Why is pat so damn hung up on waddle being a number two receiver when he would be number one on basically every other team except for maybe like 5? He is sounding dumb tbh.
Jt is worth a waddle trade but not for the renegotiated contract, injury questions, and being in a no demand market. Now if we're talking about someone like nick chubb it would be a different story. He is proven guy that has had no down season since he started. Chubb is a dude that should be wanting more money. Not a guy on a rookie deal with one good year and time left. Jt just needs to suck it up, ball out, and earn them racks. Similar to how almost every player should approch the game. If you deserve the big bucks top market deal you will show us and get it. My god he's turning into the biggest primadonna of this generation.

He was right. Pat has sounded like an idiot this week talking about JT. Now that it came out the colts were asking for a 2nd round pick with Waddle it’s proven they were operating with bad faith.

Waddle a #2 receiver? It’s a wild request because he’s a #1. Tyreek is there but if he wasn’t he’d be the #1 or drop him on another team he’d be a #1. They say it’s not a wild request then go on to say Taylor had a terrible year. He’s not worth a big contract but he is worth a #1 talent that’ll be worth triple what JT is asking for? Colts won 4 GAMES they don’t have any talent worth a 1st. Colts were dealing in bad faith 100%.

I think Pat is confused about the whole Waddle thing because he's accidentally using semantics against himself. Waddle is the #2 WR on the Dolphins, but that doesn't mean he's a #2 talent. I mean he'd be the #1 on the Colts, by FAR. He just happens to be on a team with one of the greatest players in football. He's more like a #1.5.

He may be a #2 WR but he's a #6 overall pick & the #1 is freakin Tyreek Hill. Waddle is a #1 on pretty much 25 other teams. Seems like Taylor is playing his hand at the wrong time. He had one amazing season, his upside is huge. But he's not a bonified superstar yet. Tough situation, let's hope it works aht.

@@jayrod1340no one seems to mention Waddle is a pro bowler, a top 10 draft pick, has 3 years left on a rookie deal, and has a first two years start to a career that very few WRs have ever duplicated. WR is also a much more premium position, where RBs are a dime a dozen in this day and age. I’m a ravens fan, so I have no skin in the game, but waddle for JT and the colts giving a first might be closer to a realistic trade.

Because the Dolphins themselves said there was never a formal offer. Also, like you pointed out, if they thought it was "wild" then they should counter. I'm like you, I'm not a Colts or Dolphins fan so I don't care what they decide. But I do know that there was either an offer, or there was not an offer, yet somehow the Dolphins are claiming that both no formal offer was made, and a wild offer came in.

The Nebraska Women's Volleyball team were the sporting highlight of my time attending there, they filled up wherever they were put whenever they played at NE. The infrastructure they have invested into sports is insanity.

Seeing an all time great that coach from the greatest franchise in the NFL was incredible. You can see throughout the conversation between Pat and Coach Cowher the respect that both men have for each other and more importantly the city they grew up in.

You can draft a Jonathon Taylor in the 4th or 5th. You can't draft a guy like Waddle unless you have a 1st rounder. They just value differently in the nfl despite you saying they're both top players

@@jayrod1340there are always outliers, but even those late rounders that are great players now took a few years to become productive. Waddle came into the league ready to go, broke the rookie record for receptions with like 4 diff QBs throwing to him.
People forget that last year Tyreek had 1710 yards, Waddle had 1356.
I would say the vast majority of teams’ #1 receivers won’t break 1300 yards this year unless they have an elite QB.

First off, been watching the show for 4 or 5 years now, I cant really remember exactly because I'm always taking medicine when I watch 🤷♂️ I watch your show when I get off work at 5 pm so I cant watch it live. Your show being on youtube allows me to watch it at any time for free. You are the only actual high quality show that does that. Today was almost 4 hours of hanging out with your buddies, saying funny, borderline inappropriate ****** to some people AND talking Football (and sometimes other sports) Speaking as a 31 year old Sport loving, Full time working, Father of 2. From the aspect of reaching high to start a negotiation, whatever, but if the Colts were in earnest; Waddle for Taylor is wild.
In sales if you are the seller and you start a negotiation high to just be high and there are competitors with a similar skill for less you will get written off for any future negotiations. This only applies if competitors have a similar skill to offer. In this case we saw Dalvin, Jacobs, Pollard, all settling for less. This make the high end sale technic by the colts look like a cash grab / rip off and would turn off most buyers

You’re like, idk baby it’s listed for sale nobodies giving a fair offer. The Colts don’t want to deal Taylor and honestly they don’t have to. They don’t expect to compete this year anyway if they can’t trade him for someone (waddle) who’ll actually improve the team now and in the future then they’ll let him sit on the PUP all season if they have to and tag him next year then negotiations start all over again. The entire exercise was to prove to Taylor RBs aren’t going to command the money he’s looking for. No team is willing to trade what they’re asking for him he’s not worth 17 mil a year to them

Pat is over simplifying Taylor for Waddle. Yes, on paper, without names, an RB1 for a WR2 isn’t too wild. But add the name Waddle. Dude can stretch the field just as good as Tyreek. The impact on the passing game has far more upside with him then Taylor impacts the running game.
Everybody does that when it’s their team and they want a player. ie I’m a packer fan and I’d never want us to trade 3 1s for a LT but if we trade bakh we need 3 1s
