'She Wolf' from Megadeth's live DVD - 'Rude Awakening' is an absolute must for you Lex. There are half a dozen or so reaction videos of this one - I hear Dave Mustaine himself makes sure they don't get blocked.
This is the best Megadeth song in my opinion. Been in the metal game since I was 12, going on 26 now. No regrets. Glad to have you guys with us. Welcome to the community.
Musical gymnastics. I dont think I've ever heard Megadeth described so perfectly. Every member of Megadeth is a master of their craft. Only band i know of like that!
Yeah the vocals are really second priority with this band. The instruments the riffs come first! Dave knows that he isn't the best vocalist around. He is first and foremost a guitarist. The vocals are just to give a message.
Lex was on point when she said “you can’t just walk into megadeth” it’s hard to appreciate what is going on and I like the fact that brad keeps it real with us. I think that a good suggestion would be “she wolf” from the rude awakening dvd, on that live version they extended the solos and added nice melodies that are not hard to follow and those are not in the original track. Also the lyrics are nice so it’s a win-win for you both!
@@efrensanchez3666 ikr right. I have heard many other thrash metal bands but Megadeth is the most unique sounding therefore the best of all I have heard of... And I realized that after accidentally listening to Holy wars, consequently whole album...
I first heard Megadeth when they first released Killing is my Business… in 1985, I was 7 years old. My friend’s older brother would blast it out his bedroom window.
Yessss!!!! More Megadeth!!!! This whole album is amazing!! Lucretia is another good one from this album. You should definitely checkout Wake Up Dead from the Peace Sells album!!
4:35 really good observation by Lex. It’s why Marty Friedman is one of my favorite guitar players. He finds the right notes to use that other players ignore
Love watching Lex's appreciation grow, and you are absolutely right, you can't just walk into Megadeth! There are soooooo many amazing songs to listen to. She-wolf live is great, Good Mourning/Black Friday is a masterpiece but I would love to see you react to Ashes in Your Mouth. Keep it up Lex! The further down the rabbit hole you go, the more gems you'll find
"Advanced Metal". Awesome way to describe it Lex. I like it, and I agree. Everyone in Megadeth (especially this line-up) are absolute top tier musicians. Extremely gifted. There are no sub-par players in this band. The line-up for this album is my favorite line-up to date. Marty Friedman and Nick Menza (R.I.P.) really put their stamp on this.
Wooweee love me some Megadeth, huge catalog of great track's. Two amazing track's that are often overlooked are Hook in Mouth and Poison was the Cure. You two are awesome, blow's my mind the production quality you attained with limited resources. Skill's, my hat's off to ya!
I dont think Hook in Mouth is really underrated right now. Typically yes but the politics bringing it back like Dave shooting the government a bird and telling us, "I told you so".
One of the most remarkable Metal albums of all time. If there was an album hall of fame, this would be in it. Marty Friedmans playing is untouchable. I would like to see you guys do a reaction video live from a Megadeth concert. The energy will have you grinning ear to ear.
Nick the drummer (r.i.p) was really into aliens and ufos, and whilst this album covers aliens it does cover a lot of other themes as well, vic the mascot is on every in this one he just happens to be with aliens. In my darkest hour should be the next stop on the megadeth train
From this album guys you still have to do Lucretia, Polaris and Take no Prisoners. However I am eagerly awaiting your reaction to Good mourning / Black Friday from their 'Peace Sells' album....
I don't have ten ears, but I have a heart, I have a soul... if you can't feel that outstanding solo from Dave at the end of the song, maybe it's because you're not in this world anymore.
That was a trip at 8:20 when Lex described them as advanced metal. I had a friend back in the early 80's when we were kids that had a denim jacket covered in metal band patches. There was one huge one that took up the top third of the back that said "MEGADETH The most technically advanced metal band on earth". I had not thought of that in years but soon as Lex said it It was like I was looking at the back of his jacket again. They have a lot of amazing tracks and Dave writes some of the most advanced rhythm parts in metal.
Great reaction, I really apprecieate your vids! You guys should check out “ In my darkest hour” for the next Megadeth reaction, it’s a really deep song, but Dave’s vocals are incredible and the guitar is awesome too, one of the best metal songs of all time in my opinion 🤘
This song is pure art. It's so well crafted. It almost encapsulates fear. It's god level. You can't write this again. It's done. You could die on that outro solo with no regrets. Pure Five Magics.
Here's some instrumental recommendations: For The Love Of god - Steve Vai (Live with orchestra version) Altitudes - Jason Becker Call Of Kthulu - Metallica
“Musical Gymnastics” is damn right Brad. You nailed it! I love metal, but love prog rock too… think you both would enjoy Genesis “Firth of Fifth” - piano 🎹 intro is jaw dropping. It’s British progressive rock musical gymnastics from the same era as YES - Roundabout. Rock with it! 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
You guys need to watch the 20th anniversary show of Megadeth performing the entire album Rust in Peace at the Palladium theater you can find the video of the show on RUclips but I personally think that the show gets better every time I watch it
The whole thing about Megadeth is natural and pure atitude! This song and others are about coruption, gouvernment, lies and people. In one word POWER. Dave just wipes the wail off in his own manner so that everyone can see and understand.
Bass player Dave ellefson grew up on a farm 60 miles from my home town in Jackson Minnesota has his own brand of coffee ellefson coffee company roast in peace
Lex Is so undeniably turned on by guitar!! At the end if the song I can see her imagining herself playing that guitar solo, while also expressing every note with bodily and facial expressions! Someone give her a guitar and lessons!!! Doesnt matter what song shes listening to - the guitar parts are what she digs most
Thanks again Lars and James for kicking Dave out of the band!!! 🙏🏻✌🏼
Amen to that!!
Hell yeah ! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Hey, it was Dave's plan all along to prove he was the better Thrash artist than all of Metallica put together.
This album, along with Countdown to extinction beats anything Metallica put out after Justice.
'She Wolf' from Megadeth's live DVD - 'Rude Awakening' is an absolute must for you Lex. There are half a dozen or so reaction videos of this one - I hear Dave Mustaine himself makes sure they don't get blocked.
YES!!
I remember Dave sharing Lost in Vegas reaction to Holy Wars. I am glad Dave gets it.
Yes definitely I’ve been suggesting She Wolf live Rude Awakening because I think Lex will absolutely love it!!!
Yessssssssssssssssss
It’s such an awesome video !!! It’s a song you expect to be on guitar hero with the dueling guitars and incredible drums!!!
"You just don't walk your way into Megadeth" -Lex
Dave Mustaine would be proud to hear this from you.
All I know is you can walk yourself out of megadeth pretty damn quick 😄
@@scottvance7520 Thats funny!
@@scottvance7520 yes very much Megadeth make you feel like that 😂😂
I think at the time they said something like 'start of the art speed metal', which I think it pretty accurate.
Tell that to Jeff Loomis when he tried that at age 16 ..
Now listen to some Nevermore!
The magic was the musicianship - off the charts
500 magics ❤
This is the best Megadeth song in my opinion. Been in the metal game since I was 12, going on 26 now. No regrets.
Glad to have you guys with us.
Welcome to the community.
It's in my top 3. Technical as f*ck.
Hard to argue with that 👍 On this album it’s really hard to pick the best song cuz it’s packed with bangers. But most will always go with Holy Wars.
My favorite off this album.
Been in this game since I was 5 and now I'm 30. Damn I'm getting old.
My top 3:
1. Holy Wars
2. Five Magics
3. Peace Sells
Musical gymnastics. I dont think I've ever heard Megadeth described so perfectly. Every member of Megadeth is a master of their craft. Only band i know of like that!
While I always noticed the level of the musicianship, it was the effectiveness of the music that impressed me most.
@@uslegions2619 precisely. inspiration trumps potential every time.... that being said, it helps when you can.
Lex: "I don't know how to explain Megadeth."
Brad: "They're a lot." 😆
You can't rush megadeth, Dave will sing when he sings just rock your head an enjoy the buildup
Yeah the vocals are really second priority with this band. The instruments the riffs come first! Dave knows that he isn't the best vocalist around. He is first and foremost a guitarist. The vocals are just to give a message.
So glad you didn't do a reaction from the remastered version.

