Fellow therapist here, I started my Invisalign in January to correct my bite too! 🥰I had the lisp too. My solution was to take out the top one during sessions and I leave the bottom. Then I pop the top one back in between sessions. I know it’s not the recommend time. But this works for me.

Thankfully after a few days the lisp isn’t noticeable and thankfully my pain was gone after 4 days
