Fantastic memories of my first football ground I ever went to,the old Fellows Park,Walsall with my dear old late dad and best friend. Very happy exciting childhood days.Miss you dad ❤❤❤
Some great Hugh Johns commentry in that Walsall V Brentford game. They've lost that ball in the old laundry. You don't get commentry like that in the effing Premier League!
'Lungs' was a Blue and didn't want to leave Chelsea but the club needed the money. Geoff Hurst accidently betrayed that there were problems behind the scenes, which of course came to pass in the farcical second half of the season.
They were there to separate home and away supporters. It’s hard for young people to know how bad the violence was. I was in that stand before those fences when 14 people were stabbed. At another game my friend ended up in hospital after being hit by a coke bottle. I have mixed feelings about that era. We had great players and a great team but going to a football match is such a joy now by comparison.

Happy days early 80s watching TBM on Sunday afternoons with one of the best signature tunes those were the days 😎👍...
This edition, along with the rest of that season, was broadcast on the Saturday evening.
That LWT jingle so reminds me of my childhood. As does the intro of the show
The Ipswich v Everton game was featured on the front of a maths book we used at primary school lol (Peak Mathematics 5)

Jim Rosenthal moved to ITV in 1980 after several years on BBC Radio 2.
What a fantastic own goal by Brentford 😂

Here because of Mike L. Great choice, Snake :-)
Those huge partition fences at Ipswich were mad!
How could you see through them? Bonkers!
Alot of the grounds were like that. Mental really.

QPR had a great team then
Qphaha actually had a few hundred there 🤣
Classic Brentford away top😊
A blatant bit of time wasting has now become professionally seeing the game out.
Ok
Poor Tommy, daft asa brush
Currie playing as a sweeper, quite unusual for those days.
