Hi, I’m from Bordeaux and I eat these every month. I just wanted to tell you that your canelés look great, and don’t worry about the top being a little pale, it’s actually pretty common. I’ve just discovered your channel and I already love it, keep going.
You are literally one of the best if not the best dessert channel on RUclips... Great information that helps home cooks like myself not feel lost while following a recipe... Nothing is missed it left out
My thoughts getting a lighter crown, is due to the collection of excess of butter at the bottom but the colour combination has a nice finish ❤happy baking love what you do
Hey! I discovered your channel when I was looking for the Basque cheesecake recipe and here I am going through all your recipes. I love that you tell your audience about the different variable we may encounter. Definately a masterclass. Thank you!
I made caneles using your recipe and technique. It’s my first attempt and I m over the moon! Yielded beautiful results using carbon steel mold although with some white butt probably due to oven issue. The interior is soft custard like and crunchy on the outside! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill! 😘😘😘🌻🌻🌻 next will look @ your Kouign Amann recipe 😬
hi sarah! loved the video and loved to hear your thoughs on the molds while making it. i feel like your voice adds to the experience of watching a really well edited video with amazing shots so yeah, i would love to see more videos like this one in the future... even tho this was a year ago 😪 Hope you are well and hope you can try copper molds to hear what you think about them
Wow I LOVE your detailed attention to everything and the options you mention. It's crazy when you compared the ones from the individual molds vs the pan...the deep brown color looked PERFECT compared to the black brown on the others lol what an awesome video!!!
This is godsend! I’ve been delaying myself from buying canele molds (I have the silicone ones) and I just so happen to be traveling to Japan this April. Can’t wait to head there and buy a set! Thank you!!!
Hello! im Korean RUclipsr Doking. When I bake, I see this beautiful and wonderful canele for the first time: D Looking forward to a good video in the future ^ _ ^
@@ButtermilkPantry I also love your channel, and I appreciate that you'll consider the comments about the music. You're a very disciplined baker, and I learned a lot from watching your different videos. So glad I found you!
Hi Buttermilk, May I ask the difference between using whole egg with only egg yolks? Do you ever get canelé with puffing bottom and can’t sink back in? I enjoyed watching your video :D Thanks!
I love your video😊 I don't wanna use wax. But i dont know how. Then you don't use wax!!!! Just use butter?? Or not??sorry im korean so i want know clear😢
Thanks for the link for the website where you got your molds, very interesting online store,a bit hard to navigate since it is all in japanese.Do you know if they ship around the world?
I turn on the translate function from my laptop and can translate most of them except if it is not in a document format. You can register yourself with this globalexpress.rakuten.co and will send overseas. But joining needs to provide photo and address ID and signiture ID as well. First shipment address has to be the same with the joining address ID but can change after 1st shipment completed. Shipping is quite expensive too! But they offer from time to time 30% off - can have choice to ship AIR (5 to 10 days) or Surface (by sea mail takes 2 to 3 months) I advise you to first try to make sure you are able to register with this Rakuten Global express first before you order. You will be given a Japanese address to ship to and then forward the parcel to you after confirm with your choice to ship. You can also order from some other Japan website, also can combine a few order within a month and group them to ship to you.
You talk for half an hour about the moods, how expensive they are and so on and yet you only say how much the cost in yen!! It’s like you are teasing us on purpose

It's a lovely channel. I'm from india and the cost of the copper moulds are exorbitant here. Can i use aluminum ones?
Wonderfully explained. I will give a try later. If I may its a tad slow. If I may... IMHO: Anyway thanks
Love this diff style! Would have preferred if the background music was a bit softer though :)
Liz thank you for letting me know! Will definitely keep that in mind ☺️
Yeah it's louder than your voice...so mostly i relay on reading text

Wanted to watch this, but there was some odd music on top of the spoken audio that totally made the video unpleasent.
Didn't want to spend to much, 300 yen is only about $2 usd
Sad sad music.