I first heard Megadeth when they first released Killing is my Business… in 1985, I was 7 years old. My friend’s older brother would blast it out his bedroom window.
That album doesn't get enough love from people, it's fast as hell
One of the best albums of all time. If you disagree, you're wrong.
Please do lucretia, one of the greatest guitar solos ever
Marty's solo from Lucretia makes Tornado of Souls feel almost easy. It's not even fair.
The most mathematically amazing metal band ever
Megadeth is the 🐐!!!
Yessss!!!! More Megadeth!!!! This whole album is amazing!! Lucretia is another good one from this album. You should definitely checkout Wake Up Dead from the Peace Sells album!!
Guitar work is insane
One of my favorite Megadeth songs. It's based on the novel, "Master of the Five Magics" by Lyndon Hardy.
Best of the big 4, IMO, amazing live too
Easily the best.
"Advanced Metal" .....I love it!!
4:35 really good observation by Lex. It’s why Marty Friedman is one of my favorite guitar players. He finds the right notes to use that other players ignore
The fuckin time signatures and transitions on this whole album are honestly slept on!
Lex was really grooving to that 5/4 part. I’m impressed 🤟
They are a very Talented band no doubt. If they were a meal it would be a 5 course feast.
Give me celery
Give me broccoli
On my spaghetti
Lots of anchovies
Finish with some cheese
Feed it to me please
Every one of these
I master
5 courses
@@RastaganTheGreen nice one maybe not celery though.
Very technical playing most definitely.

