Aside from lack of very-needed dry brushing and questionable accuracies, the fact that it's Daimajin is epic! This really shows that Bandai is diversifying in the MMS line. And the new EVAs really make that apparent.
Yeah, just the fact that Bandai are making more than Godzilla these days is very nice! Daimajin deserved better but I will say it’s still a very much a welcomed release. Here’s to hoping IF they do 2 & 3 they go off off!
The Revoltech figure is far superior in terms of sculpting and painting, but it is still a recommendable figure.
Very much so, especially for newer fans of Daimajin.
Hopefully, at some point, Revoltech and other companies will put out reissues of their Daimajin stuff.

I was tempted to get the revoltech of this guy a while ago, but this is a much cheaper option

They should make a Bandai Movie Monsters figure of Guilala from X from Outer Space because he's by far the best Kaiju ever.
Bandai is probably not making multiple Daimajin figs. This is intended as a general-purpose Daimajin. Just like the Heisei Godzilla '92 - '93 - '94.
If that’s the case, then they should’ve just made the figure with the stake in its head. But, they made one that could easily just be repainted and outfitted with tags and paint apps that can match 2 & 3. I think multiple are possible at this point & if it sells well Bandai is just the company to re-release the same figure 3 times with different paint lol
But at the end of the day, you could be right on the money. I’d hope not, and that they’d just do the other two and maybe the Tv show & Yokai War versions but it wouldn’t surprise me if this were it.
@@ShinRobjira Also, the spike would be so small, it may be prone to breakage. Just try finding a Showa Mogera with the antenna, LOL. Maybe not a problem with modern softer vinyl, but who knows?
I don’t think that would’ve been as much of a problem as it was back in the day lol it’s not a thin spike by any means, I think they could’ve made it work. Oh I know all about Showa Moguera hunting…. It’s awful. They’re either marked to hell or missing one, both, or half an antenna 😭

Face so scary and fantastic.Paint color is sinple but details are real. Since there is no stake for the head, the second movie is probably the details base.
Indeed, I’m hoping that’s the case! I can live without the stake if 2 & 3 are on the way! Hopefully they’ll do the Yokai War an Kanon version as well!

While the paint application leaves much to be desired, I can say with full certainty that this is a pretty good Damajin figure, and while I do wish he was holding his sword, it's more of a nitpick then a genuine complaint

Ehhhhhh.. maybe Meh at the worst. Even with all its issues I’d still say this is better than the 2019 reissue of the 1954 Godzilla Bandai shat out.
