To all of the ppl commenting this is the first time hearing jelly roll. You're in for a treat. Once you go down this rabbit hole you're never coming out. Get em jelly!
exactly hes got songs for everybody wanna my favs!!! #lovesomejelly
Man I love this dude! He's turned down so many record deals so he can make HIS music!
Btw i fell in that rabbit hole before he mad this song
You are so very right on!
Such a soulful rabbit hole to fall down
Jelly Roll is FINALLY getting his recognition. He's starting to really blow up.
He's a reformed drug dealer. Went to jail. Turned his life around. Jelly raps and sings. "Fall in th fall" you can really see he's got soul!
But he really is so humble. Suffers from anxiety, depression, self loathing like the majority of us and he raps alot about that. He's also struggled with his weight and is very open about that. He's also really funny.
He's 100% independent!! No record deal and he just put out a country album that's actually getting played on country music stations which almost never happens unless you do have that deal.
I'm proud of him. Been following Jelly for years and to see how diverse he is in his music. How all he makes his into making his daughters life better and taking care of his family. He's good people as we say haha
Hit the nail on the head with that comment ^
Been listening to Jelly for well over a decade now. Trust me everything Jellyroll has made is nothing short of great! If you aren't familiar with Jelly then do yourself a favor & checkout each of his albums. Even if you do not think you like rap I bet you will love all his music. You can thank me later, 😉
His depression and anxiety is what’s led to his weight issues, his storytelling in his music has helped me and I know many others overcome our own struggles and drug addictions. His song with Struggle Jennings “Glitter” is what truly pushed me to overcome my addiction. Listened to that song damn near on repeat and all his and struggles songs all day for months till I was past that shit.
The fact he sings about his past and the fucked up shit he’s done touches you in a personal way and makes you truly feel artists are just people like us, and that helps.
@@beckwith1107 Well said Hookem! And I'm truly happy you overcame your addictions! It's amazing how music can help your mindset. It controls your feelings. If you're filling your head with garbage you'll act like garbage. If you fill it with PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) you'll emulate those feelings!
Cringe redditor comment
Great break down of his life. And he seems like such a good and humble guy. Really rooting for him.
She wasn’t ready for jelly roll lol. That face. I love seeing people first reactions to this song
i love jelly n bunny such a cute couple and shes in alot of his vids its like tom n nova just root for em!
I'm right there with you homie, especially if they've ever heard anything from his early days before he tapped into this side of his talent and changed his ways.
I had heard his stuff before but this was something else I didn’t know what to expect and it hit harder than I thought practically started bawling
The US Tennessee accent is actually directly derived from Scotland / Ireland and the people who moved here from there. So that "Northern-Southern Country" can strike a person from the UK directly in the soul.
I absofuckinlutely love Jelly Roll he's a true inspiration and I definitely owe the fact I'm still sober to him!!!
When you see the tears well up in your eyes... You know it's a good song. Gets me every time.
Got me the first time I heard it
I have to actually put effort into not crying when I hear this song. Only other song that does that is I'm so Lonesome I Could Cry by Hank Williams Sr. The emotion and realness is almost overpowering .
@@SaltySpark I have a few songs that do this to me.
Same, cry every time.
Before I even watch the video I want to say I'm such a huge fan of this dude and his music! He has so much range, not just with his voice but his music style in general. He can go from super twangy country to keeping up with Tech N9ne rapping. He's an incredible talent and deserves way more attention than he gets. I'm going on a jelly roll binge after watching this.
I’m in Nashville and I’ve been a fan for literally 20 years and he’s the best in my opinion 💖💖💖
yeeeeess back to the start with lil wyte to this down here with jesse witley (son of legendary keith whitley) and little wyte as well and then you got these hes got such a range of genres he covers love some jelly!
Man I love me some jelly roll, I got to meet him two weeks ago and hes such a down to earth dude and just as amazing as his music
@@brieannaperry3362 id loooove to smoke a blunt joint anything with jelly and just be like watcha thinkin man??? and see what comes out i bet! ive smoked with other famous people but jelly self made man i remember his 10 min freestyle got em famous like 10 yrs ago gradually famous lol
He has a whole album out now with him singing love every song from the album. He truly is a talented artist.
New album got him invited to sing at thw grand Ole opera in Nashville also! Should check out thw video he loses it getting a life goal.
Wow, that guy is amazing! Blown away 💥
I love jelly roll. So underrated.
thats okay! we can blow up his views hes got a nice fan base i found em on a 10min freestyle like 10 yrs ago haha! hes came such a long way since then!
I saw him perform live a couple months ago, and he sounded amazing at the show. He came across as a very grounded, very humble person.
This man went from rapping in prison with a drum beat of the inmates beating on the walls to turning down major record deals, glad jelly made it.
Been on the jelly train for years now glad to see people finally giving my man the credit he deserves!!!
This is the song that got me hooked on Jelly Roll, and I have not looked back since. This song resonates with me as I have felt this way many times in my life.
Jelly Roll is an amazing artist and I would love to see him live someday. He did a concert and sold out the Ryman Auditorium last month. What a show and what a humble and kind gentleman he is. Great reaction to such a deep meaningful song.