4:28. The Best Megadeth description ever. I takes a fan to know one, and Lex is a fan. Nice.
This whole album, is amazing! Lucretia is FIRE!!! PS Check out Skindred, they are a unique mix of metal and reggae!
They did rat race by them awhile ago
Nick the drummer (r.i.p) was really into aliens and ufos, and whilst this album covers aliens it does cover a lot of other themes as well, vic the mascot is on every in this one he just happens to be with aliens. In my darkest hour should be the next stop on the megadeth train

Polaris rules.
Yes, Polaris and Good Morning/Black Friday. Highly Recommended 🎸
They already covered Good Morning Black Friday I think? If they haven’t then they should. Also The Conjuring from the same album Peace Sells
These lyrics are based on a book named Five Magics by Lyndon Hardy.
Advanced metal - I like that. Yes deep lyrics and a lot of sounds all coming together for some good ear candy!
This is actually one of my go to Megadeth staples, love this song.
I don't have ten ears, but I have a heart, I have a soul... if you can't feel that outstanding solo from Dave at the end of the song, maybe it's because you're not in this world anymore.
"complex musicianship" thank you for appreciating it! Cuz it really is.
Believe me!!! Ashes in your mouth it’s and awesome song!!! From the Countdown to extinction album 👍🏻
I'd hate to take his ass to a symphony orchestra! 2hrs of Bach & he'd be yelling " Where are th words ?? Is somebody gonna sing??!"😂
Of the first 4 albums, definitely the cheeriest
I luv how much Lex enjoys Megadeth!
This line up, unbelievably talented.
Very excited for their new album!
lex is always loving the dave solos specifically.
I think she prefers Dave's straight shredding over Marty/Chris' melodic solos

Agreed!!
This is one of Megadeths best songs and it shows just how talented a guitarist that Dave Mustaine really is
Megadeth-Good Mourning/Black Friday
Brad: thinks this is a long intro.
Opeth's To bid you farewell: old ma beer
Manowar's Achilles, the Agony and the Ecstasy...thanks for the warmup
probably the most 'easy listening' song that Megadeth has is Angry Again. has that nice drive.
Dave’s got such a snarl in his voice! It’s like has contempt for the people and things he sings about. Love it!
This song is pure art. It's so well crafted. It almost encapsulates fear. It's god level. You can't write this again. It's done. You could die on that outro solo with no regrets. Pure Five Magics.

For The Love Of god - Steve Vai (Live with orchestra version)
Altitudes - Jason Becker
Call Of Kthulu - Metallica
Yall are jammin out to a thrash metal classic album !
The first channel of react that i subscribe, the harmony between you is amazing
This is a very professional song, one of my top 5 Megadeth. Maybe the most professional and difficult one.
Musical gymnastics. Never heard that analogy before but it's spot on B-rad.
early in the song he says exactly whom he would have dethroned, given such power to
theme park of different sounds is a beautiful description brad ;)
Megadeth was billed as The World's State of the Art Speed Metal Band
The lead guitar player at that time was a dude Marty Friedman. He was a mad man.
Musical gymnastics... I like that!
Megadeth was once described by Dave Mustaine as: State-of-the-art Speed Metal Band
Y'all need to check out sweating bullets by them!!
For a change of pace of Megadeth, listen to “A Tout le Mone” . A change of pace for Megadeth.
A Tout le Monde

If you want a different side to Megadeth, "A tout le monde" is a great example. Both versions.

Captive Honour is a good one to do if you want the lyrics to start right away.
I LOVE when Brad has his, analysis face on.🤨
I couldn't click fast enough today guys. Lexi n Brad you guys are great..keep up the outstanding work and God bless you two
ManOwaR - Spirit Horse Of The Cherokee
Also, from the same album "The Burning"
Back in my days (whatever that means) Megadeth style was called Techno Thrash. It made sense as their music was/is very technical.
The whole thing about Megadeth is natural and pure atitude! This song and others are about coruption, gouvernment, lies and people. In one word POWER. Dave just wipes the wail off in his own manner so that everyone can see and understand.
MegadetH Shewolf Live Rude Awakening
Jaw dropping musicianship
Megadeth - Good Mourning/Black Friday, Ashes in your mouth.
Bro, black people never seem to know what to do with their bodies when listening to metal. So funny to see. Yall always get in the hip hop vibe hahaha
I think you'd love the Megadeth track, 'Kick the Chair'.
Great choice
Thanks more early megadeth cheers from Australia

Megadeth is intense!! Check out-Rust In Peace (Polaris); My Last Words; In My Darkest Hour 🤘
She was impressed she is a fan now
The creepy voice over you hear is Metal Vic. The dude on the cover holding the green power crystal in his hand.
Poison was the cure from this album is a must
You should listen to The Mechanix from Megadeth live from Rude Awakening. Lex will love the guitars on this song.
I used to say, whenever i first heard Rust in Peace, that it was like Jimi Hendrix did metal
