I was there at the 80s, Frankie were huge, they shined brightly briefly, it was an exciting time for music with MTV etc revolutionising how music was consumed....The release of Michael Jackson's Thriller video was the standout moment, I still recall being at a nightclub on the first friday night of the videos release, everyone just stood mesmerised staring at the big screen, there's been nothing like it since its a real shame we dont have hood music anymore, when Harry Styles and Taylor Swift win Grammy's you know somethings not right, The Beatles never won a Grammy and Marvin Gaye only managed 1 award.
Liverpool is my favourite city in the UK. The people are so friendly, and there's a kind of happy feeling, a buzz that makes me happy and want to return again and again. I think the locals are so proud of their city, and heritage and what a heritage. Pop culture and talent are second to none. When I first heard, 'Relax', I loved it instantly. So different and exciting, it was as though FGH came from a different planet. Brilliant band with great music. Hope Holly and the Boys are OK. Still look amazing.
So 20 years has finally mellowed him. He was a right absolute cvnt to the rest of the boys on VH1's Bands Reunited back in 2003. It was a real disappointment back then. Glad he's finally got the bee out of his bonnet.
