@@Drejac1 😆 Joe’s always changing things up. No one really stays in his groups for very long. We loved that band. Many of us have been friends for years, and are doing other things all around the world now. We were the band that did Joe’s first major tour and first major TV appearances.
Joe is smashing this track on lead vocals. It's only a small handful of people who can sound this good live and Luther Vandross along with Whitney Houston just to name two. Joe is in that category no doubt.🙏
@@Jamaicafunk He's up there simply because he's genuine. He's totally original and nobody sounds like him and he sounds like nobody else. We both know R.kelly is a carbon copy of Aaron Hall. Clearly he stole that man's whole act and made a fortune off of it.
@@Jamaicafunk I think that this is a sweeter key arrangement than his original version! Most soloists would sing their song in a lower key to protect their vocals or because they are getting over a cold.....etc but then again this is an oldie and Joe was super young!
@@mrslywwilliams313 I had forgotten that this wasn’t the original key. We were on tour and Joe took a few keys of songs down because he didn’t want to lose his voice straining on them every night.
I love the performance but I hate that the band transpose the key of the song down a half of a step. I know it made it easier for Joe to sing but I know he can kil it in the original key
Joe is the truth hands down in the r&b game
Flawless love him!!! Underrated..a real gentleman
Joe is definitely a beast vocally. His voice is so soulful and melodic.
joe never ever hits a bad note, the guy is just amazing live, 6 times now...waiting for more.
You're right! He is one of the few commercial R&B male artistes that truly knows/pays attention to his voice and its abilities, at any given time.
EasPoetloveWater I agree except I wouldn't say he is commercial. just pure tru RnB
Commercial meaning the record deals/radio and video airplay on major music TV networks.
EasPoetloveWater fair enough
Verdade o cara é legal canta muito True the guy is cool he sings a lot
I miss those days when couples went out just to listen to great music❤ in shows like this.
The good old days. 👍🏾
Joe better sing!!!!! He's one of VERY FEW artists' that I have NEVER seen a bad performance from (voice wise). His voice only gets better with time!!!
Agreed 💯 Can't be beat
Cool: Voice Wise 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 and i agree, Joe is the best ❤
Amazing singer. Great band. Joe is so underrated, his voice hasn't changed in almost 20years now!
Joe is so smooth. 💋
Joe is such a great Rnb artist
That live band murked this track good luadddddd! Wish they had a live band instrumental to this track
No we didn't.
The whole band was great, bring them to concerts!!!
I remember the Keenan Ivory Wayans show having the best
sound and set up for it's live performances!
Exactly wish they would release the whole H-Town clip and interview
Me and my family love this man 😩😩 my 2 year old 4 year old and 8 year old can sing his songs word for word 🥰😍🤞🏿
Be careful… you might want to wait till they’re around 18 before they start understanding them. 😂
Since when I started listening to Joe's songs I said that this guy has a different talent

It has definitely stood the test of time.
Listened to this song way back 1999. Good ole days ❤️
Love yah Joe 🙋🏻
Blasian Beauty definitely good ol days. Thanks for the comment. I haven’t looked at this in a long time.
Jamaicafunk You’re most welcome 🙋🏻
He needs to come back here for another concert that’s how great he is. But so underrated to me.
HE IS A BLACK DIAMOND, JUST BECOMES MORE AND MORE BRILLIANT! I REMEMBER THIS PERFORMANCE, ALL EYES ON JOE😳

I gotta believe there’s a Roni for me somewhere in this world I’m not gonna stop gonna search till I drop till I find that girl 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Nice one, I love you Joe.

if allen iverson is to basketball, joe is to R&B music.
YESSS! CHANGED THE GAME😉
This is a sexy song!!! Omg🙌🏾
😏
I love you
You had the patented keyboardist groove-nod goin', Gene. That's not as easy to get right as folks think. And a dark haired Kenji Hino. Hilarious!
Classic
Belo lindo amor magnifico
Awesome!
@keysfromqueens 'Had'?? I'll always be doing that! I used to bang my head against the pillow to sleep with the radio on nights when i was a kid.
WAAAOUUHHH!!!!!!
Just amazing 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks.

Is that Jimmy Cozier singing background?
Yep. One of his first gigs!
Trying to see if there are any musicians in the chat. What key arrangement is this in?
I’m playing keys in the video. (Although it was a long time ago.) It’s in A
@@Jamaicafunk thank you!
@@mrslywwilliams313 No problem. The first chord is an A11 which is like an A with a D in the bass

How was Joe to work with? He seems down to earth and wants to provide the audience a quality show and the best
Ivory Johnson Good brotha. Workaholic. Perfectionist. Not caught up in the “Star” thing. He’s more into creating than performing.

I love the performers but I hate that the band transpose the key a half step down. I know Joe can sing it in the original key like the album
Joe transposed it. Not the band. He said the higher parts in the song were killing him singing it every night while on tour.

More than a half step. It was like a 3rd. He could kill it. But not every night during a month long tour.
