It's always safer in traffic than in a crit, especially in my country. There are so few people race that we don't have CATs so experienced and non-experienced riders all just bunch up together and there are always crashes!

Well the law does say that you must go faster than the minimum speed as slow moving vehicles are prohibited. These cats are a licence to speed a bit as the police will break off any action and stay with the skitcher!

I make it a habit to stay out of my comfort zone often, the bike is 57cm, gearing is 54x11 down to 39x28, tires are 23mm, bars are 40 width for traffic

Can only talk about my experience in Longchamps Velodrome here in Paris. Critttin' every saturday, the pack loses focus after an hour or two and crashes happen often. I usually do an hour to get the excitement but i prefer riding the boulevards of Paris. Thanks for the vids !

I prefer riding in traffic than group (or peloton) personally. I just feel more flow and safer as well. I wish I could ride with you one day man. We share the same riding style and passion for riding but none of my friends want to ride and none are really up for the antics so I'm stuck doing it alone! Smh.
5:15 You gotta be careful grabbing the wheel arch of low cars like this where the tyre tucks up into the wheel well specially if it has wide wheels you could easily loose a finger as the spring compresses and the whole rear end moves around over the bumps and the tyre moves side to side, Ride fast die last

Longchamps Fast Pack and Criteriums are not the same thing. You should try a real crit someday
