My pt and chair vendor are pretty adamant that i apply for a Jazzy elite but your set is more in line with what I imagined I would like. Maybe just foldable for transportation car trunks. Thanks I think I will be able to share this and hopefully get them to rethink some options for me. Much appreciated!🫶🏼👍🤜💥🤛

Wait! You can afford a $10,000 Spinergy ZX-1 Power Add-on but can't afford a couple hundred bucks for plastic or even CF side guards for that matter? I'm confused.

My insurance covered the power add-on in full but not the side guards. I don't remeber why they didn't, I think it was because they saw the attatchment as nessisary (with my hemiplegic migraines) but the plastic/CF side guards as an unnessisary extra. However, I am planning on buying some CF side guards out of pocket.

This is a new chair after being a wheelchair user?! Who on earth measured you and suggested this general setup?? It’s safe to assume you don’t wheelie, nearly at all?

This is my firs time having to use a wheelchair. My doctor and physical therapist suggested this set up because of the type of neurological condition I have. I can do wheelies when not attached to the Motor part.

Chronically_ Me I’m just curious mostly and by all means, if it works for you it works, but I can’t help feel a much more fitted chair would feel so much drastically better on all fronts. Your COG is SO far forward, and not that you can’t wheelie because you claim to, but the effort it takes to do it is enormous when it should be as easy as apple pie. Mostly, I’m just fairly obsessed with wheelchair stuff in general and just got my second chair to replace my original which is 7 years old now. Please don’t interpret this as rude or mean in any way, it’s surely not intended to be!

Chronically_ Me I assume you have control and use of your legs, along with core function. There’s NO doubt a much much more aggressive chair would be so much better. NO taper at all and a back for a quadriplegic only adds weight and size in general. Try adding a bit of dump and see how it feels. You may have to adjust the casters to be perpendicular to the floor after adding dump, but it’ll feel like you’re more in the chair vs sitting on it.

Chronically_ Me the “other” push bar is fine for people to use, but it’s def not for that at all. It’s a rigidizer and helps support the back canes.
