revenue with this video so far. It is his "business model" an is ok. He rewards well the people that helps him earn his money.
It's an interesting narrative: Tough guy goes into "post-apocalyptic" park to get a $.30 razor shave from random street barber. Sounds like it would end horribly, but he got a nice quality shave for his money and decided to give up on shaving at home. Challenges a lot of assumptions we have about poor people.

The river has an unusual ability to retain dissolved oxygen, but the reason for this ability is unknown. DS Bhargava, a retired professor of hydrology, who has spent a lifetime performing experiments up and down the Ganges in the plains of India, says that in most rivers, organic material usually exhausts a river's available oxygen and starts putrefying. But in the Ganges, an unknown substance, or "X factor" that Indians refer to as a "disinfectant," acts on organic materials and bacteria and kills them. Bhargava says that the Ganges' self-purifying quality leads to oxygen levels 25 times higher than any other river in the world.
@@ewdryk2989 Unfortunately, this is unfounded and not based on real science, The Ganges is toxic and fouled by misuse and mismanagement of waste water as well as uncontrolled sewage and improper body disposal. This is fixable, and the Ganges can be returned to the ecological hotspot and sacred site it once was, but there needs to be major work done for that to happen, and in the meantime it is a major public health hazard to people who don't purify the water before use. Disinfecting is not the solution, as nitrogen consuming bacteria are the main purifiers of all water systems, along with algae that consume the byproducts, and whatever would "Disinfect' would also lead to the most foul cesspool you could find, only temporarily affecting anything. Nothing would decompose and the organic matter would just rest and fill the river. The solution is proper waste management, public education and access to real clean water. It's a good reflection of India's government's health, the health of the river can only improve with the government and communities economic standing improving a great deal, as well as greater respect for their environment

Whenever I visit Pakistan, I will get a shave daily (even though I won't grow much hair in one day) but the massage and service you get is 10/10. Also when you pay them twice as much as they charge (which is already so nominal), the barbers really light up.

I don't know how many times I watched this video. It gets recommended every now and then and I keep coming back.
I definitely felt that head massage through the screen.
I already commented before but this guy deserves more in life.
Well, that tip was the price of 26 shaves, so I'd say he had a very good day, and I'm glad for it. (got 20+500)
Sameeeee
I’d love to bring him to America or other guys like him. Amazing
Word gets around that if you're just being honest and treat everyone equally, you might just be rewarded with your hard work. Not a bad lesson to learn.
Yea but in America you get ghetto people with no hearts. Cheap bastards
These people just stop walking and stare so abruptly like it's GtA
Thats what you were doing while watching this video
Must be normal to them. Indians in the USA always fuckin stare at people. I stare back to make them uncomfortable but they just keep staring like it doesn't phase them

😮 wow!! Great job he’s clearly mastered all the correct stretch points around the jaw line to achieve the closest shave. There is actually 14 different manipulations of the stretch technique. And that’s the key to the closest shave to record. I have to say great job coming from my background. 👏🏻
Incredible technique, attention to detail and paitence for 30 cents. Hope that man is tipped well for his work daily.
man i wish i had 1/10 that mans skill and technique maybe then i wouldnt have so many nicks when i shave with my mild safety razor. think i would of paid him 30 dollars just to thank him.
vladstad no kidding right ??? Literally the CLOSEST street shave I’ve seen, and little effort
He tipped good at the end
No, they don't get tipped well daily bro. Because all who can tip them don't go to these street barbers, and all who goes to these barbers don't tip them. And he got the tip like Rs.500 which is like $7, but it's their normal daily wage. He would be really happy with the tip.
He did it for the cam 😂
In Toronto, $40 gets you a 3 hour wait, followed by some Iranian kid butchering your mustache. Fun times.
Because in Toronto a barber has to manage an apartment & a car. In india roadside barbers usually live in slums and they ride a bicycle to work.
You can get $10 haircuts all over Toronto
I get a sick fade in Toronto for 17$ by Indians and they do a good job
Wait their is Persian barbers in Toronto?

It's an interesting narrative:
Tough guy goes into "post-apocalyptic" park to get a $.30 razor shave from random street barber.

@@ewdryk2989 just ask the water why
