Like a boss for sure 💪😁🌿
I think they really should rename the paint bucket strainer as the bucket diaper 😆
That cracked me up and then when you said the net scares the duckweed away 😂 I could just picture all the duckweed flying around everywhere like it does.. this way you can have a sneak attack and they can't alert each other to run 🤣
This is one of those things that could turn duckweed removal into something pretty satisfying 👍🌿💚 I'm sending this one to my daughter for sure!!

Yes, those things that arrive in the night.
Next Halloween do a quiz on what is best for eliminating it:
    A. Silver bullet
    B. Wooden stake
    C. Holly water (RO filtered of course)
    D. Crucifix
    E. Jason’s comb
Enjoying the wisdom, ideas, irony, and insight,

This was a great hack. Ahhh duckweed...when I had it, it thinned itself out all over my hands, arms, clothes, into my coffee cup, lurking in my hair...quite the escape artist it was. Now I just have nice fluffy hornwort and pathos with their feet in the water and their leaves draping down the sides of the tank. So much friendlier.

I intentionally grow it for my Goldfish and Chickens. I use a plastic cup to remove duckweed from the tanks I dont want it in. If you get it as soon as you see it, no problem.

  • @tomschenk5148

When I got it introduced to my tank I just used a shop vac held about 1/2" over the top of the water. It pulls all the surface water and the duck weed just goes along for the ride. It even gets the pieces that are too small for a comb.

So you like doing this every weeks ????? Why not just eradicate the problem to begin with. I used a shrimp net to remove it all. After this if I would have done nothing else it would have just come back. Put a power head or a wave maker in the tank or some air stones. Duckweed hates surface water agitation. I did that with the 3 tanks that I had duckweed in the and I've been duckweed free in all 3 for 6 months. Why deal with the constant problem when you can eradicate it.
