i have same problem with vw golf 7.5 1.6 tdi 85kw . I changed this sensor but it keeps coming up this code again , under load (high rpm) it lights the glowplug light and some how it goes on limp mode , when i check with diagnostics it only give P164B00 code !!

Just had one of these diagnosed by the RAC and recovered in. As an ex vag tech i know of this fault, but turned out the car had no oil in, bottom end knock and a filter full of shredded bearings. Not relevant to this video, but a reminder to check basics first yourself. (This is for anyone reading comments trying to diagnose their own car, not baz)

Hi, i get a low pressure warning on my golf 7 1.4 TSI. The code on on obd 11 is P164D00. Is it related and should i get the sensor replaced?

My Golf 1.6 TDI gives the same error from time to time. Will I damage the vehicle if I do not replace this part? Or is it a harmless warning?

I've got a f39 X2 m sport, awesome car... All the vag stuff is fairly simple to work on imo

Baz is this caused by poor oil changes or using wrong grade oil
It's a common fault with them and this car has low mileage so I'm presuming it's doing short journeys

Yeah baz was gonna check pressure with gauge at oil pressure switch for about 20 seconds then go from there x