Been rockin with Totem over 10 yrs and this man finally getting the recognition he deserves, he’s always wrote great hooks/chorus and wasn’t afraid to use his voice. He’s got an amazing team behind him too as well, shout out to David Ray and Still Mathews!
Her initial reaction to jelly is golden! I've been listening to him for a very long time now so seeing that is awesome!
Jelly Roll is absolutely amazing, saw him live at Graceland in Memphis and it's even better live!!
His new album is all singing even got him invited to sing at grand Ole opera in Nashville hitting a life goal of his!
Opry not opera 🤣🤣🤣
@@Josh31287 does it matter really. You pop in to correct someone. Who are you? Nobody!
Who else watches until the very last second so you can see the last, very cute, animated "rawr"?
Jelly got his first Gold record for this song. He's amazing. This was great Beth. Check out his new one Son of A Sinner, absolutely stunning vocals.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SON OF A SINNER!!🤟💜💜💜 Also, Over You on the same album!! LOVE JELLY!
@@jillbunny90 Jelly is amazing. I'm so happy so many cool things are happening for him.
Son of a Sinner is also absolutely amazing!!
@@vd2656 Right?! One of the most amazing songs I've ever heard.
Son of a Sinner is one of my absolute favorites.
I love Jelly Roll and was so happy to see him pop up on your channel!
I’ve listened to this guy for a long time. I can’t tell you the feeling I get when I see when someone’s heart breaks over this song. And you definitely wear your feelings on your face. It’s a touching song for sure. Well done
I just found him, and I love everything he has out! Listen to Son of a Sinner...this song is so good!
This song always gets in my feels.. I've never been into drug but being someone who has manic depressive bipolar been on amd off meds and struggled with severe depression.. this song speaks to me and about me just a broken damaged man
I'm sure you aren't just a broken damaged man there's more to you than that
It’s nice so many singers are coming out as independent and aren’t being stuck in only one type of music. He’s done rock, gospel, country, and rap
I love Jellyroll his music is definitely therapeutic music. He's awesome. Struggle is another favorite of mine. You should check out Fall In The Fall
Hes sang the chorus on most of the songs dating back to him and lil whytes partnership. Glad to see he came out of his bubble and is giving us all these beautiful full singing songs now. Love his voice
Just saw him live last night! He's great! Crazy live show!
I've followed jelly from his 10 minute freestyle in 2010 until now, and I can tell you he's an artist not just rapper !! He's been thru a lot and I'm glad he's getting the recognition he deserves !! 👍👍
“If my PO ask, I hang dry wall”
Right there with you man it’s badass to see
Jelly is criminally underrated as a singer. This song and Son of a Sinner are finally letting people see his voice and understand how truly talented the man is. I cant WAIT to see his Debut on the Opry. He's a Nashville native and its just so damn awesome to see him finally gain so much traction.
Ive worked with Ol Jelly before he is a gifted hard working man ...always a fun time hangin with him for sure.
I couldn't imagine how many peoples life's he has changed just from this song alone let alone all the other great music he has under his belt
Thank you for again introducing me to someone new. The combination of your musical insights and soft heart creates compelling reactions.
Absolutely beautiful song and lyrics style, love ya Jelly.
Coming from a dj with epilepsy this song is so emotional on how I feel sometimes so when I don't feel good and depressed I at this song wich shows I'm not alone n helps me calm n relax so I love to thank Jelly Roll for a great song that helps me calm n relax n helps have less seizures so good n relaxing sounding
That was VERY unexpected. But VERY Pleasant to hear. He even surprised you, Beth. Great Post.
This song gives hope, and your reaction is great! Thank you mate.

Have any tips for an aspiring preacher who needs a booming voice? My voice isnt deep but not light either but id lile to learn to be like Billy Graham.
Thanks for a great video here
Ooooooo you NEEEEED to check this chica out. (Think Tyler Childers had a sister😏)

This has been my motto for so long now
Loved your surprise at the beginning. Love seeing you react to him, as well as your technical appraisal!
His music, especially thing so has helped me through some of toughest times I’ve had to deal with, the second I hear this song I have to sing it at the top of my lungs while crying like a baby lol
Jelly is an amazing artist, he has a bunch of awesome songs. You should definitely do more. 😃
Absolutely love his music!
Yayyy u finally done
this song 💙💙💙
I saw him in concert earlier this month. He is amazing in person.
Awesome guy
Thank you for doing Jeiiyroll he's one of my favorite artist
Jelly Roll is from the south, he has been a Rapper for quite some time, now he told me he wants to siing more and get in shape. Thanks for doing the reaction Beth.
He's got something nobody else sounds like. Bravo!
First time heard this song I just cried for him… good beyond words… and those lyrics are heartbreaking
First time hearing this dude but I’m already a huge fan.
I felt this song from my toes to the top of my head just like when I watch those fail videos when the people fall and get hurt.
This song is beautiful
I knew of jelly roll from rapping.. I was blown away when he started to sing.
