Outsiders might think that since India is a majority Hindu state, it's outlandish for us to be oppressed within India. But it could not be further from the truth, we are a very liberal people by nature, we don't have an agenda, there are many communities and sub communities within us, and if you go by the abrahamic definition of religion we are not even one religion.
But those against us do have an agenda and work in a very organized manner, they get support from international organizations and media.
What happened in Kashmir has been a common theme within India since the religion of peace came. But when india which had been colonized first by Islam, and then by Christianity for the past 800 years gained the right to self governance in 1947 , the history of terror was deliberately hidden from us.
Most of our people still don't fully know the situation they are in and the dangers faced by them. They understand neither the true nature nor the goals of their enemies, and don't have a clear understanding of what's at stake. Recent developments have made more people aware of these issues, but it's not enough, because unlike us our enemies are willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve their goals.
Few people in the outside world can understand this, (1) because a large part of the world is dominated by the religion of peace, and (2) because some sections of the western world have been for whatever reasons, providing support to the extremists within India. Other parts of the world haven't experienced what we have to this extent, as almost every other place the religion of peace visited has been fully subdued.