I enjoyed this vdo, thnx u to whoever sent this to u :)
Jelly Roll is so real, and I don't say that about many artists. I remember seeing a tour video, where he described why he is so adamant about seeing fans. He met a woman who lost her kid, and he was also kinda a big dude. She hugged him and said, "I knew you would feel like him". Jelly cries every damn time he talks about it. THAT is the artist you stumbled upon. A real dude.
This guy is a lyrical genius when it comes to getting under your feelings and making you see what he is talking about he has that ability white no one else there's only a very few artists in any other genre that can do that and this man cannot only move from being a rapper but he can go to other genres of music within the same song and pull it together and make an instant classic. We love the big guy he's been through the same struggle and helps us get through our day because of the day-to-day grind that people like us and him deal with
jellyRoll is a legend of his time. He is a rapper but sings soooo beautifully. AND ZERO AUTO TUNE😁. thanks for reacting to this
Very cool I am a fan of his and I just clicked on this video when I saw him but very good song I feel this song just hits all the right notes and gots the right felling of realness
Love jelly roll
I am so lucky I have 2 tickets to see him next week
Jelly Roll is amazing and I love hearing him sing. ❤
You're amazing!
He is an incredibly talented musician!
2 weeks late but Jelly ..... Man, wrote a song a while back that just jives with me to my core. name of the song is "Same Asshole"
the line of something like for all the good that ive done, everyone remebers only the bad.
Great review
Ah I hadn't heard this in ages & the fact I'm bawling at 7am would be why ha.
I relate to this so hard & like one of my best mates is losing her battle with cancer & I'm slipping after years of sobriety.
Tell you what though, it does bring quite the intensity to the voice.
RIP Worm aka Jimmy 'Millions' Womack 💔 Still heartbroken & can't get over your passing!! 😢
This song is interesting. I've now listened to you analyze the way he sings, someone analyze the actual music itself including the lyric line, and a therapist analyze the words and the feelings being spot on when trying to leave addiction behind. But it all just started with listening to the song and letting it make me feel. Once I do the rounds I feel like I understand the song in entirely different ways, so this was great.
Thank you ❤❤
I know this is a sad song BUT during the Covid lockdown I heard this for the first time and at 64 I got off the drugs I’d been on since I was 16. It’s been a long, hard haul, but I am 2 years completely clean So thanks Jelly!!!!!
I'm so glad you came back to the church of the dirty south .
Jelly Roll is quite the artist. Local legend where I'm from
I first heard this at The Blue Ridge Rock Festival. I was pretty drunk and high (legal in Virginia). Hear it while in the porta potty and started crying like a baby. Fun times. Was an amazing festival.
Fall in the fall is the only song i can think of that Jelly sings and raps on allowing you to see both styles in one song.
hes totally indepent an that song just went gold it was his first song to do so
Love jelly!!!!
Jelly is the shit...been listening to him for a long time now
I’ve met him a few times and he’s a great guy in person too. 🤍
You got cought up in the emotion of this song you felt what he ment you to feel ...I absolutely love Jelly Roll ..you feel the music again ...so lost in our society today with the music put out now on Top 40
That look on her face when she first hears it, you can tell she was not expecting him to sing like that. This is one of my all time favorite song ever, especially as a ex-drug addict, this song just touches my soul.
This is a sad but great song. Jelly has lived a life for sure. He has a great life though. Super talented human being. You need to delve into more of his stuff.
He is the best 🤘🏾
Nice break down Beth. You are probably a good vocal coach.
I have said the exact same thing as you just said Beth....He is a singer. That smokey bluesy tone he has is sooo hard to get and he does it with ease. He does an amazing cover of Marshall Tucker Bands Cant You See that is worthy of a listen as well.
Hold on, we have Rick Roll and now there's a Jelly Roll? I'll be damned, girl!
Jelly roll is awesome ❤️🙌🏼
jelly is a sleeper always love his music and styles he brings
Jellyroll is amazing on about singing or rap or both mixed
As long as the rona stays out of the way, I have tickets for Nov 21st to see him.
I was supposed to see him last year with Tech but he had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts and Rittz filled his spot
And it got fuggin canceled. Bunch of crap
This is why you never judge a book by its cover.
his voice on this song reminds me of the late chris cornell well he does be from nashville tenessee
His new album is amazing backslide is great song
🙋♂️Hello Beth Roars, I will tell you that I constantly watch your videos and your comments are very explanatory. I congratulate you, you do very well ... If you like music in Spanish ... I suggest you listen to Manuel García, it could be the song "Hablar de ti" ... I hope you have a great week .. .. Good luck and greetings from Chile ....🇨🇱
I don't know that Jelly Roll is a "Rapper". Just strictly a musician/artist. I have heard him sing more than rap. Glad you liked him. :)
Here in the states we call it that country twang 🤠
Only is one of my favorite songs by him
He also sings on the song Fall in the Fall. You should listen to that too.
Roar!
Hey, Beth! Love your vids!!! If you're looking for another suggestion to review, look up Dave Fenley's cover of Grandpa. Keep up the great work! 😁
Hes actually been talking about doing a full album in this style :) enjoy
Thanks for doing jelly roll fantastic break down of him , keep it in the family and try a band named twiztid that raps but just did a singing rock album love to see that
